Lilina and her classmates were awed by the golden-haired girl’s imposing aura; the air around seemed to drop a few degrees.

The golden-haired girl suddenly strode toward Lilina, extended a finger, and pointed: “You. Come with me.”

Hearing her name called, Lilina couldn’t help but tremble slightly, a trace of fear flickering in her heart.

Without hesitation, the golden-haired girl turned and left the training ground.

Lilina didn’t want to follow, but after seeing Rabi expelled over a single remark, she didn’t dare resist. She obediently trailed behind.

“Lilina…”

Alimi called out her name, worry lacing her voice.

“It’s fine, Alimi. Don’t worry about me,” Lilina replied with a forced smile before following the golden-haired girl away.

Dark Beasts casting magic was unexpected. But this gave Lilina more leverage—better treatment awaited her.

Stephanie hadn’t stopped the golden-haired girl; she knew it’d only benefit Lilina.

I’d planned to catch their attention at the tournament. She noticed earlier than expected. Well, the outcome isn’t bad.

That family is detestable, yet perfect for Lilina’s current situation.

The current President’s personality isn’t terrible, though still equally loathsome.

May you have a brilliant future, Lilina!

Stephanie gazed at Lilina’s retreating figure, lost in thought, as if recalling something…

Lilina followed the golden-haired girl to the Student Council headquarters. Seniors along the way pointed and whispered.

“Isn’t she a lowerclassman? Why’s the President personally guiding her? Jealous!”

“Her clothes scream Commoner Class. How’d she get here—with the President leading? Jealous!”

“Jealous!”

Lilina felt their hostile stares, her unease deepening. She hugged Wu Yan tighter in her arms.

Wu Yan nearly wept with emotion. Today, he finally felt his girl’s little buns (→_→). He’d thought her chest was flat as an airport runway—turns out it wasn’t absent, just tiny…

Seriously, what is this place? The girl quality here is unreal. So many scoring over 80 points. But why do they glare at me so harshly?

Did they catch me peeking? Impossible. My eyes are small—my vision can’t be that sharp!

“President! Huh… huh!”

Alimi’s figure flashed into view before the golden-haired girl. Hands braced on her knees, she panted heavily.

“Hmm. Good work,” the golden-haired girl nodded.

A chorus of gasps erupted from the onlookers.

“No! I’m not tired! I’m so moved you’d care, President!” Alimi’s eyes reddened, tears threatening to spill.

Lilina instinctively stepped back two paces.

The golden-haired girl ignored Alimi’s theatrics, striding past her toward her office as if accustomed to the scene.

Lilina hurried after her. Only after they’d vanished did Alimi realize she’d been left behind. “President! Don’t abandon me!” she wailed, chasing after them.

Inside her office, the golden-haired girl locked eyes with Lilina. “You may join the Student Council.”

“Huh?”

Lilina froze, the words not sinking in immediately.

“President, the Council members will resent this!” Alimi protested, trying to stop what she saw as a rash decision.

“I know. It’s a test. If she can’t handle this, she doesn’t belong here.”

“I… I can join the Student Council?” Lilina asked, disbelief thick in her voice.

“But she’s just a Mage Apprentice—and a commoner…”

“Enough, Alimi. I know what I’m doing. Leave. I need to speak with her alone.” The golden-haired girl’s tone brooked no argument.

“President…” Alimi bit back her words, retreating reluctantly. She shot Lilina a final glare before closing the door.

“I… I really can join?” Lilina whispered, still unable to believe it.

“Scottia.”

“Huh?”

The golden-haired girl held Lilina’s gaze, firm and serious. “My name is Scottia. Call me that from now on.”

Lilina hadn’t expected this. Everyone in the Student Council used “President”—would using her name make her stand out too much?

“I’ll stick with ‘President.’ Isn’t that what everyone calls you?”

“Scottia.”

Hearing the uncompromising command, Lilina hesitantly tried it.

“Scottia…”

“Good. You’re my secretary now.”

“Huh?!”
