After spotting the battle spirit’s injuries, Titan and Shadowblade’s hearts instantly ignited with fervor. Both had already brushed against the ‘Soul’ realm. If they could eliminate a battle spirit and absorb the soul essence formed upon its death, they’d break through to the ‘Soul’ realm.

Of course, the strength of the fallen battle spirit directly impacted their power after ascension. Both had initially aimed for a mere Grade-B soul essence—but the appearance of this wounded Grade-A battle spirit now made their ambitions shift uncontrollably!

*A critically injured Grade-A battle spirit… If we gamble everything, we might actually win.*

“Huh?”

“So are you two leaving or fighting?”

Lin Chuan still couldn’t grasp the situation. Why had these two, who’d just declared retreat, suddenly started breathing heavily? Their scorching gazes fixed on the mysterious knight in the sky like starving men eyeing a naked woman sprawled on a bed. It made Lin Chuan’s scalp prickle.

Then—

A massive wave of Spirit Energy erupted from Titan, rippling outward like shockwaves. The ground trembled beneath its pressure.

“Team up first. Kill him. We’ll split the spoils later.” Titan’s face twisted into a fanatical grin. Crimson Spirit Energy completely engulfed his massive axe, as if the blade itself was wreathed in flames.

“Agreed.” Shadowblade’s eyes narrowed slightly. *Whoosh!* His figure vanished from the spot, leaving behind a perfectly detailed footprint on the ground.

“Damn it! So you *are* fighting!” Lin Chuan groaned as both men suddenly unleashed their auras and charged the black knight in the sky.

Lin Tang’s expression turned grave. “Bro, be extra careful this time. This enemy is stronger than anyone I’ve ever faced. Even injured, his power can still threaten us badly.”

Hearing his sister’s serious tone, Lin Chuan paused, then nodded. “Got it.” He turned to Feng Ye. “Brother Feng Ye, I’m counting on you for the crucial interrupts.”

Feng Ye nodded firmly. “Don’t worry. With me here, he won’t unleash any battle skills.”

Trusting him completely, Lin Chuan flashed a thumbs-up before charging into the fray with his katana. Meanwhile, the JingSu Brothers hopped onto their skateboards. Twin streaks of black-and-white light flared beneath their feet as they sped toward the battlefield. When the light dissipated, everyone felt a surge of heat flood their bodies—as if raw power had seeped into their veins, boosting speed and strength.

Lin Tang held back. Her strength was far weaker. She studied Feng Ye curiously. “Brother Feng Ye, are you *sure* you can interrupt that guy’s battle skills? He’s a Grade-A battle spirit! Are you planning to slap him silly like you did my brother earlier?”

“To knock him out? Impossible. He’s a soul entity. But disrupting the Spirit Energy he gathers? That I can do.”

“He’s Grade-A! Do you really think you can sneak behind him and whack him with a brick?” Lin Tang sighed, feeling he’d completely missed the point.

“Trust me.”

As Feng Ye spoke, his eyes tracked the battle. The black knight in the sky had fully awakened under their assault. Landing heavily, he unleashed waves of dark energy that repelled their first wave of attacks.

“How is he this strong even injured?!” Titan staggered back several steps, shock flashing across his face. Gritting his teeth, he hefted his crimson axe. With a mountain-crushing swing, he aimed for the four legs of the knight’s mount.

Shadowblade, already ghostly, became utterly untraceable after the JingSu Brothers’ speed boost. A flicker of shadow—then he materialized beside the black knight, thrusting his spear like a venomous snake. Every strike was lethally precise.

*Clang! Clang!*

Sparks exploded mid-air. The black knight parried every one of Shadowblade’s phantom strikes. Wielding a long spear himself, the knight flicked his wrist. Countless spear points glittered like icy stars, forcing Shadowblade back. Then—a violent tremor. All those spear points coalesced into a single, vicious thrust that struck the flat of Titan’s descending axe with uncanny accuracy.

A colossal force surged up Titan’s arms. He roared, channeling even more power to keep his axe from flying away. Crimson Spirit Energy flooded the blade. He stepped back, then twisted his body, using the rebound to swing the axe down again—aiming to cleave knight and mount in half. The heat radiating from the blade became unbearable.

***Battle Skill: Falling Flame Axe!***

A blaze tore through the air. The searing axe-shadow split the atmosphere, sending shockwaves roaring outward with deafening cracks.

The black knight’s overwhelming pressure forced Titan to unleash his signature move without restraint. Amplified by the JingSu Brothers’ boost, this single strike nearly shattered the limits of a Grade-B Awakened’s power—brushing against the threshold of the ‘Soul’ realm!

Nearby, Lin Chuan watched the erupting flames, feeling the scorching heat ripple across his skin. Shock filled his eyes. *This power… from a Rare-tier battle skill?* He’d learned mostly Ultra-Rare skills himself, yet he doubted he could match Titan’s execution at this level.

*Little sister was right. I needed to get out there and learn.*

*There are too many strong people out here. Sheltering under Father’s wings will never make us grow.*

Firelight reflected in Lin Chuan’s glasses—then his shock deepened. From the heart of the explosion, Titan’s body shot backward like a cannonball.
