7:50
"Mmm~~~" The girl in bed raised her arms and stretched out with a big yawn. Then, the one in a loose little T-shirt sat up. She rubbed her messy black hair and picked up the alarm clock from the corner—it had somehow fallen and cracked. "Hmm, only 7:50 awake? Guess today’s another energetic day..."
She got up slowly, used the bathroom, brushed her teeth, combed her hair—it all took over half an hour.
"Hmm..." She glanced at the bed, then at the clothes tossed on the floor. Fighting the urge to nap again, she peeled off her T-shirt and pulled on her school uniform shirt and jacket. At the door, she scratched her butt and froze. Something felt off.
"Ummm... Oh, I forgot my pants..." How careless of Miss Lixin.
8:45
"Auntie, one caterpillar bread and a pack of milk, please..." At the school store, Lixin held up two fingers to the shopkeeper.
With all students in class, no one should be here. The auntie, buried in a book, instantly recognized her.
"Little Xin... skipping again today?" she asked helplessly while handing over the items, though she knew the answer.
"Huh?" Lixin blinked, then wore a face that screamed, "Wait, is today a weekday?" The auntie jumped.
"You... forgot you have class?" The auntie stared, shocked. Had she grown so sick of school she couldn’t remember normal days?
"Haha, Auntie, joking! I’m going to class—just woke up late." She brushed it off, inwardly thinking: What’s wrong? Qin Fan should’ve called to nag me! Why no call? Whatever.
Lixin waved goodbye and left. Even if Qin Fan called, she’d laze in bed anyway. Well, late already—might as well skip.
9:00
She found a comfy spot under a tree in the school park and lay down. Nice and cozy. Perfect for a nap.
10:15
"Huh?" A rolled-up paper tube smacked Lixin awake. "Lixin! Skipping class to sleep again? Student council—now!" Cleyna’s furious voice cut through.
"Ah...? Can I skip?"
"Don’t give me those dead-fish eyes! No escape today!" Such a hassle.
12:20
Lixin stepped out of the Central Tower, yawning. She checked her watch. "This late already? No dinner call...? Whatever, too lazy to ask. Grab a bite, then nap at home."
She bought buns, a sausage, and milk from the store again, then headed straight to her dorm. Time to live like a pig.
1:30
Her watch’s comm call jolted Lixin awake. She rubbed her eyes and answered, "Lixin here. What’s up?"
"Combat training in thirty minutes. Don’t be late." The Principal’s voice. She suddenly remembered his one-on-one martial arts lesson... "Okay... coming..."
2:00
In the academy’s advanced combat arena, the Principal checked his watch. Before him, Lixin panted, hands on her knees. "Right on time. Very you. Rest up—we start soon."
5:00
"Steady your center! Stay low! And stay alert—enemies don’t always attack head-on; ambushes happen! You’re easily tricked, like now." The Principal feinted a right punch, then twisted mid-move into a spinning kick!
"Ow!" Lixin crumpled, kicked in the waist.
"Sigh... more practice needed," the Principal said helplessly.
"I quit! Haven’t won once! Done! Going home to shower, eat, sleep!"
"You lazy brat!" He started scolding but froze.
"?" Lixin followed his gaze down... Her sweat-soaked shirt had turned transparent, revealing her bare chest—she’d forgotten her bra.
"You perverted old man!" She covered herself, glaring.
"Ahem... ahem..." The Principal coughed. "Enough for today. You’re tired. Rest, haha."
".................."
6:30
After showering, Lixin called Qin Fan. Before she spoke, he snapped, "Skipped class today. You’re doomed."
"You didn’t call me! Or sign me in?!" she fumed.
"Not my fault! You told me not to!" His reaction was fiercer.
"Huh?"
Flashback to last night: Lixin called him. "I’m studying hard now! Don’t bother me tomorrow—no calls, no sign-ins. I’ll handle it!"
"You sure...?" Qin Fan doubted.
"Trust me! Alarm’s set." She put down the clock confidently.
Back to 6:30 this morning:
"Ding-a-ling!"
"Smack!"
"Thud!"
The alarm rang, silenced instantly by a pale hand and hurled against the wall. "Mmm... who’s so mean... setting alarms..." She mumbled and rolled over.
Now... Cold sweat beaded on Lixin’s temple. Oh no. Totally forgot.
