Liang Yunqi beside Zhou Zhiyi suddenly laughed, her bell-like giggles reaching his ears.

"You two really do look like a young couple..."

"Who'd ever be a couple with this scoundrel!"

Hey, am I really that worthless?

"Did I get it wrong?"

Liang Yunqi feigned confusion, her tone dripping with playful teasing.

At least, that's how it seemed to him.

"Of course you did!"

"Alright, I'll drop it. Class is starting soon."

Liang Yunqi smiled meaningfully, picked up her pen again as if ready to study.

Just as she said, the class bell rang moments later.

"Let's go, Zhou Zhiyi. Today, I'm absolutely beating you."

This came from Li Han, a sports dunce. In others' memories, he was Zhou Zhiyi's close buddy and court rival.

But to Zhou Zhiyi, it was utterly ridiculous.

He never recalled being friends with Li Han. Ridiculous—the old him barely played basketball.

At most, he kicked a soccer ball as a defender.

Yet Zhou Zhiyi couldn't defy the Rascal Lolita God's second male lead Fate Mark. He'd faked friendship with Li Han for a month, learning his quirks.

"Beat me? Wait another hundred years!"

Before, that would've been pure bragging.

Now, it was just stating facts.

"Still so confident. I love that about you."

"No thanks, I'm not into guys."

Zhou Zhiyi joked but followed him anyway...

"Hey, stop being such a freak!"

Chen Yu yelled at Zhou Zhiyi, eyes wide with shock like he was seeing a monster.

"Dude, you could go pro with skills like that!"

Li Han patted Zhou Zhiyi's shoulder, panting.

"Nah, I just crush amateurs like you." Zhou Zhiyi stood at center court. "Watch this."

Zhou Zhiyi barely knew basketball; his form was sloppy. But this second male lead Fate Mark made him unerringly accurate—godlike.

He lined up an ultra-long three-pointer from center court.

Girls always gathered courtside; it was routine.

Qin Huan was there too, for some reason.

Maybe that's why he decided to show off.

Zhou Zhiyi just knew he'd make this shot.

He launched the heavy ball. It arced gracefully like a glider across the sky. Then—swish—it hit nothing but net.

The dull summer air burst alive with applause. Zhou Zhiyi couldn't help smiling.

"This isn't fair..." Li Han gave a bitter laugh, his worldview shattered. "How do I even compete?"

"Just luck."

Zhou Zhiyi wiped sweat from his brow and glanced courtside. His eyes locked with Qin Huan's.

After a startled pause, she quickly looked away, a blush staining her fair cheeks.

"What's got you so spellbound?"

Li Han waved a hand before Zhou Zhiyi's face, curious.

"Watching a beauty. Problem?"

"Sure, sure. Which one?"

"None of your business." Zhou Zhiyi's lips curled slightly. "Another three-pointer coming up."
