Mirena moved with slow, deliberate steps to the door of the so-called 'toilet'.

She studied the iron door before her.

It seemed tightly sealed shut.

Yet, Mirena gently caressed its surface.

Honestly, it didn’t look like a toilet at all.

Even outside a Vampire’s restroom, you wouldn’t pile up this much clutter, right?

Had Mirena not been careful, she’d have tripped over the mess long ago.

From her past experience, this was likely a side door leading out to the street.

A rarely used entrance, hence the clutter.

But the real issue was the thick iron chains wrapped around the doorframe.

—No matter how she thought about it, she could never force this open with her strength.

“Damn it. That woman treated me like a fool…”

Mirena sighed deeply, then kicked the door in despair.

To her shock, it swung open.

Outside blazed the high-hanging sun and an endless blue sky.

Most importantly, that vile Vampire wasn’t beside her.

These signs gave Mirena a whiff of freedom.

—Should she really leave?

Her mind wrestled with the thought.

Logically, this wasn’t the time.

But before her hesitation could settle, her feet were already sprinting outward.

If she had a chance to escape, did she really crave being a Blood Slave that much?

So Mirena ran wildly toward the horizon.

No destination. No clue where to go.

Yet she had to keep moving.

At the street corner, figures cloaked in black emerged from both sides.

This alley was secluded enough that their strange attire drew no stares.

—Had Hestia sent them to watch her too?

Mirena froze instantly.

A few steps from them, she spun around and bolted back the way she came.

But two more figures blocked her rear.

Tall. Imposing. Cutting off her path.

—She… she was surrounded.

Beg first. Just beg.

“P-please… don’t tell the master. I’ll go back… I’ll return to where I was…”

Mirena pleaded desperately, planning to slip past the cloaked men when they glanced away. She darted toward the door.

Before she could react, strong arms hoisted her onto a shoulder.

“Hey! What are you doing!? I said I’m going back! Let me go! Let me go!!”

Mirena thrashed wildly on the shoulder.

The cloaked figures ignored her struggles.

They simply carried her off without a word.
