Earlier, I’d used the excuse of handling official duties to slip away for some rest. But even after delegating many tasks to my trustworthy subordinates, a significant pile still required my personal attention. That’s why Cecilia and I had left together—to tackle those matters. As for Wuluwu and Ona, I’d simply sent them to wait in my bedroom.
Ona appeared obedient, but she was, after all, a Demon. Given their inherently chaotic nature, expecting her to manage anything was wishful thinking. I quickly decided against letting her handle my affairs. As for Wuluwu… though capable, I personally preferred she stay out of my personal matters.
So, with a grand wave of my hand, I ordered them to prepare for the night’s duties.
“Mm… done.”
After painstakingly finalizing every document Cecilia had brought, I slumped back into my chair. These past few days, Lily’s situation had consumed me, leaving my own responsibilities neglected. And as mentioned before, the Demon Race’s council meeting loomed closer—internal affairs had piled up relentlessly until today.
Plus, I still needed to prepare for the human army’s advance.
“Tch. Handling internal affairs feels more exhausting than fighting a battle,” I grumbled, leaning against the chair back with a sigh.
“Battling enemies drains your body, Dark Lord,” Cecilia remarked while sorting her files. “But governing drains your brain cells.” She closed the last folder. “All finished, my lord.”
“Heh heh~ Time to cuddle with my lovely consorts~”
I lounged in the chair for a moment before springing up—flipping three times mid-air and even changing direction once… solely to dodge Head Maid Cecilia’s counterattack.
The moment I launched myself toward her—while she was still tidying papers—the thought *“Now’s my chance!”* flashed through my mind. But I wasn’t foolish enough to ignore the flash of silver streaking toward me. Cecilia never held back; her strikes *hurt*.
I twisted mid-flip, narrowly avoiding her defense.
“I thought you’d take it like a proper Dark Lord,” Cecilia teased, watching me head for the door.
“No witnesses around. Why suffer needlessly?” I shrugged, grinning back at her.
“Alright, since work’s done, get some rest, Cecilia~ Time for me to enjoy my well-earned pleasures~”
With that, I skipped out, already savoring the relaxation ahead.
“Haa~ Sorry to keep you waiting~”
I swung my bedroom door open wide. There, sprawled boredly across my bed, were Ona and Wuluwu.
“Now then,” I licked my lips, eyes locked on the two beauties before me. “Let’s do some things that please me.”
