Rebecca stared blankly at the astonished Noko, then nodded.

Seeing her nod, Noko’s eyes widened instantly. “Only two people in the world can use the Sword Art of the Wind Saint right now. You’ve seen it??”

“Uh…” Rebecca froze for a moment, then trailed off, unsure what to say.

“Where did you see it?” Rebecca stayed silent, but Noko pressed on, determined to dig deeper.

Rebecca’s head spun. What could she say? The Sword Art of the Wind Saint—anyone could guess it tied to the Sword Saint of Wind. He was still farming veggies deep in the Dark Forest’s Grand Canyon of the Demon Race. The name itself came from him. But Rebecca had no clue only two humans knew this art! One was Noko. The other must be that veggie-farmer Sword Saint. Damn it! She’d just blurted out when she recognized the moves. Now this mess! What rotten luck…

“…” Rebecca stayed quiet, at a loss for words.

Noko stared intently at her.

“Ah, Teacher Noko, is everything okay?” Another teacher ran over, clearly worried about the stray magic ball from earlier.

Noko glanced away. “Nothing’s wrong.”

“That’s good… One of my students lost magic control. The ball flew off. Luckily, no one was hit.” The teacher sighed in relief, then left with an awkward smile.

Noko looked at the teacher, then at the troublesome students. He felt confused and frustrated.

“Free time for you today.” Noko abandoned the planned drills. The young masters and misses cheered, running off without a second thought.

The students left. Only Rebecca and Noko remained.

“I started teaching at Hobi Academy last year. I haven’t used the Sword Art of the Wind Saint once since then. Even that move just now—it wasn’t the real art. Just a simple burst of fighting spirit. At most, a faint trace of it. Yet you recognized it. That means you’re very familiar with it. Before coming here, I don’t recall meeting you. So where did you see it?” Noko stared piercingly at Rebecca, as if trying to see through her.

Rebecca looked at him, helpless. But with things as they were, what could she say? So…

“Yasuo… Sword Art of the Wind Saint…”

Well, Yasuo was the Sword Saint of Wind’s name. Back then, he’d charged to the Dark Lord’s palace gates, announcing himself to Rebecca’s father for a duel. Rebecca, present at the time, was shocked by the name. Yasuo? Wasn’t that the guy from that game who yells “Hasagi! Are you gonna die?!”? And this guy called himself Sword Saint of Wind, could summon wind. Wasn’t this a cosmic coincidence?

Before Rebecca could process her surprise, the Sword Saint of Wind, Yasuo, was knocked out. His mother, making lunch, had whacked him with a rice spoon she had handy.

“You… met my brother…? When?” Noko’s voice trembled with excitement.

My brother? Rebecca froze. She hadn’t expected Noko to be that vegetable farmer’s brother. But despite her shock, she told the truth: “A month ago…”

“What???” Noko’s volume shot up eight octaves.

Rebecca jumped at the sudden shout. She frowned, but Noko didn’t notice. Forgetting his teacherly demeanor, he grabbed her shoulders. “Is my brother alive?”

Rebecca secretly pursed her lips. In her mind: “So you thought he was dead?”

“Is he alive? Is he alive? Speak!” Noko shook her urgently.

Rebecca lowered her head, glancing pointedly at his hands gripping her shoulders.

“Ah, sorry! Sorry! I… I got carried away…” Noko realized his lapse and quickly let go.

“From now on… don’t bother me… I want to… read in the classroom…” Rebecca seized his desperation to bargain.

Noko hadn’t expected this nun to be so shameless. But he desperately needed news of his brother! All reports said his brother was dead. Yet Noko, as his sibling, refused to believe it. Eight years passed with no word. He’d started to waver. Now, hearing this, how could he not be excited? He abandoned his duties, bowing to the dark forces… Yes, Rebecca was the dark force~~

“Fine! I won’t bother you. In my class, do whatever you want!” Noko waved his hand, abusing his authority.

Rebecca smiled slightly, satisfied.

“Yasuo… is in the Grand Canyon of the Demon Race…”

“Grand Canyon of the Demon Race? That’s a forbidden zone! Almost no one can reach it! Huh? Are you sure? Are you lying? A little girl like you saw my brother there a month ago?” Noko felt tricked and grew angry. Rebecca was joking about his missing brother!

“I… I’m not lying…” Rebecca said earnestly.

“You’re not lying? What ability does a teen nun have to enter that place? The mighty Dark Lord is there!” Noko’s tone was sharp, though he held back his fury.

“I… stayed there…”

“You’re joking? You stayed there… Wait… You’re… Duke Ruta’s granddaughter?” Noko suddenly remembered.

Rebecca didn’t nod or shake her head. She just watched him quietly.

“I knew it! You’re Duke Ruta’s granddaughter! Oh! You’re telling the truth! It’s true!! You really met my brother! Hahahahaha! My brother’s not dead! Not dead!!! Hahahaha!” Noko burst into wild laughter.

Rebecca watched him worriedly, afraid he’d laugh himself to death from holding his breath.
