"Xiangsi, we can begin."

In the guild channel, Nai Xiaodu typed this directly on the public screen.

"Copy that. Let’s go!" replied a player with the ID "Tears Bury Xiangsi." The entire guild channel fell silent.

Sweat beads the size of beans dotted He Yucheng’s forehead. Where did Nai Xiaodu get the confidence to assume he’d definitely join? Her move clearly meant this operation had been prepped long ago.

"Clearing out Butterfly Shadow’s trash is simple enough. I’m just worried Drunk Immortal Palace might stick their nose in…" Nai Xiaodu sounded slightly uneasy. Earlier, Xiaoye had warned them: there was a traitor within Sentinel Tomb’s alliance.

If Sentinel Tomb was making such a big move, other guilds might not know—but Sentinel Tomb’s own headquarters definitely did.

If even internal operation details were leaking, Nai Xiaodu could confirm one thing: the spy was inside Sentinel Tomb HQ!

Judging by Nai Xiaodu’s plan, she’d left everything to other guild members.

"Nai Xiaodu, after this is done… can I get a reward?" Xiangsi’s ID popped up again in the guild channel.

"What kind of reward~?" Nai Xiaodu replied sweetly.

"You know what~"

"Get lost!"

Nai Xiaodu flipped her attitude instantly, like a different person…

Naturally, He Yucheng and the others were utterly bewildered, unable to keep up with her mood swings.

The guild channel quieted down. He Yucheng wondered if Sentinel Tomb was sending their entire roster into battle…

Sentinel Tomb’s strength—most of their top hundred players were probably involved…

Pitting that firepower against Butterfly Shadow’s alliance of five-hundred-ranked guilds…

Victory was already clear. Only time remained.

Any surprises left? Only the traitor issue…

The five reached Radiant Imperial City’s streets. Compared to earlier, fewer people lingered here—but the city gates swarmed with onlookers.

Flashes of light effects lit up the sky outside. No need to look: the battle raging beyond was intense. Sentinel Tomb’s second guild versus Butterfly Shadow’s alliance—both legendary names. Wars like this were must-see events. Some players even activated camera mode, "live-streaming" on radio channels.

He Yucheng’s group just needed to slip out amid the chaos. First stop: Eternal Night City. Leveling required main quests. No main quests meant no dungeon access. Everything started in Eternal Night City.

"Tsk tsk…" Such large-scale guild clashes were rare spectacles. Hundreds fighting—outside Sovereignty Wars between alliances, you’d never see this. Normal guild wars capped at 30v30.

No wonder crowds gathered. Some players, furious at Butterfly Shadow’s city blockade, even charged to help Sentinel Tomb. But the skill gap was too wide. With the targeting rule ignoring everything but guild tags, those reckless players died instantly and respawned in town. Others who’d planned to charge shrank back…

"Hey, why’d Sentinel Tomb pick a fight with Butterfly Shadow?"

"Who knows? Butterfly Shadow pissed everyone off by blocking the city. Sentinel Tomb probably snapped."

"Hmm, maybe…"

Most players chattered, guessing wildly about the war’s cause. Nothing made sense—Sentinel Tomb’s mobilization was massive, like a long-planned ambush.

He Yucheng listened, three black lines forming on his forehead… How long had he played this game? How many server-wide scandals had he caused…

The most legendary figure in gaming history? Probably him…

"Time to go?" Nai Xiaodu winked at He Yucheng. Lengjiang stayed like a hissing cat, swatting away Nai Xiaodu’s hand when she reached for He Yucheng.

"Oh dear, little Lengjiang~ Can’t let go of him, huh?" Nai Xiaodu teased mischievously, making Lengjiang blush crimson.

"Ahem. Not the time for this," He Yucheng cut in, eyeing the fierce battle outside. Sentinel Tomb held the advantage now—but a bad feeling gnawed at him. If they didn’t leave now, escape might become impossible.

"Ugh. If only this battlefield were farther away… guarding front and back is exhausting…" Recomposed Words winced as sword beams, lasers, and cannon fire crisscrossed the sky.

"I think this is fine. At least it’s not like this morning…"

"Don’t remind me! If you hadn’t charged in with that Meteor Sword, we wouldn’t have had to hide so hard!"

After their morning fight, Recomposed Words and Moonshadow had become partners—and bickering buddies all afternoon.

"Enough," He Yucheng interrupted. If he let them keep arguing, it’d never end. He knew Recomposed Words too well.

"Fine, fine. Go on, big bro and the ladies first." Recomposed Words shoved He Yucheng forward. A # symbol throbbed on He Yucheng’s forehead.

All day, He Yucheng had wanted to hang Recomposed Words upside down and beat him. He’d even forgotten what started it this morning…

The moment the five stepped past the city gates, blades whizzed toward them. They dodged frantically amid flying projectiles.

Suddenly, dozens of figures burst from the distance, attacking Sentinel Tomb members!

With these reinforcements, Sentinel Tomb began retreating!

"Just as I thought… Drunk Immortal Palace!" Nai Xiaodu’s face darkened. Above the newcomers’ heads glowed the guild tag: "Drunk Immortal Palace."

"Watch out!" He Yucheng glanced back instinctively—and spotted players charging straight at them!

"Hmph. You run. We’ll handle this~" Golden light flared from the bracelets on Nai Xiaodu’s wrists. A magic circle formed, charged briefly, then blasted a laser beam!

He Yucheng scanned the battlefield. Sentinel Tomb’s earlier advantage had vanished; they were now at a disadvantage.

Drunk Immortal Palace’s players were terrifyingly strong!

He Yucheng had planned their route. He signaled Recomposed Words and the others. They followed without hesitation. Truth was, escaping was toughest with random ranged skills flying everywhere. They had to keep Invincibility and Forced Break ready—who knew if more players would target them?

They sped through the battlefield, aiming to put distance between them and the chaos. But the seemingly empty wilderness ahead erupted with three figures. They appeared in a flash, surrounding He Yucheng’s group!

Invisibility?!

He Yucheng gritted his teeth. To avoid being stunned, he swerved sharply with a Charged Thrust, dodging the attack aimed at him!

Anyone fighting here was top-tier in-game. Not a single one could be underestimated!

He Yucheng dodged—but Recomposed Words and Moonshadow, thinking the danger had passed once they cleared the battlefield, never expected this ambush.

Both were launched into the air by two players, locked in suppression!

Only three attackers: two focused on Moonshadow and Recomposed Words; one chased He Yucheng!

"Oh? Long time no see!" He Yucheng retreated steadily. He knew his limits: without full PvP skills, he couldn’t beat any top hundred player one-on-one. So he dodged relentlessly. When he recognized his pursuer, he sneered. "The server’s thickest-skinned elder. Been waiting long?"

Yes—the one hunting He Yucheng was Lichou!

Lichou’s face was grim, humiliated beyond words. He’d wanted to tear He Yucheng apart for ages!

He Yucheng wouldn’t give him the chance. Lichou was hot-tempered but undeniably a top hundred PvP player. One-on-one, He Yucheng might survive temporarily—but once his skills cooled down, defeat was inevitable.

He had no business fighting Lichou now!

"Brat! You’re fast on your feet!" Lichou chased while He Yucheng fled. But He Yucheng never led him toward Eternal Night City. His Displacement Skills were fewer than Lichou’s. To avoid being cornered—and with three friends to protect—he couldn’t run far!

Lengjiang stood frozen, unsure what to do. Moonshadow and Recomposed Words knew they were outmatched but still used Forced Break, Invincibility, and Displacement Skills. Death was certain anyway—every extra breath counted. They barely escaped suppression before being caught again.

Lengjiang wasn’t naive. She kept casting heals on them, but supporting two at once was impossible. She only slowed their health bars’ descent.

"Lichou!" The two players tormenting Moonshadow and Recomposed Words shouted. Lichou understood—they meant: this healer brat is annoying!

What should’ve taken seconds now stretched to minutes with Lengjiang’s heals. If the others survived longer, she could fully recover them.

Lichou couldn’t catch He Yucheng, that slippery rat. His plan? Same as before—attack Lengjiang!

Though Lengjiang’s weird fireball skill was scary, all three ambushers were top hundred players. They knew how to dodge bullet-hell attacks!

He Yucheng could stall one attacker briefly—but not all three!

He saw the cold mockery in Lichou’s eyes. No need to guess: he’d target Lengjiang again!

But this situation was nothing like the morning. If all three surrounded He Yucheng, he wouldn’t last ten seconds!

Just as He Yucheng feared, Lichou stopped chasing him. He pivoted, charging toward Lengjiang nearby!
