After roaring once, Qin Jun the bear strolled leisurely toward the adventurers, looking utterly relaxed.

When they hid nearby, he pretended to sit on the ground, rubbing his face with his bear paws.

The innocent-looking girl carrying a giant axe was Nora. As she watched the bear, she calculated how much it could sell for.

She owed heavy debts and needed money fast—no one knew what her creditors might do.

So whenever she hunted Monstrous Beasts, she only thought of their price. To her, even high-level beasts were just varying sums of cash.

She gripped her axe tightly, but Ferrero beside her stopped her. The middle-aged man had more experience. He sensed danger from the bear—it was beyond their strength.

He knew well that in Monster Forest, they could only handle low-level Monstrous Beasts. A true high-level one could wipe them out in a single glance.

But Nora felt no danger at all. She wanted to kill the bear.

Ferrero sighed, glancing at his teammates: Angluo, Anqiaolu, and Lucy.

They clearly refused to fight. No amount of money was worth risking their lives.

Ferrero nodded reluctantly. "Nora, let’s go," he whispered. "We killed the Wild Boar King today. Its magic crystal and hide will buy plenty of food."

Nora hesitated. "Uncle Ferrero, you know I need crystal coins desperately to pay debts."

"But you must live to spend them," Ferrero urged. "We don’t know this Monstrous Beast’s level. How can we fight it?"

Levels weren’t visible unless displayed, unless using perception magic like Qin Jun’s. Of course, no one else had his 100% success rate.

Nora insisted stubbornly, "I feel no danger. It’s just an ordinary beast. Watch me take it down."

Ferrero wanted to argue further—he had a daughter her age.

But Lucy cut in, "Uncle Ferrero, stop wasting words. She’s an outsider we only let join for her skill. If she courts death, it’s not our fault."

Ferrero looked helplessly between them. "We’re leaving. If you kill the bear, return later. I have no choice..."

Nora stopped him, smiling. "It’s fine. I’m grateful you let me join your team, Uncle."

She waved and turned to stare at the bear.

Ferrero sighed again and left with the others.

Qin Jun watched it all, chuckling inwardly: This girl really is obsessed with money.
