Hearts Entwined: A Valentine's Day Speci
update icon Updated at 2025/12/10 17:30:56

Today was February 14th—the legendary Valentine's Day.

Since ancient times, it’s been hailed as paradise for couples, the Holy War day for the FFF Brotherhood, when torches and gasoline sell out completely.

This year’s Valentine’s fell not long after Lunar New Year.

The weather wasn’t too cold anymore. To be precise, the outdoor temperature was still low, but the sun blazed brightly. Sunlight flowed like liquid gold, spilling onto the empty ground before our house, wrapping everything in cozy warmth.

Almost noon now.

I lay on a rocking chair in the yard, swinging my legs slightly, wrapped in a fluffy blanket.

Ah… so comfortable.

Thankfully, when that idiot Bai Su was house-hunting, I’d pushed him to buy this mansion—I remembered it was sold cheaply because the owner desperately needed cash. Just picturing the owner’s bewildered face when he saw Bai Su, an immature kid, contacting him to buy it made me chuckle.

After all, Bai Su didn’t look like one of those young, filthy-rich heirs at all.

Well, honestly, unless you specifically knew, who’d guess this slightly handsome young guy was one of the hottest top authors in online literature?

I smiled contentedly, then glanced at the big boy on the rocking chair beside me. Wrapped in a blanket, he rested with his eyes closed.

It was Bai Su.

Moments ago, he’d been typing away beside me. But when he got tired, he’d asked Uncle Zhang for a blanket, moved his chair into the sunlight, curled up like me, and started dozing off.

Uncle Zhang was a professional introduced by the previous owner to manage the siheyuan. If I had to describe his job, I’d call him… the siheyuan butler? It made sense. This was a huge courtyard, and Bai Su and I were rarely home. Without a reliable person watching over it, we couldn’t feel at ease.

Buying the place had been easy, but maintenance and repairs were troublesome.

Luckily, the previous owner was a kind-hearted older brother. Seeing us siblings as nouveau riche who’d never lived in such a big house, he’d found us Uncle Zhang—an old hand who knew the ropes.

That’s why Bai Su and I could laze around on rocking chairs, enjoying this rare, comfortable winter sunshine.

But come to think of it, it’d been ages since we’d been this relaxed—not since Bai Su and I confirmed our relationship.

Recent days felt endless: Xiao Yu, Sister Wu, Yan Yan, Wang Feiyang… and all the messy class stuff.

Only today did we finally get downtime, lying comfortably in the warm sun—a rare blessing.

I looked up. The sky was a deep, pure blue—a shade impossible to find later—like the clearest sapphire, glowing with a warm halo that made you drowsy just staring at it.

But it wasn’t time to sleep yet.

I pulled off the blanket, stood up, tiptoed away from Bai Su, and found Uncle Zhang trimming the Chinese evergreen plants in the yard.

Uncle Zhang was skillful. With a few snips, he turned the overgrown plants into perfectly trimmed, vibrant ones.

I stopped behind him, watching. When he finally paused, I said:

“Uncle Zhang, busy?”

He turned instantly, giving me a warm, honest smile. He put away his scissors. “No, no, almost done.”

“I see…” I nodded. “Time to cook, right?”

“Mm.” He glanced at the sun overhead. “It is time.”

He looked down, smiling. “What would you two like for lunch? I’ll have my wife cook it.”

Facing his smile, I paused, then instinctively recalled Auntie Zhang’s incredible cooking.

Damn.

Just thinking about it made my mouth water.

“Anything’s fine!” I said. “Whatever Auntie Zhang makes is delicious!”

“Ah!”

Uncle Zhang beamed, happier than if his own skills were praised.

“Then I’ll go wake that lazybones Bai Su for lunch.”

“Mm-hmm,” he smiled. “Go ahead. I need to call my wife to start cooking too.”

I turned back to the yard’s center. That lazybones Bai Su was still sound asleep on the rocking chair, wrapped in the blanket, softly snoring—like a dead pig.

I sighed helplessly and walked over. Watching him sleep, a bold idea popped into my head.

Why not pull a major prank while he’s out cold?

I thought secretly, then slowly leaned in, ready to scream in his ear.

But I completely miscalculated. That sly dog Bai Su wasn’t asleep—he was faking it. The moment I got close, he sat up instantly, reached out, and yanked me into his arms.

Damn it!

I wanted to struggle, but remembered we’d confirmed our relationship… and it was Valentine’s Day. So I just let him pull me close, facing his chest, lying on him.

Ugh…

This position was so embarrassing!

Bai Su sat on the rocking chair; I sat on his lap. I gripped his collar to avoid falling—but this pressed me right against his body.

Damn!

I bit my lip, turned my face away, enduring the burning flush spreading across my cheeks, too shy to look at him.

But I felt his body temperature rising steadily too. Something hard pressed against my lower belly, growing firmer by the second.

The air instantly grew hot.

I knew what it was. And I knew if I didn’t escape now, it might lead to an irreversible tragedy. So—I steeled myself and pleaded in a weak, trembling voice: “Bai Su… can you let me go…”

His teasing voice came from above: “Hmm, what if I say no?”

*No my ass! I’ll bash your head in!* I wanted to snap, but lacked the guts to recklessly court death right now.

So I kept pleading weakly, hoping that perverted Bai Su would have a moment of conscience.

Ever since I became his girlfriend, he’d seemed obsessed with devouring me completely, always finding ways to tease me daily.

Luckily, I’d always cleverly escaped this hentai’s clutches.

“When all else fails, act cute”—my foolproof method for dealing with Bai Su.

So, when in doubt, act cute.

I went all out. I loosened one hand from his collar, curled it into a cat paw, placed it beside my cheek, and tried to look adorable. “Meow~ Big brother, can you let me go, meow?”

I clearly saw Bai Su jerk back, cover his nose, and heard a soft gulp as he swallowed.

His mood could be summed up as: *Ah, I can die happy now!*

I sighed, exasperated by my die-hard lolicon and siscon boyfriend. I jumped off his lap, snorted coldly. “Get up for lunch!”

Then I turned and left.

“Hmph!” I muttered. “I won’t talk to him anymore!”

For the rest of the day, we didn’t exchange a word. Out of pride and embarrassment, I hid in my room the whole afternoon.

Finally, darkness fell. February 14th, this Valentine’s Day, was drawing to a close.

I felt regretful but didn’t know how to make it up to Bai Su. My mind was a mess. After a long while, I hastily threw on clothes, slipped out to find him.

To my shock, Bai Su stood right outside my door.

I didn’t know how long he’d waited. When he saw me, his face lit up. He turned and waved vigorously in one direction.

Then—crisp pops echoed, flashes bright enough to light the night sky erupted, and colorful fireworks filled the world instantly.

I froze.

Brilliant fireworks shot up, blooming and fading without pause, forming a river of light… or a new starry sky.

A warm surge rose from my heart; my nose tingled. I suddenly… felt like crying.

Bai Su walked toward me.

He reached out, patted my head with a smile, then pulled me into a hug.

In his arms, I pressed tightly against him, greedily breathing his scent. I’d never felt him so intoxicating.

“Su Su,” he said.

I paused.

“In this world, only the two of us are left.”

“Sometimes I think… when Mom and Dad had their accident, I even felt relieved. No one would stop us anymore. We could move to a city where no one knows us, become a couple everyone envies.”

“Now that wish has come true.”

“Su Su, I like you, really like you, very much like you, especially like you… We might be the closest and loneliest two people here. We huddle together for warmth. We can’t be separated.”

“Su Su,” he called my name.

I looked up, meeting his eyes.

“Even so, will you walk with me forever? Even if it leads to eternal damnation?”

I understood. I just smiled and said firmly: “Yes.”

In this world, if one person must stay by his side, it’s me. Only I will walk with him, even into eternal damnation.

Bai Su smiled, hugged me tightly, whispering in my ear: “Good. Then this fireworks show and myself are my Valentine’s gift to you.”

I paused, then smiled.

If that’s the case, I can’t back down either!

I gritted my teeth, grabbed his hand, yanked him inside. With a bewildered look on his face, I sat on the bed, trembling as I slowly undressed, revealing a body covered only by ribbons at the key spots.

I bit my lip, ignoring the burning flush on my face. I pointed at myself. “Come on! This is my return gift for you!”
