"Jiang Juan?" Wang Hao frowned slightly, displeased by Jiang Juan's sudden interruption.

"Director Wang, as a direct witness, I saw everything from their first encounter to the conflict. I believe I have the right to speak." Jiang Juan's voice was cool and clear. His lake-blue eyes remained calm, showing no hint of favoring Guyen.

Guyen glanced at Jiang Juan. From this angle, only his profile was visible.

His face seemed a little smaller. Guyen was oddly impressed he could notice such things right now.

"Indeed, Jiang Juan makes a valid point. Please continue." Zhuo Huzhi gave a slight nod, gesturing for Jiang Juan to proceed.

Gu Yu'an's heart pounded. She stared at this student, beautiful as if stepped from a painting, terrified his next words might seal Guyen's fate.

"I was waiting at the bus stop when I saw students from another school block Guyen and his friends at the gate. They forced the three away. Worried, I followed from a distance." Jiang Juan's gaze was clear as water, his exquisite lips parting slightly. His cool-white skin held no trace of flush. His steady tone felt utterly convincing.

Zhang Ning stopped panting. His eyes widened a fraction as he looked at Jiang Juan, then flicked to Guyen. What was happening?

Guyen raised an eyebrow slightly, catching on fast. He pressed his lips tight, turned his head aside, and lowered his eyelids—looking utterly wronged.

"Then the three were herded into an alley. Too far to hear words, I only saw them shove Guyen after speaking."

"Guyen didn't retaliate. They escalated, shoving him repeatedly until he was pinned against the wall. The others surrounded Zhang Ning and his friend. Guyen was forced to kick back, escalating everything." Jiang Juan paused there.

Everyone knew Guyen's true nature. Yet Jiang Juan lied boldly, acting so righteous.

"Jiang Juan, words matter. That student with the broken right arm is still hospitalized." Wang Hao couldn't fathom why Jiang Juan defended Guyen. Last time, weren't they at each other's throats?

"Yes, Director Wang. Zhao Zhuoyang occupies the next bed." A faint smile curved Jiang Juan's lips as he met Wang Hao's gaze.

Zhang Ning watched Jiang Juan stand firm against Wang Hao. He suddenly recalled those old forum posts about Guyen and Jiang Juan. He'd laughed them off, even teased Guyen. Now...

"As student council president, Jiang Juan would never show bias," Zhuo Huzhi stated firmly.

"Enough. If both sets of parents agree to mediation and drop charges against Guyen's group, we'll issue a public reprimand. All three go home for a week's reflection." Zhuo Huzhi waved his hand, closing the discussion.

Wang Hao gave Jiang Juan a long, silent look.

"Zhang Ning, stay until your parents arrive. Ms. Gu, take Guyen to the hospital—the other parents are likely there."

"Thank you, teachers." Gu Yu'an accepted gracefully. She shot Guyen a glance, then offered Jiang Juan a warm smile before leading Guyen away.

"Jiang Juan, you're free to go. We've taken much of your time." Zhuo Huzhi nodded.

"Understood. Goodbye, teachers." Jiang Juan replied politely and left the principal's office.

As he opened the door, Jiang Juan spotted Guyen at a nearby corridor corner. At 183 cm, he towered over Gu Yu'an, yet now he resembled a large dog—dark brows drooping, head bowed slightly, silently enduring her endless scolding.

Seeing this, Jiang Juan suddenly smiled.
