Yang Han subconsciously swallowed, her mouth slightly open, shocked by the audacity of the boy before her. How dare he be so arrogant?

At that moment, Zhao Zhuoyang stepped to Guyen’s side. “Director Wang, this rumor post has been shared countless times already. Deleting it won’t help. Guyen’s reputation is already damaged. Cases like this are common at my father’s law firm. I hope the school finds a better solution.”

Silence fell over the room. The atmosphere grew heavier. The three boys stood in a row, backs straight, eyes fixed unwaveringly on Wang Hao.

Wang Hao lowered his clasped hands from his chest. He gave Guyen a deep look, then pulled out his phone. After a brief ring, he said, “Hello, this is Wang Hao. Come over here.”

“Director Wang, standing this long is tiring. Can we sit?” Guyen slightly relaxed his tense muscles and asked with a smile.

“Of course.”

“Student Yang, you may leave. President Jiang Juan, please stay.” Wang Hao nodded to Yang Han.

“Director Wang, President Jiang, I’ll take my leave.” The room’s suffocating tension had already overwhelmed Yang Han. She hurried out, closing the door behind her.

“President Jiang, don’t stand. Join us. There’s space here.” Guyen patted the sofa beside him, raising an eyebrow with a smile at Jiang Juan.

“Thank you, but I prefer standing.” Jiang Juan returned a standard fake smile.

Guyen casually shrugged, unconcerned.

Time ticked by. Wang Hao chatted with Jiang Juan about student union matters.

“Director Wang.” A knock and a male voice echoed in the room.

“Come in.”

A very young male teacher entered. He glanced around, closed the door, and walked to Wang Hao’s desk.

“What did you need, Director Wang?”

“Teacher Chen, you handle the school app. This afternoon, false rumors severely affected Guyen here. You should see this.” Wang Hao stressed “severely,” then looked up at Zhang Ning.

“Hello, Teacher Chen. Please take a look.” Zhang Ning promptly stood and handed his phone to Chen Miao.

Chen Miao took the phone. His expression darkened with every second. As the app’s sole manager, this would hit him hard.

“I’ll contact someone to delete the post immediately.”

“Hmm. Also, trace the student ID bound to that anonymous rumor post.”

“Such issues shouldn’t happen here. Rumors must be nipped in the bud. The student will receive a public reprimand.” Wang Hao addressed Chen Miao, but his words were meant for Guyen.

“Understood, Director Wang. I’ll handle it now.”

“Go ahead, Teacher Chen.” Wang Hao nodded.

Chen Miao turned to leave—when Guyen suddenly spoke.

“Teacher Chen, wait.”

“This student?” Chen Miao glanced at Guyen, then back at Wang Hao.

“I’m the victim, Guyen.”

“Guyen, what else?” Wang Hao’s tone turned heavy, clearly displeased.

“Teacher Chen, Director Wang, we can’t ignore this. The poster spread rumors, but he’s not the source.” Guyen stepped before Chen Miao, idly fiddling with his phone.

“They’re just sharing opinions. Words may be harsh, but no lies. Or does your friend’s father’s law firm handle such cases?”

“Of course, I’m not accusing them. I just want to know who these two friends are. That’s not unreasonable, right?”

“This…” Chen Miao looked helplessly at Wang Hao, hesitant to agree.

Impatience flickered on Wang Hao’s brow. After a silent pause, he growled, “Check it for him.”

“Alright, Student Gu, wait.” Surprised by Wang Hao’s concession, Chen Miao stepped aside. He called his office, exchanged a few words, then hung up.

“The anonymous post is bound to Zhang Ling and Lin Qingya.”
