"Mm, okay."

Host Bingbing’s eyes lit up.

She stared at the diary entries on the public screen, guessing.

*"Could this diary really be true? Even the station director personally vouched for it!"* she thought, shocked.

But pressed by the live audience, she quickly spoke.

"Mm, yes, it’s possible. Everyone, please stay calm. I can confirm the person guaranteeing this is our martial arts program’s station director."

"Any questions now?"

Hearing the program head had intervened, the audience gasped in surprise.

Especially the invited guests—they shifted uneasily, eyes fixed on the flipping diary pages.

"Even the station director spoke up? This diary might actually be real..."

"What ‘might be’? It’s definitely real!" Ying Yuanyuan chimed in eagerly beside her.

Liu Xiyun’s face darkened instantly.

*This girl!*

And what was that station director thinking? How dare she vouch for this diary’s truth?

Didn’t she fear ruin if it was fake?

This was a national martial arts broadcast!

"Continue," the station director’s voice whispered in Bingbing’s ear. The diary page flipped.

[My martial arts plan is scrapped—but no big deal. Top priority now: find medicinal herbs.]

[Those two unlucky kids ignored me at first. But once their stomachs growled, they came running, calling "Brother! Brother!" for food.]

"Huh? So shameless? Selling their ‘steadfast souls’ just for a meal?" Ying Yuanyuan propped her chin, casually musing. Her big eyes teased Liu Xiyun sideways.

Liu Xiyun knew her jab and replied offhandedly, "Must be the little boy. He was the only one who could talk back then."

"Oh? Really? How do you know he wasn’t faking muteness?" Ying Yuanyuan grinned, turning back playfully.

Liu Xiyun realized she’d been tricked. "How do you know *she* wasn’t injured and speechless!?" she snapped.

"Ah? That? I dunno—I was just guessing~ hehe."

"You—" Liu Xiyun bristled, but Ying Yuanyuan cut her off.

"Xiyun, look! The diary skipped a huge chunk!"

Liu Xiyun’s gaze snapped to the screen.

The entry read:

[Days hunting herbs on the mountain. Slowly, those two unlucky kids healed under my care.]

[Maybe I was too soft—I cooked for them, played with them. They grew close, even fought to teach me martial arts. I refused. With my awful talent, I’d be ancient before mastering it. No time for that.]

[But that’s not the point.]

[Today... they seemed to agree. Together, they said goodbye. Leaving tomorrow... I don’t know why, but my heart feels... off.]

"Ah, the diary owner was busy gathering herbs!" Host Bingbing mused at the projection. "But I’m still curious—what medicine is this martial artist refining? That legendary secret brew to give ordinary people a qi sea?"

The audience buzzed again.

"Not likely. He couldn’t cultivate before, but now he senses martial energy. This isn’t about opening a qi sea."

"True. But as the diary says—that’s not the point. The genius boys are leaving. Will they take him out of the mountains?"

"They should! He saved their lives. Even if they don’t ‘repay’ him, taking him away is the least they can do. Imagine being alone in those mountains—anyone’d get depressed."

"Exactly. See how he felt at the end? Losing playmates his age... left alone in that wilderness. It’s heartbreaking."

Ying Yuanyuan stayed silent, stealing glances at Liu Xiyun beside her.

*She knew the diary owner never left with her best friend. Otherwise, Xiyun wouldn’t still be single.*

*"Did she run off with that man!?"*

Suddenly—Ying Yuanyuan’s eyes widened. Pure excitement flooded her face.

*Unbelievable! Unbelievable! HUGE news!*

*The nation’s goddess stolen by a man! Human chaos or twisted romance!?*

Her body trembled with glee. Liu Xiyun shot her a puzzled look.

*What’s wrong with her?*
