"Another one? Could it be another girl?" The audience's eyes widened in surprise as they discussed the diary on the main screen.

"This luck... The diary owner is incredibly lucky. Just found one, and another pops up."

"Buy one, get one free? Heaven’s being way too generous, pfft hahaha!"

"..."

The host on stage froze, never expecting his offhand remark to actually come true.

"Ahem, see? I told you this martial artist must be exceptionally talented, extraordinary. His experiences are quite bizarre." He cleared his throat twice before speaking.

Meanwhile, at the guest section, Liu Xiyun frowned in confusion, staring at the diary on the screen.

Another person saved?

Who?

How had she not known?

"Xiyun, the diary owner saved another person. Is it also a girl?" the girl beside her asked curiously.

Liu Xiyun shot her an irritated glare. "How should I know."

"But Xiyun, didn’t you recog—"

"I don’t know!" Liu Xiyun cut her off sharply, making the girl pout unhappily.

"Fine. I’ll find out by watching."

Before Liu Xiyun’s dangerous gaze could land, the girl quickly looked back at the hall’s main screen.

The Martial Diary flipped to the next page.

"No way!"

"Let me describe this: on this deceptively nice rainy day, I was gathering herbs in the valley when I found an unlucky kid. I took her home. Now, in this Death Marsh gathering herbs to save someone, I met another unlucky kid in the herb field."

"This other kid wasn’t unconscious—just had a weird look. Upon seeing me, he didn’t speak, staring like I was a predator, his big eyes locked on me."

"Sorry, but I don’t like boys. You’re watching me, so I’ll stay on guard! I planned to pretend I didn’t see and walk away..."

After reading the page, the audience in the Martial Hall gasped in surprise.

"Huh, it’s a boy. I thought it was another little girl."

"Pfft! Hilarious! The diary owner says the boy looked defensive, and he was defensive too. Why were they both on guard?"

"Maybe the diary owner’s ugly and fierce-looking, scaring the kid. His defensiveness is probably just joking, from the tone."

"Wait—did anyone notice if he actually saved the boy? This is the Death Marsh!"

The audience debated heatedly, many shouting for the host to turn the page.

The host stayed calm, savoring the suspense. "Everyone, don’t rush. The diary hints at a twist. This kind-hearted martial artist would never abandon the boy."

"Mm, makes sense," the crowd nodded.

Staff flipped the diary again at his signal.

A new page appeared.

"‘H-help me.’ Just as I planned to ignore him and leave, this unlucky kid spoke. I stopped and looked. Then... I regretted it..."

"He suddenly jumped up from the ground! Then pounced on me, pinning me down..."

"Damn it! I’m not into guys!"

"I struggled wildly and finally slapped him hard!"

"Holy crap! This plot’s intense!" The audience’s eyes bulged.

At the guest seats, Ying Yuanyuan stared oddly at Liu Xiyun, who looked equally strange, about to speak.

Liu Xiyun sensed it, turning sharply to glare. "Ying Yuanyuan, don’t ask me. I know nothing!"

As if fearing disbelief, she added, "I don’t know him!"

"Oh, you don’t know him, got it." Ying Yuanyuan nodded seriously, quickly refocusing on the main screen. "I’ll see for myself!"

"..." Liu Xiyun’s expression flickered—gloomy, bright, unreadable.

She never expected that guy to be pounced on by another boy... So embarrassing... She absolutely couldn’t admit knowing him.

"This martial artist’s unconventional—slapping him. But will the boy slap back?" the host chuckled.

"Haha, everyone’s curious! Let’s turn the page!"

"He was sent flying by my slap."
