Mu Yue Ran sat on the floor, tilting her head away, afraid to meet Ji Yueyi’s gaze from the sofa.

Ji Yueyi took a deep breath. She glanced at Yuchuge beside Mu Yue Ran—lost in daydreams—and suppressed her frustration. Her eyes returned to Mu Yue Ran, voice thick with sorrow: “Sister Yue Ran…”

“Have you really gotten this lonely?”

“You could’ve just called me to come back.”

“I was gone less than a week, and you brought another girl home…”

Ji Yueyi’s voice grew quieter, fading to a whisper like raindrops on leaves. Yet it pierced Mu Yue Ran’s heart.

She’d thought, since Ji Yueyi was away, she’d temporarily house Yuchuge here before finding her a new place.

It seemed like a good plan—until Ji Yueyi’s words made her realize she’d ignored her feelings. Coming home early, full of joy, only to find a pretty girl in her house… that must’ve felt unsettling.

“I’m sorry…”

Mu Yue Ran apologized sincerely. But the moment the words left her mouth, she froze. Wait—wasn’t this her own home? And they were all girls! Nothing could happen!

Had she been subtly manipulated without noticing?

Ji Yueyi shook her head, eyes soft with pity. She pulled Mu Yue Ran up from the floor, dusting off her pants. “It’s not your fault, Sister Yue Ran. You can’t be wrong.”

“It must be this woman acting pitiful to make you say yes!”

Ji Yueyi’s tone turned icy. Her glare shot toward Yuchuge like a blade. She knew Mu Yue Ran’s weakness: she melted for cute, airheaded girls. A little fake fragility, and Mu Yue Ran would give in to anything.

Yuchuge sensed the stare. Snapping out of her daze, she tilted her head and locked eyes with Ji Yueyi. A silent storm brewed between them. Caught in the crossfire, Mu Yue Ran felt fire and ice clash—she yanked them apart, seating them on opposite sofa ends while she stayed in the middle.

“Xiao Yue’er, listen to my explanation—oops, I mean excuse!”

Mu Yue Ran pulled Ji Yueyi aside, whispering Yuchuge’s tragic backstory. She painted it so vividly, even she felt choked up. But Ji Yueyi remained unmoved.

She peeked past Mu Yue Ran. Yuchuge sat quietly on the sofa, perfectly obedient.

*She seems like a calm girl. Probably harmless?*

The thought barely formed when Yuchuge shuffled over in oversized slippers—*patter patter patter*—and hugged Mu Yue Ran’s waist from behind. She buried her face in Mu Yue Ran’s back, rubbing her cheek against it.

Ji Yueyi: *smiled (a vein throbbing on her temple)*

“If Sister Yue Ran’s story is true, staying here is dangerous.”

“I’ll call Dad. He’ll send her deep into the mountains. Somewhere absolutely no one can find her.”

Ji Yueyi grabbed Yuchuge’s arms wrapped around Mu Yue Ran and yanked her off. Then she hugged Mu Yue Ran tightly from the front, glaring at Yuchuge.

Yuchuge didn’t know this blond stranger. But seeing her shove her away from the kidnapper—wait, *kidnapper*?—Yuchuge felt a strange unease. Like basking in sunshine, then clouds rolled in, pouring rain.

She was seriously annoyed!

Refusing to back down, Yuchuge hopped up, looping her arms around Mu Yue Ran’s neck. She dangled from her like a koala.

*Oh, you’re pushing it!*

*Gone. She has to go!!*

Jealous flames burned in Ji Yueyi’s eyes. Neither girl would release Mu Yue Ran first. Poor Mu Yue Ran, squeezed between two vibrant bodies, felt pain and pleasure mixed. Thankfully, her enhanced physique held their weight—otherwise, she’d have collapsed.

The doorbell rang. Mu Yue Ran’s food delivery had arrived. Swaying heavily, she shuffled to the door.

The delivery guy froze. Seeing Mu Yue Ran calmly take the bag while two girls clung to her, he slowly gave a thumbs-up.

Mu Yue Ran didn’t care if he was envious or shocked. After a night of intense activity, the little she’d eaten at the banquet was long gone. She was starving!

“Can you two get down? I’m starving.”

Ji Yueyi and Yuchuge exchanged a glance. A silent countdown flashed between them. At zero, both let go simultaneously.

Ji Yueyi frowned at the takeout boxes. “Sister Yue Ran, you’re eating fire noodles again? Your stomach will burn. I’ll make you porridge.”

“It’s fine!”

Mu Yue Ran waved her off, eagerly opening her box. Bright red noodles made her mouth water. Since tasting them on her rebirth day, she’d craved them—if she skipped a few days, her heart ached.

Yuchuge eyed her own seafood pancake, then stared longingly at Mu Yue Ran’s noodles.

Amused, Mu Yue Ran dipped her chopsticks in the spicy sauce and tapped Yuchuge’s outstretched tongue.

Instantly, Yuchuge’s face flushed. Sweat beaded on her forehead. She panted, “huff huff,” tongue out.

Mu Yue Ran burst out laughing, handing her milk. From the kitchen, Ji Yueyi peeked out, watching Mu Yue Ran like a hawk.

Barefoot on a stool, Mu Yue Ran scrolled her phone. She opened a mysterious website and saw a message from Wu Fan.

Big Bowl Wide Noodles: Bro, I saw the guy you mentioned. Truly extraordinary, just like you said.

Frostbloom Yue Ran: Bold move, bro! You went for it fast. How’d he react?

Wu Fan recalled Li Feng’s face shifting like a flickering screen—ads changing rapidly—before slamming the table, yelling “Shameless!” and storming off.

Big Bowl Wide Noodles: Not great. He couldn’t accept it.

Frostbloom Yue Ran: Normal. Most need time to accept people like us. But stay sincere. Show him your burning love. Even the toughest man falls for persistence. Don’t give up—miracles happen!

Across the screen, Wu Fan stared out his car window at the Li Group building. Fierce determination burned in his chest.

Big Bowl Wide Noodles: I won’t quit. I know it—he’s the one for me.
