After breakfast, Ji Yueyi dragged Mu Yue Ran straight to the nearby mega-mall—this time, she was the eager one.

Weekend crowds choked the place. Mu Yue Ran circled endlessly before squeezing the car into a corner spot.

Inside the vast mall, Ji Yueyi’s eyes sparkled at the glittering displays. Her first time stepping into such luxury; before, she’d only ever gazed from afar, too timid to enter this realm of fashion.

Mu Yue Ran, meanwhile, stifled a yawn. Shopping had never been her thing—past or present.

The first floor flaunted big-name brands. Though Ji Yueyi didn’t recognize the logos, she sensed their steep prices. *Way* beyond their budget. She headed straight for the third-floor boutiques, following the signs.

Mu Yue Ran almost mentioned she could afford splurges—thanks to the System’s rewards after securing Ji Yueyi’s perfect ending, she could buy a three-bedroom flat in a tier-1 city outright. But seeing Ji Yueyi’s bright-eyed excitement, the words died on her lips. *Let her have this.*

An hour later, Mu Yue Ran regretted her silence. In yet another clothing store, her legs trembled as she collapsed onto a sofa, sprawled like a beached fish.

*Guess turning into a girl didn’t magically grant me shopping stamina.* She glanced up. Ji Yueyi was intently picking out dresses, utterly absorbed. Mu Yue Ran shrank deeper into the cushions.

Her gaze snagged on a man beside her. Their postures mirrored each other exactly. He stared back, polite but awkward—*Why’s a girl sitting here like a suffering husband?*

Mu Yue Ran rolled her eyes, jerked her chin toward Ji Yueyi, and mimed *"I’m a victim too."*

The man’s eyebrows shot up. His expression shifted to something… unsettlingly knowing.

When his girlfriend called, he trudged off, arms laden with shopping bags, shooting Mu Yue Ran a *"May the odds be ever in your favor"* look.

Mu Yue Ran’s fleeting solidarity with fellow shoppers vanished. Ji Yueyi was already waving her over.

"Yue Ran-jie! Try this! It’s *made* for you!"

She held up a black dress—satin-trimmed straps, delicate shoulder cutouts. Student-chic meets subtle maturity.

After over an hour of browsing, this was the first piece Ji Yueyi insisted on seeing her wear.

Mu Yue Ran held the dress against herself. "Isn’t it… a bit short?" It barely reached her knees.

Ji Yueyi tilted her head. "Optical illusion! You won’t know till you try." She grinned. "Don’t be shy."

Trapped, Mu Yue Ran trudged into the fitting room. Before the mirror, she peeled off her hoodie. Staring at her reflection—just underwear now—she hesitated, then shimmied out of her pants. Cold drafts snaked under the curtain, prickling her bare legs. She rubbed her thighs together, flustered.

*"Stay calm. I’m a girl now."*

She fumbled with the dress, finally threading it over her head. But the hidden back zipper snagged above her waist. Twisting, she couldn’t reach it. Yanking risked tearing the fabric. Trapped, she eyed her own curves in the mirror.

"Xiao Yue’er… come here."

Ji Yueyi rushed over. "What’s wrong?"

"The zipper’s stuck. Help?"

Ji Yueyi pushed aside the curtain—then froze.

Mu Yue Ran braced against the mirror, palms leaving faint red prints. Her lower back arched, hips flared. Thin fabric barely contained the swell of her rear. The dress hung like half-discarded armor above her waist. She glanced back, chin lifted, lashes shadowing her eyes.

"Hurry… this is torture."

"O-okay…" Ji Yueyi’s voice trembled. Her own heartbeat roared in her ears.

Hands shaking, she traced Mu Yue Ran’s spine—cool as ice, leaving phantom trails.

"Found it yet?"

"Almost…" Ji Yueyi’s fingers hovered a breath from the zipper. *Why didn’t I pick a harder dress?* She inched it down, slow as torture.

Freed, Mu Yue Ran yanked the dress into place. The mirror reflected a stunning girl. She almost twirled.

*Okay… I clean up nice.* But the draft between her thighs? *Gonna take ages to get used to that.*

"Done! Buying it. Great pick."

"But—*please* try the others!" Ji Yueyi’s eyes burned with desperate hope.

Mu Yue Ran shook her head firmly. *Never again.*

"Stop fussing over me. I love this dress." She smirked, reaching out with a devilish grin. "Now—*your* turn to try things on."
