Even Xu Yingsnow herself felt awkward looking at Nainai, let alone the girl herself.

Forget about her measurements—the age alone was jarring every time Xu Yingsnow checked the file.

Forty-eight years old.

Xu Yingsnow couldn’t help but stare at tiny Nainai. Her appearance screamed freshly-minted elementary schooler.

Sure, the records said she’d been male before Corruption Essence transformed her—and at twenty-three, she’d been Xu Yingsnow’s age back then…

But twenty-five years had passed since she became a Succubus. Yet not a single wrinkle marked her face.

*Is this what being a Succubus means…? Subhumans really are incredible…*

"Hey. Your stare’s rude, you know." Nainai clapped sharply, frowning.

The crisp sound snapped Xu Yingsnow back to reality. Caught red-handed, her cheeks burned hotter.

"L-Let’s get to the point…" Desperate to escape the awkwardness, Xu Yingsnow flipped pages frantically. She skipped entire sections of matchmaking profiles and landed squarely on "Job Recommendations."

"Nainai… the Federal Subhuman Administration tailors work placements to help Subhumans find stable jobs. See here…"

Nainai was unemployed.

A welfare-dependent, free-housing-dwelling, ultimate couch potato.

For twenty years since the Subhuman Administration’s founding, unyielding Nainai had driven off three case officers. She was Ashi City’s East District Branch’s toughest nut to crack.

If Xu Yingsnow could convince her to work today? That’d be a career-making triumph!

Promotion. Raise. Lady Nishang would be proud!

"Work…"

At the word, Nainai’s eyes drooped instantly.

"Nainai doesn’t wanna work."

"Eh?! Don’t rush to say that! I haven’t even finished—" Xu Yingsnow nearly jumped out of her seat.

"No need, Snow-chan~" Nainai swayed, then flopped sideways onto the bed. Her pale fingers traced lazy circles on the rumpled sheets. Silence thickened the tiny room.

*Huuu—huuu—*

The ancient, wheezing air conditioner fought on, blowing cool air to soothe the tension.

"Why don’t you want to work?" Xu Yingsnow asked, genuinely puzzled.

With the Federation’s ultra-generous policies boosting population growth—any job would guarantee better housing and living standards than Nainai’s current setup.

She could easily rent an apartment triple this size. Buy a high-end gaming rig.

Not to mention replacing those… *questionable* collectibles she’d scrimped for.

"Is it about food? If you work, you’d earn enough to upgrade your living conditions. Plus, cooperating with case officers qualifies you for special allowances… You could even apply for exclusive access to the Federation’s yogurt reserves! Food wouldn’t be—"

"It’s NOT that!" Nainai exploded. Her tiny pink wings flared wide; her peach-colored tail whipped wildly, betraying her turmoil.

"Nainai isn’t some perverted Succubus with weird kinks! My food is *desire*! Male desire! And that freeze-dried yogurt? All donated or harvested from *work*. How much raw craving could it possibly hold? If I *had* to eat it… only fresh would do… mmph!"

She clapped a hand over her own mouth, cheeks flaming. Her lazy aura vanished, replaced by flustered indignation.

*Even a good-for-nothing has dignity…*

"Ahh…" Xu Yingsnow’s own face matched Nainai’s. At twenty-three, fresh out of college and never dated…

All she got here was talk of "male desire" and "fresh yogurt."

"So…" Her voice came out raspy. She cleared her throat twice. "If it’s not food… why won’t you work?"

Nainai patted her soft cheeks, twirling a stray lock of hair around her finger. Her violet eyes glimmered like starlight, unreadable.

After a long pause, she drawled, "Because it’s *lazy*~ Why hustle when free cash lets you eat, sleep, and wait for death? Bliss!"

"The Federation gives welfare and housing to unemployed Subhumans. Charities chip in too… If everyone worked, who’d enjoy these perks?"

"And Nainai simply can’t let that money go to waste!"

She declared this utterly shameless logic with chest-thumping confidence.

Xu Yingsnow gaped. *How thick must someone’s skin be to say this with a straight face…?*

"Besides…" Nainai’s peach-shadowed eyes dipped low. Her violet irises bloomed like a field of flowers, intoxicating. A sly smile curved her pink lips.

"When Nainai gets hungry…" Her voice melted like sweet cream, dripping over Xu Yingsnow’s heart. "The streets… are full of food, aren’t they?"

The sheer allure—even on another woman—was terrifying.

*No! Snap out of it!*

Xu Yingsnow shook her head violently, tearing herself from Nainai’s warm embrace.

*Too close!*

"Nainai! We agreed—you can’t use your Special Ability to stir my desires!" She slapped her burning cheeks, the sting clearing her daze as she shouted.

"Ehh~? Don’t blame Nainai, Snow-chan. I didn’t use *that*." Nainai pouted. "You’re just… too lewd."

She’d used pure charm—not some cheap power! This insulted her very essence!

*No Special Ability…*

The longer Xu Yingsnow stayed, the more her sexuality felt under siege by this tiny demon.

Nainai might not mean to—but her mere presence magnetized every gaze.

Truth was, laziness and rottenness were only part of why she refused work. Her overwhelming allure was the real cage.

Imagine: even while working, she’d endure filthy stares and vulgar thoughts. No one could focus. Relationships would twist into lust. Everyone—men and women alike—saw only one goal: *to have her*.

*Disgusting eyes everywhere…*

Years ago, newly turned Subhuman Nainai had tried. But back then, she couldn’t control her instincts. Her Special Ability hadn’t awakened to suppress others’ desires. She’d choked on the groping hands, slimy words, and leering eyes.

Then came the rampant discrimination against Subhumans. Her workplace became hell. The stress triggered her Ability’s violent awakening—a traumatic incident that scarred her deeply.

Since then, Nainai chose rotting indoors as a shut-in NEET. Only leaving to hunt.

That way, she’d endure those vile stares for mere minutes during feeding. The rest of her life? Peace.

After another verbal tug-of-war, Nainai flatly refused Xu Yingsnow’s job proposal.

Defeated, Xu Yingsnow trudged out like a scolded duckling.

"Nainai… be careful. Something’s wrong in Ashi City’s East District. It’s unstable lately. Just… stay safe."

Even after failing again, she shared this insider warning—known only to the Subhuman Administration and Scavenger Squad.

Nainai stared at the old iron door clicking shut behind her.

*She still worries about me… even after I disappointed her again.*

Frustrated, she nibbled her smooth, peach-colored tail-tip. Wriggling like a dropped caterpillar in the messy sheets, she thought:

*I won’t budge on working. But the real reason…*

*Yeah. I’m just a rotten person. A hopeless, good-for-nothing bastard.*

Silence swallowed the room again. Only Nainai, and her wheezing air conditioner buddy.

Cool breeze made the girl curl tighter. Her tiny wings fluttered open—trembling slightly.
