"Love at first sight."

Qin Yi explained with a straight face.

"Pfft~" Tian Deming snorted, but Fang Qijun’s sharp glare shut him up instantly.

"Is Lin Jin really that beautiful now?" Fang Qijun scrutinized every subtle shift on her grandson’s face.

"Extremely. You can see for yourself."

Qin Yi stayed unflappable.

"Do you think I’d believe that?"

"No." Qin Yi knew Grandma wouldn’t buy his flimsy excuse. He might as well be shameless: "But that’s my reason."

"Hmph. Think I can’t guess just ’cause you won’t talk?" Fang Qijun wiped the table, voice light. "You little rascal—must’ve done something indecent to Lin Jin. Feeling guilty, that’s why you’re so set on her."

As she spoke, she covertly watched his face.

His eyes flickered slightly. Her guess was at least partly right.

Qin Yi stayed silent. With Grandma, talking more only made things worse.

"Indecent things?" Fang Qijun had already headed to the kitchen to wash dishes, leaving Tian Deming utterly dumbfounded.

"You little brat! Did you really do something filthy to that girl? She’s only seventeen! Can you take responsibility?" Tian Deming, convinced by his wife, jumped up to scold his grandson.

"..." Qin Yi felt a headache coming on.

No wonder Grandpa was always completely under Grandma’s thumb.

"I didn’t do anything dirty."

Qin Yi recalled that morning’s steamy scene. She’d initiated it, climbing on him—it wasn’t his fault.

"Even if I did, I can take responsibility."

"Hey! You little rascal! Planning something heinous? Did Grandma’s teachings on morality mean nothing?"

"That’s enough, Deming." Fang Qijun’s voice drifted from the kitchen. "As his grandpa, you know Xiao Yi’s character. I reckon he just accidentally saw the girl naked. Young and impulsive, he wants to do right by her."

Qin Yi’s eyelid twitched slightly.

Grandma, your people-reading skills are uncanny...

That morning, intimate contact with the naked girl—her innocent naivety and innate allure—had stirred his heart for the first time.

Since then, whenever he saw this little cat-eared girl, his heart couldn’t stay calm.

As for Lin Jin having been a boy, he didn’t mind—but it wasn’t a bonus.

The real bonus was their incredibly close bond.

A heart-fluttering girl who fell from the sky, plus the childhood friend aura—if he could stay unmoved, he should visit Brother Jianwen for a men’s health checkup.
