“What’s wrong?” Lin Hanzhang raised an eyebrow.

“I…” Lin Jin hesitated. “Can I go out looking like this?”

“Why not?” Lin’s mother shot back.

“Mom, I have cat ears and a cat tail…” Lin Jin whispered softly.

“So what? Everyone’s got two arms and two legs. My daughter’s gorgeous—why hide her?” Lin’s mother snapped, her voice rising sharply.

Lin Jin reminded her quietly, “I’m your son, though…”

“Son?” Lin’s mother froze.

“Do you even have a dick?”

“I… don’t now. But I used to.”

“Well then, you’re a girl now. Stop fussing. Let’s go. Oh, and Qin Yi, you come too. You’ve been such a help caring for Lin Jin lately—Auntie owes you big time.”

“It would be rude to refuse,” Qin Yi nodded.

“Nyah nyah~”

Lin Jin secretly stuck out her little pink tongue at her childhood friend. Show-off, acting all cultured.

After some quick tidying, Lin Jin slipped into a chestnut-colored dress that perfectly hid her cat tail. Lin’s mother trimmed her waist-length hair into matching shoulder-length cuts, tying it into a single ponytail. With her adorable cat ears twitching now and then, she looked pure yet playful.

*This* is what a true catgirl wife should be… Qin Yi nodded thoughtfully.

The trio—well, two humans and one catgirl—stepped out of the hotel.

On the street, their odd group drew every eye. Heads turned at nearly a hundred percent rate.

Lin’s mother, of course, was a stunning sight anywhere—her sharp beauty and mature curves a walking masterpiece.

90 points!

The little cat-eared girl outshone her. Though her figure was still youthful, her flawless face closed the gap easily.

90 points!

As for Qin Yi trailing behind them…

the crowd had already chosen to ignore him completely.

“This place’ll do,” Lin’s mother said, picking a decent-looking restaurant. She pushed inside.

After ordering, they sat at a random table.

“This afternoon, you’re coming back to town with me. We’ll get you registered and an ID.”

“Mm.” Lin Jin nodded obediently, her cat ears twitching almost imperceptibly.

In the kitchen:

“Hey, see that woman over there?”

“The one with the cat ear clip?”

“No, the older one.”

“Yeah.”

“Her chest is legit huge.”

“Right? If only I could…”

“Tsk tsk. In ancient times, marrying those two sisters would’ve made my life complete. Total perfection.”

“What’re you two muttering about?” A middle-aged woman in an apron strode in, tray in hand.

“Sis, just telling my brother-in-law a joke!” one man blurted.

“Oh, yeah, totally!” the other chimed in.

“Really?” She set the tray down, cold glint in her eyes. “I’d say you’re just drooling over those pretty girls.”
