Li Shishi was absolutely doing this on purpose—Li Mo didn’t need to think twice about what scheme she was cooking up.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t let her have her way. Right now, he was in full allergic-reaction mode toward Tang Zhe. So!
Time to bounce.
“Whoa, where the hell are you going?”
“Back to class to nap!”
“Then I’m coming too!”
*Darn it.* He’d known this would happen. Sorry, bro!
“Don’t blame me for being ruthless then!”
Li Mo’s expression shifted instantly. He spun around, shoved Tang Zhe with both hands. Though his strength was negligible to Tang Zhe, the sudden move caught him off guard. Tang Zhe stumbled backward.
Just as Li Shishi finished playing dumb, she saw Tang Zhe stumble out. Her composure nearly cracked.
*What is that brat up to?!*
“Yes, him! Hurry up—we’re just waiting for you.”
The PE teacher recognized him. This was the high-jump guy. Tang Zhe was trapped.
*Phew…*
Li Mo exhaled in relief. Tang Zhe was taking the jump, and since it wasn’t their grade’s PE teacher, no one would realize *she* was Li Mo. But she definitely couldn’t stay.
Worse, she couldn’t return to class now. Tang Zhe might storm in mid-nap and yank her up by the collar.
Thankfully, besides the classroom, there was one other spot.
The library. Quiet. Empty.
Frankly, it was a shame—a decent high school like this, yet the library was always deserted. Only during scheduled reading classes would students trickle in. The librarian had it way too easy.
Most importantly: perfect for napping.
Alas, dreams were lush, but reality loved slapping you awake.
She’d reached the library, only to find the doors locked tight.
*Back to class it is…*
There *were* seats outside the library, but…
*Whoosh—*
A cold gust swept past, making Li Mo shiver violently.
*Damn luck!*
…
…
Though someone had it worse.
Tang Zhe was dragged to the podium by the teacher. Running now was impossible. If he’d just claimed Li Mo was absent earlier, it’d be fine—but bolting mid-ceremony? That’d scream bad attitude. No excuses. Investigations would follow.
He forced a stiff, awkward grin the whole time, listening to the broadcast call “Li Mo’s” name while *he* received the award. The dissonance crawled under his skin.
Luckily, the podium stood deep inside the sports field. Crowds buzzed around competitions or strolled in giggling clusters. Few noticed the ceremony. By the end, no incidents.
*Phew…*
Scared the hell out of him. Nothing happened. Guess he’d overthought it.
But that troublemaking brat needed a lesson! Clearly, it’d been too long since he’d felt Tang Zhe’s fist.
Award certificate and medal clutched carelessly in hand, Tang Zhe stormed toward the classroom—just as Li Mo predicted—recalling his “going back to sleep” excuse.
*That little fox is slippery. He probably switched spots after hearing me.*
Still, he headed to the classroom first. And luck was on his side.
There he was. Li Mo.
Arms tucked under his head, cheek pressed to the desk, eyes closed, breathing soft and even.
*Sound asleep after screwing me over?!*
Rage surged. Blood rushed to Tang Zhe’s head. He lunged forward, hand outstretched to grab Li Mo’s collar and haul him up—
*Exactly as Li Mo predicted.*
But the future could change!
The variable? That idiot’s sleeping face.
“…Tch.”
*That sleeping expression…*
*So damn cute. Clearly dreaming sweet dreams!*
*Wait—why’s HE getting sweet dreams while I suffer?! Bastard, wake up—*
“Mmmph… mmmph…”
*Adorable!*
*No. Stop it!*
To Tang Zhe, Li Mo was like a walking charm effect—so potent he’d forget the kid was *male* and still get drawn in by that face.
He shook his head hard, banishing the filthy thoughts. His gaze hardened. For the third time, his hands reached out with dark intent.
“NO!”
*What the—?!*
Li Mo suddenly yelped—a high-pitched, girlish cry utterly unlike his usual low voice. It startled Tang Zhe… and weirdly, he *liked* the sound.
*Guys can’t naturally make noises like that!*
*New mission: confirm his gender!*
But… was this really okay?
Li Mo had shed his uniform jacket, using it as a blanket. Only a thin shirt covered his torso. At their age, even the flattest chest would show curves under thin fabric. The kid always dressed like a wrapped dumpling—this chance was too rare to pass up.
*No touching. Just looking. It’s fine.*
Heart pounding, Tang Zhe convinced himself. For the truth, he’d do this shameful thing.
Just as he crouched down…
“N-no… not there!”
*???*
*Awake?!*
*But I haven’t done anything yet!*
Sweat beading, Tang Zhe looked up. Li Mo hadn’t woken. He’d just shifted slightly, smacking his lips with a dopey, drooling grin.
*Why say something like THAT while looking like THAT?!*
*What kind of messed-up dream is he having?!*
*Whatever. Just sleep-talking. Focus.*
“Tang Zhe… I trusted you as a brother… how could you…”
*Tang Zhe?!*
*Huh?! Why am I in his weird-ass dream?!*
*How could I WHAT?! Finish the sentence!*
*What depraved, beastly thing did Dream-Me do to make him moan like that?!*
“Mmmph… mmmph…”
*Why’d you stop?!*
*Screw it! Ignoring everything this time!*
Fuming, Tang Zhe blocked out the world. He crouched lower, head dipping toward Li Mo’s chest half-hidden under the jacket.
“I SAID NOT THERE!”
Suddenly—chaos.
Li Mo jolted violently. His body swung upward like a pendulum. Poor Tang Zhe, still blinking, took the full impact square in the face.
***THUD!***
***“AAAAH—”***
Darkness swallowed him. The last thing he saw was a steel plate larger than his face rocketing toward him.
*So… painful…*
*So… hard…*
