Let’s skip over the two hours Lin Feng spent in the bathroom, and skip over how cruelly Lin Ning made the sick kid scrub the sofa.

Anyway, just as Lin Feng was still wiping tears, slowly cleaning the sofa with a little brush, Su Qing walked out of her room.

“Just take some medicine, okay~?”

Su Qing tossed a box of anti-diarrhea pills into Lin Feng’s hands and turned back to her room.

Lin Feng looked at the pills with tears welling in his eyes, feeling like Su Qing was an angel in his life.

“Finally, someone in this house cares about me~.”

Tears streaming down his face, Lin Feng returned to the bathroom and sat down.

*Ding~ clang~ splash~*

…………

……

“How come Xiao Qing’s so kind to give that kid medicine?” Su Shui watched his suddenly generous sister.

“What’s wrong? Jealous?” Su Qing pinched Su Shui’s cheeks, pouting. “I wanted to use the toilet, but the stench drove me out…”

“Hmph~.”

The siblings were still being clingy when Lin Ning pushed the door open and walked in.

Su Shui panicked and covered Su Qing’s mouth. She pinched his waist and twisted hard.

“Ahhh!”

Tears sprang from Su Shui’s eyes from the pain. Su Qing shoved him aside.

“So, it’s the divorced Sister Ning~?” Su Qing stood on the bed, looking down at Lin Ning.

Lin Ning yanked the bedsheet. Su Qing tumbled onto the mattress.

She’d planned to show off her perfect balance, but seeing Su Shui lying limp like a beached fish, she deliberately “fell” onto him.

“Oops!”

She landed precisely in Su Shui’s arms, then clung to him like an octopus.

“Geez~ you scared me~,” she muttered, burrowing deeper into his chest.

Lin Ning stood aside, fuming.

“You’re so full of yourself!” she yelled, lunging onto the bed. She pinned Su Shui’s head with one hand and tried to shove Su Qing away with the other.

“Don’t even dream about it!” Su Qing shouted back. “I won’t give up!”

The two locked in a stalemate on the bed, neither gaining ground.

Poor Su Shui, trapped in the middle, turned deep purple from lack of air.

*In manga, I should be enjoying some “face cream” right now!* he thought, his vision blurring.

*No! I can’t die here!* His survival instinct kicked in—he bit down hard on Lin Ning’s arm.

“Yowch!”

Lin Ning yelped and released his head. Su Shui gasped for breath.

Glancing at the chests beside him, he sighed.

“Guess this isn’t a harem setup~ too barren!”

“Who are you calling barren?!” Lin Ning and Su Qing shouted in unison.

“Hmph, Xiao Qing, know your limits~,” Lin Ning said proudly, puffing out her modest chest.

Staring at Lin Ning’s curves, Su Qing dejectedly touched her own flat chest.

“It’s fine… I’m still growing! It’ll get bigger…” Her eyes went hollow as she looked at Su Shui. “Right, brother? I’ll grow, won’t I~?”

What could Su Shui say? He just curled up in the corner with a small blanket, nodding silently.

“Probably… maybe~.”

…………

……

Night deepened—the hour when good kids and bad kids alike should be asleep.

Lin Feng, dosed with laxatives and wearing a diaper, was already dreaming. But in the master bedroom, battle still raged.

Lin Ning and Su Qing stood by the bed in pajamas.

Lin Ning had planned to grab one of Su Shui’s oversized tees like usual.

But when Su Qing entered with twin tails and a flimsy nightie, she knew: this was war.

“Oh, Xiao Qing, that’s so thin~ might as well be naked! A young lady should be careful. Here, wear this~,” Lin Ning said sweetly, pinching Su Qing’s fabric and handing her a tattered army coat.

Su Shui recognized it—the same unwashed coat that had survived half a winter.

Su Qing took the coat and shoved it onto Lin Ning.

“You’re the one without pajamas~ you wear it!”

“No, no, you’re the younger sister. Don’t catch a chill—put it on!”

Su Shui glanced at the thermometer. *It’s peak summer with the AC at 19°C, and you’re worried about chills?!*

“No way, my brother’s here~ you take it!”

“It’s fine—he’s my husband. We’ve done everything anyway…”

“But you’re divorced! Value yourself. You wear it, Sister Ning~.”

Finally, hit by the divorce critical strike, Lin Ning surrendered.

The endlessly passed-around army coat found its owner.

Lin Ning knelt on the floor, wounded, draped in the ragged coat.

Even Su Qing felt a pang of guilt watching her. Su Shui, spectating from the sidelines, couldn’t take it.

“Wife~!” he chirped, rushing over and tossing the coat aside.

“Su Shui~!”

Lin Ning threw herself into his arms and refused to budge.

She greedily soaked in his warmth, already regretting not saying yes at the amusement park.

At first, Su Qing thought she’d struck a nerve and stood guiltily aside.

But after minutes of loud sobbing without a single tear, Lin Ning caught Su Qing’s eye—and burst out laughing.

“Seriously?! You were acting?!” Su Qing pointed, too furious to speak.

“Tch~.”

“You ‘tch’?!”

Su Qing tried to yank Lin Ning off Su Shui, but he resisted first.

“Xiao Qing, no~!”

“What, you love holding her that much?!”

Watching this scheming pair, Su Qing trembled with rage.

“Well… not really~,” Su Shui mumbled. The words barely left his mouth before a fist slammed into his stomach.

“If you don’t want to hold me, let go!”

Lin Ning wrenched free, pouting as she sat on the bed.

Su Shui curled up on the floor like a big worm.

“Get up! What are you doing sitting there?”

Su Qing tried to pull him up, but he stayed glued to the floor.

“Think that’ll stop me?!”

Teaming up with Lin Ning, she and Su Qing dragged Su Shui upright, one on each side.

“Stand straight!” Lin Ning slapped his lower back.

Su Shui jolted upright.

The silence stretched, thick and awkward. Finally, Su Qing’s face flushed red. She kicked Su Shui square in the groin.

“Pervert! Big pervert!”

Then she buried herself under the blanket like an ostrich, refusing to come out no matter how they called.

Su Shui, struck down, lay unconscious on the floor, foaming at the mouth.
