"Seriously!"
Lin Ning sat in the amusement park office, staring at the surveillance monitor. On screen, brother and sister walked hand in hand out of the alley.
The pen she’d been fiddling with lay disassembled on her desk. The park manager stood bent over nearby, not daring to breathe.
"Go tell Da Zhang and his men to stand down!"
Lin Ning ordered the butler behind her. He bowed and backed out slowly.
"Seriously, this troublesome sister-in-law!"
Lin Ning clenched her teeth tightly. The monitor froze on Su Shui and Su Qing kissing.
"Hmph!"
She spun around and strode out.
"Young Miss, are you leaving already—"
*Slam!*
The office door crashed shut. Lin Ning muttered softly to herself, "If I don’t go now, that bastard Su Shui really will be snatched away!"
...
Su Qing and Su Shui sat on a bench, watching the carousel ahead.
"Brother, let’s ride that!"
Su Qing grabbed Su Shui’s hand and tugged hard.
"Seriously, how old are you? Such a childish ride~"
Su Shui complained but obediently followed his sister toward the carousel.
"Let’s share one horse~"
Su Qing hopped excitedly, picking a pure white stallion.
"This one! You sit in front, Brother!"
"No way~"
Su Shui didn’t want to, but couldn’t resist his sister’s pleading gaze.
"Fine, fine, I’ll sit~"
"Good! You take the front!"
She pushed Su Shui forward and sat behind him, arms locked tightly around his waist.
The carousel started slowly. Su Qing rested her head on Su Shui’s back.
"Brother, doesn’t this feel like a prince eloping with his princess?" she whispered in his ear, then planted a soft *mwah* kiss on his cheek.
Su Shui touched the spot, grinning foolishly.
"How’s that like eloping? No one escapes on a cheap plastic horse~"
Just as Su Shui gloated, a voice beside him asked:
"So what kind of horse *should* you ride?"
Hearing it, Su Shui froze.
He turned his head inch by inch. Lin Ning rode a black horse, now beside them.
"W-Wife~" Su Shui stammered, praying she hadn’t seen the kiss.
"So, how did your sister’s kiss feel?"
Lin Ning glared, itching to kick him off.
"Wife, let me explain, this—"
"Fine! Come here, and I’ll give you a chance!"
Lin Ning patted the space before her. Su Shui glanced back. Su Qing clung to his waist, acting oblivious.
"Uh... Xiao Qing~" Su Shui patted her hands. "Give me a shot at survival, okay?"
Su Qing looked up. "I don’t know if you’ll survive the past, but I know you won’t survive stepping down!"
Trapped between the two horses, Su Shui had no choice.
Gritting his teeth, he flopped onto the horses’ necks, arms wrapped around both.
"I won’t choose—you two decide!"
He shut his eyes and played dead.
"Sister, just give me back my husband~"
Lin Ning reached to pull Su Shui onto her horse. Su Qing grabbed his other arm.
"Ning Jiejie, Brother and I haven’t finished talking. We’ll never finish—just give him to me~"
They tugged fiercely at Su Shui’s arms.
"Xiao Qing, he’s your brother. You’ll marry someday. Give him to me~"
"No problem. I’ll marry Brother~ You two are divorced anyway~"
Lin Ning’s face paled.
"How did you—" She recalled Su Shui blurting it out earlier. "*Damn*, that loose-lipped Su Shui!"
Muttering under her breath, Lin Ning forced a smile.
"So, Xiao Qing, what’ll it take to keep our secret~"
"Hmm~" Su Qing feigned deep thought. "Let me move in. We’ll compete fairly this time!"
"Fine!" Lin Ning hissed through clenched teeth.
"Deal?" Su Qing held out her hand.
"Deal!" Lin Ning slapped it hard.
Just as they shook hands, the carousel jolted to a stop.
Su Shui flew off, landing face-first with a yelp.
An attendant rushed from the booth, hands on hips.
"Is this how you ride?! So dangerous—you’re not kids anymore!"
Guilty, the trio bowed their heads, listening quietly.
"Go! Be careful next time!"
"Got it, got it! We promise!"
Su Shui patted his chest, then dragged the others away.
...
Sandwiched between Lin Ning and Su Qing, Su Shui sat on a bench under the night sky.
Clouds had vanished, revealing a starry expanse.
Lin Ning and Su Qing leaned their heads on his shoulders.
Su Shui smiled helplessly yet happily at these two demanding women.
Just as the mood warmed, Lin Ning’s phone beeped.
*Beep beep beep.*
Su Qing glared. Lin Ning hurriedly answered.
"Hello? What’s wrong, Xiao Feng?"
"Sis~" Lin Feng’s weak voice came through. "I’m not gonna make it!"
"Hold on! I’m coming!"
Lin Ning sprang up, dragging Su Qing and Su Shui toward the road.
"What happened?" Su Shui asked, worried by her panic.
"I don’t know, but Xiao Feng’s in trouble!"
They sprinted to the roadside.
A business van replaced the red sports car. The driver opened the doors.
Lin Ning dove into the driver’s seat and floored the gas.
The van shot off, leaving the driver choking on exhaust.
"Young Miss, don’t leave me behind!"
