"Ah~ Brother, try this~"

Su Qing hugged the giant plush toy happily, refusing to let go.

Su Shui had barely finished leaning against a tree to vomit before hunger struck again. Now Su Qing was holding an armful of snacks, insisting on feeding him bite by bite.

"Qing-er, isn’t that thing heavy to carry? Let me have someone take it to the car~" Lin Ning reached out kindly to take the plush toy.

"No!" Su Qing twisted away, shaking off Lin Ning’s hand. "Brother gave this to me~"

Watching Su Qing cling to the toy like a treasure, Lin Ning itched to snatch the eyesore away—stomp it underfoot, punch it, slash it with a knife, set it on fire…

*No. Be elegant.* She reminded herself while glaring at Su Qing, who seemed fused to the plush. *Damn you, Su Shui. You’ll pay for this at home.*

"Just put it in the car. How can you enjoy the rides hugging that thing?" Lin Ning suggested sweetly, already signaling someone to take the toy away.

"Well…" Su Qing reluctantly watched it being carried off, following anxiously. "Be careful with it~"

The moment Su Qing left with the toy, Lin Ning slid beside Su Shui.

"Still hungry?"

"Starving!"

She thrust a jianbing toward his mouth. "Eat yourself sick then!"

*Gurgle!* The smell hit Su Shui like a punch. He scrambled back, eyes wide with terror at the jianbing in her hand.

"W-w-wifey! I swear I’ll never touch that stuff again in my life!"

"Hmph~"

"What’s wrong? Mad I didn’t get you a plush?"

Su Shui spotted her sour mood instantly. Sneakily, he pulled a small rose from behind his back.

"Look what I’ve got~" He presented it like a treasure. She took the stem, twirling the bloom slowly.

"At least you’ve got some conscience~"

A smile finally broke through. She tucked the rose carefully into the corner of her bag.

Su Shui wiped cold sweat from his brow. *Thank the gardener for planting roses here…* He’d plucked it from a nearby bush just in time. One wrong move, and he’d be sleeping on the keyboard again.

"Oh, take this." Lin Ning shoved her tiny wallet into his hands.

"Why my wallet? Pocket money?" Su Shui stared, stunned. The bag was printed with an adorable cartoon tiger—a gift from him long ago. Despite the years, it remained spotless and unworn.

Since Lin Ning managed all household funds, he nearly choked seeing the thick stack of bills inside.

"T-this is too much! I’ll lose it. You keep it—" He tried shoving it back like a hot coal.

"You’re hopeless," Lin Ning sighed. "You’re paying today. Don’t pull out empty pockets cleaner than your face."

"O-okay…" Su Shui kept one hand clamped over his pocket, terrified.

Watching her husband’s pathetic act, Lin Ning snorted in exasperation.

"Seriously? Scared to hold money? Just stuff it in your pocket!"

She slapped his back. His hunched shoulders snapped straight instantly.

Su Qing bounced back, a fresh rose clutched in her hand.

Su Shui’s soul nearly fled his body. He lunged forward, blocking the flower with his own body.

"Haha! Back so soon, Qing? Come, let’s buy tickets!" He snatched the rose and dragged her toward the ticket booth.

Bewildered, Su Qing trailed after him in line.

"What’s wrong, Ge?"

"Where’d you get this flower? It’s so fresh." He fiddled with it—his own stolen bloom was already wilting.

"Not picked! Won it at that shooting game stall over there!" She pointed. Su Shui froze. *All that panic for nothing!*

Might as well buy tickets now that they were here. He glanced up—and froze again. The sign read: **ROLLER COASTER TICKETS**.

"…Can we pick something else?" he squeaked. In his panic, he’d blindly followed the crowd without checking.

Just watching the coaster’s loops, drops, and breakneck speed from the ground made his knees buckle.

"Impossible! A roller coaster is essential for any amusement park!" Su Qing gazed up, starry-eyed.

"I’m too old for this… I’d like to live a few more years…" Su Shui clung to her arm like a timid wife, swaying gently.

"Too late! You’re riding today—willing or not!" Su Qing shook him off. "Three tickets!"

Su Shui trudged back, clutching the tickets. He almost "accidentally" tore them. But seeing Su Qing’s radiant, expectant face as she hugged her bag, he knew losing the tickets might mean *he’d* be lost next.

*Sigh.* "Guess I’ll sacrifice myself for my sister…"

"Here! Roller coaster tickets!" Su Qing beamed, handing them to Lin Ning.

"T-this is too intense…" Lin Ning’s butt glued itself to the bench.

"You… scared?" Su Qing raised an eyebrow.

Stung by the challenge, Lin Ning shot up. "Who’s scared?! I’m worried about Su Shui!"

"Then let’s go?"

"Go!"

Lin Ning gritted her teeth, following Su Qing toward the coaster.

"Wait—who sits where?" Lin Ning suddenly remembered.

"Perfect! You two ride together. I’ll guard the bags~" Su Shui plopped onto the bench, hugging the small bag like an obedient child.

"No, no—I’ll watch the bags. You ride with Qing!" Lin Ning squeezed beside him, both hands grabbing for the bag.

"Must you do this? Can’t you just let me escape~?" Su Shui hissed.

"You *will* ride with your sister. Have fun!" Lin Ning refused to yield.

"Woman, you’re playing with fire!" Su Shui growled. "Fine—we go down together!"

"Try me!" Lin Ning held her ground.

"Qing, let’s go. You two sit together—I’ll take the back!" Su Shui yanked Lin Ning up, marching toward the coaster with the grim resolve of a martyr.
