Chapter 19: The Sacred Maiden's Awakenin
update icon Updated at 2025/12/18 18:00:01

"No! Zhang Dajian’s life force is fading fast!" Lin Luo’s heart clenched. Though Zhang had bullied him before, it was mostly teasing. The guy was a thug who robbed travelers outside, yet deep down, he wasn’t truly evil.

But Lin Luo found himself powerless.

He possessed the strength of a God Emperor, mastering countless spells, martial arts, and secret techniques—all for combat. Healing magic? He didn’t know the slightest bit. His spatial ring hung around his neck, packed with unimaginable treasures and weapons, yet not a single healing item or potion.

Because he’d never needed any.

"Bro, hang in there!" Zhang Jie rushed forward to prop him up, but Zhang Dajian was already losing consciousness from the rapid blood loss.

The girls stood frozen, utterly helpless. None had ever learned first aid.

Lin Yuxun stood motionless, staring at Zhang Dajian lying in a pool of blood.

Could it be true? Would one of their classmates actually die in this other world? Yuxun still couldn’t believe it. And the first to fall… was Zhang Dajian, one of the strongest in their class?

She was stunned.

Back at school, Zhang Dajian had always caused her trouble—disrupting study hall, smoking, fighting, challenging her authority, even scaring her.

Yet Lin Yuxun never hated anyone in class. Even when treated harshly, she’d only felt wronged. She cherished being seen as a gentle, kind-hearted girl—it was her joy.

She lived for the way others looked at her like a Holy Maiden. It gave her life meaning.

"Gods… gods of this world, if you can hear me…" In that moment, Yuxun placed her last hope in the divine. She prayed with unprecedented sincerity, closing her eyes. Her face glowed with delicate, sacred beauty.

Lin Luo watched helplessly. *Praying to gods now?* He came from the universe’s deepest void—gods didn’t exist!

Then, Lin Yuxun’s thin dress and hair began floating as if stirred by an unseen wind.

"Huh?" Lin Luo froze.

In the darkness of Yuxun’s mind…

A hazy, ethereal light emerged. A goddess materialized—tall and flawless, draped in a low-cut white gown, golden hair cascading down her back. Her breasts were full, her skin porcelain-pale, waist slender, hips wide and rounded, legs long and shapely.

"Who… who are you? Are you a god? You truly heard my call?"

The goddess’s face radiated sacred beauty—a purity that stirred a primal urge to dominate. Her gaze was tender yet profound. "Child, I am the Goddess of Light. Will you devote your faith, love, and devotion to me? Surrender all, and you shall receive divine grace. You will gain the power… to save lives."

*Save lives?*

Lin Yuxun didn’t hesitate. From secretly playing holy maiden games alone in her room, weeping over tragic endings, to calling out desperately in this new world—she’d waited for this moment her whole life.

"I… I will," Lin Yuxun answered without pause.

"What a good child," the Goddess of Light murmured, her glow softening. A faint smile touched her lips. "Then, the pact is sealed."

She extended an arm smooth as jade, her long finger touching Lin Yuxun’s chest.

A speck of spiritual light sank from Yuxun’s chest into her lower abdomen, near the dantian.

In the pitch-black void of her consciousness, a single, sorrowfully beautiful spark ignited.

"Yuxun?"

"Class rep?"

Lin Yuxun’s body levitated. Her expression glowed with pure innocence, a soft halo shimmering around her. Twinkling stardust swirled in the air.

An indescribable sacred power radiated from within her.

Lin Yuxun opened her eyes. Her mysterious violet pupils now perceived hidden layers of the world.

Lin Luo stared, astonished. Having stood at the peak of Star Island Sea since arrival—and walking a cultivation path straight to the Primordial Source of the Universe—he knew little of how ordinary people trained here. He recalled whispers from the Primordial Source: mortals needed awakening to walk the path of strength.

*Could gods truly exist?*

*Did this deity just awaken Yuxun?*

Lin Luo was baffled.

"Yuxun? What’s wrong?" Han Lianfei rushed forward, worried.

Lin Yuxun gently floated down and pushed Feier aside. She knew what she must do.

Kneeling beside Zhang Dajian, she placed her pale hand over his gruesome wound, closed her eyes, and chanted softly.

Ancient, glowing runes materialized around her, swirling with mystical energy.

Warm, gentle white light poured from her palm.

Where it touched, Zhang Dajian’s wounds knit together visibly. Even the bloodless pallor of his lips began returning to life.

Lin Luo sensed Zhang Dajian’s vitality surging back.

Simultaneously, a faint, newborn ripple of Spirit Energy emanated from Yuxun’s body.

*Spark Level One? Her profession… must be Holy Maiden.* Lin Luo watched the sacred, beautiful girl. *So Yuxun truly awakened—on our very first day in Star Island Sea.*
