Su Liu wore the school uniform with its distinctive insignia. Her elegant, understated appearance—paired with delicate makeup and a tall frame—naturally drew attention.

Perhaps the original owner of this body had longed to witness this scene countless times.

But to Hu Ming, Su Liu was simply too much trouble.

Honestly, if not for his predecessor’s unique status, he wouldn’t want to stand out so much at school.

Now that he finally had a chance to shed one burden, why not take it?

Hearing Hu Ming’s words, Su Liu’s eyes instantly reddened.

No matter how many times she’d steeled herself, his cold gaze still cut deep.

Hu Ming turned to leave—but Su Liu blocked his path first.

"Hu Ming, we need to clear some things up!"

"Weren’t my words clear enough that day? Did you fail reading comprehension?"

"Why did you delete me?!" Su Liu spread her arms, barring his escape. "Aren’t we friends? Is deleting me over something so trivial really necessary?!"

Hu Ming couldn’t help but laugh bitterly at that.

*She’d been treating the original owner like a pet fish, and now she’s accusing me of being heartless? This girl really has no self-awareness.*

Standing nearby, Ye Qiuxue’s expression flickered with shock.

She’d thought Hu Ming’s threat to delete Su Liu was just anger talking. Yet he’d actually done it—and showed no intention of adding her back.

"Su Liu, do you really take people for fools?" Hu Ming took a deep breath, tired of this cycle. "Why persist in something with no future? I even think the time I wasted on you could’ve yielded results elsewhere. Last time I’ll say this: I’m no longer pursuing you. I refuse to chase dead ends. From now on, we’re strangers. No further contact. Understood?"

"No! I don’t understand! And who says there’s no future? I refuse to be strangers with you!"

Tears streamed down Su Liu’s face like rain on pear blossoms, making onlookers ache for her.

They also couldn’t help but admire Hu Ming’s decisiveness—cutting ties so cleanly.

"Are the two of you deliberately ignoring me?"

A cool voice cut through the tension. Only then did the crowd notice the hidden figure among them.

Though everyone had been fixated on Hu Ming and Su Liu, this girl was no one to trifle with.

The Student Council President—hailed as the most capable since the school’s founding.

Arms crossed, Ye Qiuxue stared at them icily.

"While the school turns a blind eye to dating... flaunting it publicly is a blatant disregard for the Student Council’s authority."

She slowly pulled out an armband, waving it before them. The bold characters "Fengji" (Discipline) glared accusingly.

The crowd finally grasped Su Liu’s blunder.

*She’d messed with the wrong person.*

Ye Qiuxue tucked the armband away, unfazed by Su Liu’s ashen face.

"Su Liu, I don’t know your history. But violating discipline? Stop it. Unless you’re thick-skinned enough to endure daily penalties like Hu Ming here."

Hu Ming flinched inwardly. *Why drag me into this again?*

Su Liu’s knuckles whitened. She glared at Ye Qiuxue, hatred burning in her chest.

*Why is Hu Ming approaching this woman? Didn’t he say he hated her before?*

Her emotions surged—until she caught Hu Ming’s amused gaze.

He was smiling wryly at Ye Qiuxue.

With *affection* in his eyes.

*That look was supposed to be mine!*

Tears spilled over. Shame and regret flooded her heart.

No one noticed her shattered expression.

As the crowd thickened, Ye Qiuxue shooed them away. "Disperse. This isn’t a spectacle."

But amid the scattering students, her eyes locked onto a girl in an entirely different outfit—a maid uniform. The petite figure approached, face utterly expressionless.

Suddenly, a roar and a scream erupted behind her.

Ye Qiuxue spun around. Hu Ming staggered backward, clutching his cheek.

Before him stood a furious boy, fists clenched, glaring daggers.

Su Liu stared at Hu Ming’s injury, stunned. Then she whirled on the attacker.

"Sun Zhe! What are you doing?! Why hit Hu Ming?!"

"Han Huming bullied you! He’s got no right! He’s just a bastard who doesn’t even know his own parents!"

Sun Zhe’s reason had drowned in rage.

Another of Su Liu’s suitors—he couldn’t stomach Hu Ming’s treatment of her.

*She could do no wrong; Hu Ming had no right to reject her.*

This kind of doormat was far more extreme than the original owner.

Of course, Su Liu dismissed him for one simple reason: he had no money.

Ye Qiuxue’s face darkened.

A fight erupting under her watch was inexcusable.

She hadn’t expected such extremism—for a girl.

"Assaulting others *and* slandering classmates? Students like you are this school’s true shame!"

She reached for her phone to call security—but a figure darted past her first.

Hu Ming pressed a hand to his stinging cheek, eyes narrowed.

*Was taking that punch worth it?*

Before he could decide, the maid-uniformed girl moved.

She closed the distance to Sun Zhe in a flash. As he hesitated at her sudden approach, her fist drove into his stomach.

Sun Zhe’s eyes bulged. He crumpled, gasping.

She didn’t stop.

With shocking strength, the petite girl seized his arm and collar, slamming him face-first onto the ground.

Dead silence fell.

An unexpected player had crashed the drama.

Hu Ming’s jaw dropped, the faint sting on his cheek forgotten.

*Wasn’t that... my maid?!*
