"Tilisha?"
A flash of malice crossed Flan's face. He just couldn't fathom it. He'd schemed so hard to eliminate Dilin—why was a Divine Maiden still joining Dilin's team??
What was wrong with this year's Divine Maidens? He'd only heard of blind Divine Children before. Now even blind Divine Maidens were showing up??
If Dilin were merely an average Divine Child, recruiting a mediocre or weak Divine Maiden might be normal. But Dilin was practically a cripple with almost no Divine Child talent at all??
Put simply, if Dilin had even a shred more talent, Flan wouldn't dare target him like this. First, the cost was too high and unbalanced—it might not even succeed. Second, offending a future Divine Child, even a mediocre one, would mean deep trouble once they grew up.
Flan had acted so recklessly precisely because he was certain no Divine Maiden would ever look twice at Dilin.
"What's the surname of this Divine Maiden named Tilisha?" Flan asked, suppressing a surge of anger.
"She didn't mention it. Perhaps she has private reasons. We can't force her, can we?"
"No surname?" Flan breathed a slight sigh of relief at this.
So she was just some wild Divine Maiden from nowhere. Likely an illegitimate child of an obscure Divine Maiden family, without even proper status.
Thinking this, Flan felt much more at ease.
Honestly, a blind Divine Child paired with a wild Divine Maiden—truly a perfect match.
"What does she look like?"
"Mr. Flan, you mean the little Divine Maiden who hasn't undergone Divine Maiden Transformation yet? Platinum-blonde hair, eyes like emerald jade—quite cute. But there's an ugly scar on her face......... I'm not sure if it's a scar or a birthmark; it looks awkward."
"When she signed up for the team earlier, she even wrapped her ears in gauze. I didn't ask why."
Flan frowned upon hearing this.
A scar on her face? Ears wrapped in gauze?
He couldn't figure it out. Probably another freak like Dilin. After all, birds of a feather flock together.
But............ platinum-blonde hair?
Coleman Academy had few golden-haired students, let alone platinum-blonde. Flan had never seen anyone at the academy with that color.
"Tilisha—a name I've never heard. Miss Blaise, is there anyone by that name in this year's intake?"
"Naturally not. This Divine Maiden only enrolled today."
"A freshman??" Flan's eyebrows furrowed.
Coleman Academy had strict freshman enrollment standards, but Divine Maidens were the exception.
Compared to Divine Children, mages, or alchemists, Divine Maidens inherited divine power through bloodline—the rarest of rare resources. In any team, a Divine Maiden was always the most prominent, with the highest output and strongest combat power. Their Divine Right was innate; mages and warriors built strength through training.
So academies everywhere welcomed Divine Maidens. Enrollment requirements were low—just confirm you're a Divine Maiden, and you could join.
"Did you agree?"
"Why not? It's enrollment season. A freshman Divine Maiden fits the rules. No matter her family, absorbing her brings no loss."
"But don't Divine Maidens undergo testing before enrollment?"
"Yes, but the semester started. We act first, report later—enroll now, test tomorrow with academy personnel."
"So they haven't tested her Divine Maiden type yet?"
"Correct. Testing is scheduled for tomorrow."
"I see. Sorry to disturb your lunch break, Miss Blaise." Flan left, already plotting.

Back in his dorm, Dilin collapsed onto his bed like a broken puppet. His exaggerated movement made the hair accessory in his chest fall out.
He held the accessory, his mind swirling.
Only later did he learn that removing it and praying with clasped hands would transform him back from his Elf state.
He was immensely relieved he could still change back. After years of effort, he didn't want to become a blacklisted person again—he'd be stranded in this world.
Dilin felt no kinship with his Elf identity. He refused to use it for convenience or entangle himself with the Elf race. It would only bring trouble.
After leaving Coleman Forest, he'd returned to the monastery first.
Bilodis kept her promise. Somehow, she cured the abbot's illness completely, saving the monastery from relocation.
Staring at the magical accessory with a complex expression, Dilin's thoughts grew tangled.
He clearly wasn't Bilodis's sister's reincarnation—so why had he turned into an Elf?
Even as an Elf, he remembered nothing of any past Elf life.
This accessory was clearly a vital Elf holy relic. Was it risky for him to keep it?
Right now, his biggest worry was whether Bilodis would learn he wasn't dead—and what she'd do if she did.
He still didn't grasp Bilodis's significance to the Elf race, but her status must be high—perhaps above the current Elf King.
How many knew her plan? Did the Elf King count? If so, would it affect his academy life?
The key was Bilodis's attitude toward him and the Elves' attitude. But if Coleman Academy's leaders knew nothing, he could play dumb and act like nothing happened.
His plan to be his own Divine Maiden was spur-of-the-moment. Disguising his ears with the Sun and Moon Crown should hide his identity—no problem in theory.
He'd considered other academies, but an Elf at any place besides Coleman would draw even more attention. The result would be the same.
For now, he could only take it one step at a time.
