"Becoming the Holy Maiden just now and she's already given me such a heavy burden... Lady Cely really..." True Dawn complained to Aileen, who followed beside her, as she rode a white unicorn.

"Our master has great trust in Miss True Dawn's abilities. Just do your best. If anything goes wrong, I'll cover for you."

Cecile wasn't reassured about letting True Dawn come alone to such a dangerous place. Losing her over one urgent matter would be an absolute waste. That's why Aileen—the game's truly versatile warrior—accompanied her, ready to handle any unexpected incident. She excelled in all aspects, and no one surpassed her in etiquette.

"With someone like Sister Aileen by my side, I feel completely at ease," True Dawn said with a gentle smile.

After walking a while longer, True Dawn spotted many people seemingly hiding in the dilapidated village ahead. She dismounted from the white unicorn. It whinnied and nudged her, displeased she'd gotten off. Gently stroking its head, True Dawn whispered, "It's fine. I'll just walk this stretch. My body can handle it. Even if I'm not a warrior who tears monsters apart barehanded, nor a mage like Lady Cely who soars through skies and earth, I can still walk. Besides, this helps my recovery."

"Demons' aura lingers in that village, Miss True Dawn. Stay within three steps of me."

"Mm, understood. I'll trouble you, Sister Aileen."

"It's my duty."

...

Inside a run-down house, a woman with long black hair and lifeless eyes sat on a tattered bed. Her gaze fixed ahead yet saw nothing. Before her, a crimson vortex reeking of blood suddenly opened. A blood-stained cleaver emerged, followed by a scaled arm thick as an adult's thigh. Then legs... soon, a hideous, winged demon appeared. It stretched uncomfortably, looked down at the woman, and flashed a cruel smile. Raising the cleaver, it swung to torture her. The woman slowly lifted her head and met its eyes. Overwhelming fear flashed through the demon.

"Boom!" Its head exploded.

"Boom!" "Boom!" The massive body burst apart. Thick blood splattered onto the woman, but she didn't flinch. The blood was swiftly absorbed by her skin and clothes, then dissolved into specks of light, returning to Hell. Without a word, she stood and walked out, leaving the demon's remains to dissipate.

Just as she closed the barely shielding door, a gentle, sweet voice called out.

"Miss, may I take a moment? I'd like to share our beacon and savior, Papal Majesty."

The woman turned. A golden-haired girl stood timidly nearby, her smile radiating holy gentleness like a fallen angel. Beside her were a white unicorn and a sensible maid. No—perhaps she truly was an angel's incarnation. Interest flickered in the woman's eyes.

"Very well."

The girl's face grew solemn and yearning. "Papal Majesty calls herself the 'Incarnation of God.' Past, present, and future, she remains God's most loyal spokesperson, spreading His faith as every being's savior. She walks between Heaven and the mortal world, scattering light and mercy. Six divine incarnations serve her: 'Scythe of Destiny'—her favored proxy for judgment; 'Celestial Holy Maiden'—her longest-serving follower, executing God's will; 'Sacred Pride'—her assistant and divine messenger; 'Angel of Light'—God's beloved, descended to supervise her duties."

The woman praised flatly, "Your Papal Majesty is impressive, served by so many divine beings."

"Not just them," the girl said excitedly. "She also has the 'Blazing Holy Sword'—God's divine punishment, His wrath and Hand, judge and executioner of heretics and unclean beings. Opposite her is the 'Hell Walker.' He was once Hell's Hell Overlord but submitted after feeling God's radiance and Papal Majesty's mercy. Now he's her spokesperson in Hell."

The woman's expression shifted; she smiled. "Impressive, impressive."

The girl extended her hand. "Sister, will you join our Luminous Cathedral? Help us and Papal Majesty overthrow that vile Witch's rule?"

The woman's smile widened. She grasped the hand. "Overthrow the Witch? I will. But I have matters to settle first. Grant me time."

"Of course. The Luminous Cathedral never forces membership..." True Dawn handed her an invitation. "I must spread God's radiance and Papal Majesty's mercy elsewhere. Later, visit the City of Jesa—our grandest cathedral."

The woman nodded. "I'll come after my tasks."

Watching the girl, maid, and unicorn fade into the distance, the woman twirled her hair. A trace of interest glimmered in her hollow eyes. The Sun climbed overhead, casting her shadow—large, huge... enormous! The entire village drowned in that indescribable darkness. It wasn't a woman's graceful form but a chaotic, twisted monstrosity growing wildly. Tentacles lashed out, devouring every demon newly born in the village. They perished in the mortal world, no chance to flee back to Hell.

...

"Miss True Dawn, I must remind you of something."

"What? Was my scripture recitation wrong?"

"'Overlord of Hell' isn't the same as 'Hell Overlord'... Just skip the middle character, Miss. Speaking His true name might alert Him."

True Dawn tilted her head doubtfully. "What difference does one character make?"

Aileen shook her head. "Only one Hell Overlord exists in Hell—older than even our master... no, older than the Pride Witch from dozens of generations past. Humans can't trace His origins; countless Overlords of Hell may rise..."

"He rules Hell truly. Even our master wouldn't claim victory over Him."

"Eh! I thought Lady Cely was invincible!" True Dawn gasped.

"To humans, she is. But the Hell Overlord transcends humanity. Among demons, He's the most terrifying existence—none dare contact Him."

"He's been dormant long. Hopefully, your words didn't wake Him."

"So scary... I'll correct it. I'll say 'Overlord of Hell' from now on. Only that sister heard this version anyway."

"I hope it's not too late."
