Seeing his sister care for him so much, Chuyun nearly teared up. Shiqi had truly grown sensible. No one knew how long he’d waited for this day.

Chuyun gently patted his sister’s head, gazing at her with deep satisfaction. “It’s fine, it’s fine. I promised to watch the whole movie with you today. Just a few more minutes—I can hold on.”

“Mmm… okay then.”

Though Chuyun said this, he was already drowsy. His eyelids grew heavier by the second. He couldn’t keep them open. He no longer followed the movie. The screen blurred into a hazy fog.

Overwhelmed by sleepiness, Chuyun clung to sheer willpower. He refused to disappoint his sister. Not at this crucial moment.

A few minutes later…

Xia Shiqi watched Chuyun’s drooping head. Her bright, autumn-water eyes darkened with sickening lust. She sat beside him. Her cherry-pink lips brushed his ear, whispering softly.

“Chuyun? Chuyun?”

“Are you asleep?”

“Mmh~~~mmh~~~”

Chuyun was fast asleep. No calling could wake him. She couldn’t hold back anymore. His sudden kindness was his fault. That meant she couldn’t let him go.

Xia Shiqi’s face flushed as she thought dazedly.

Barefoot, Xia Shiqi stood up. She dragged Chuyun behind her to her pillow. Gently supporting his back, she laid his head on it.

Seeing Chuyun sleep like a dead pig on her bed, Xia Shiqi paused. She’d shower first—she felt damp.

Half an hour later…

Fresh from her bath, Xia Shiqi returned to her room. She undressed by the bed. Turned off the light. Darkness swallowed the room. She climbed in beside Chuyun.

Xia Shiqi’s soft body clung to him like an octopus. Her flushed face pressed to his chest, cooing softly.

“Mmh~~~mmh~~~”

“Mmh~~~mmh~~~”

“Mmh~~~mmh~~~”

Soon, Xia Shiqi sat up. She pulled the blanket over them both.

…..

….

1 AM

Xia Shiqi felt thirsty. She drank a lot of water.

2 AM

Xia Shiqi felt hot. She licked an ice pop.

3 AM

Xia Shiqi remembered the fridge yogurt. It would expire if not drunk.

4 AM

Xia Shiqi’s little belly growled. She ate two eggs, a sausage, and yogurt. She felt full.

…..

….

The quiet night slipped away. Morning arrived swiftly.

“Mmh~~~mmh~~~”

“Mmh~~~mmh~~~”

“Mmh~~~mmh~~~”

Chuyun drifted in dream-sea. Half-awake, he heard Shiqi’s voice. Warmth spread through him. Then, after release, it vanished.

Groggy and muddled, Chuyun faded from the indescribable dream. He slowly opened his sleep-heavy, dark eyes.

Headache. What happened…

This was Chuyun’s first thought waking up.

Chuyun tried to sit up. Something pressed on him. He looked down, confused. A pink blanket covered him. The girly pink decor confirmed it—Shiqi’s room.

Chuyun recalled memory fragments. He remembered: yesterday, watching a zombie movie with Shiqi. He must have fallen asleep. That was his last clear memory.

Why was he in Shiqi’s room? Why hadn’t she woken him?

Had he really slept with Shiqi in her bed all night?

Chuyun hoped not. But the warm, jade-like touch against him cruelly confirmed it.

Better wake Shiqi first. Ask what happened. Overthinking now was useless.

Chuyun propped himself on the bed. Leaned against the headboard. Lifted the pink blanket. Beneath it, curled against his chest and thighs, lay a petite girl.

“Shiqi~~ Shiqi~~”

“Mmm~~~~~”

“What? I’m so sleepy.”

Woken, Xia Shiqi rubbed her sleepy eyes. Sat up drowsily. Her eyes, heavy with sleep, glared at Chuyun with thick bedhead grumpiness.

Her poor sleep posture had slipped the left strap of her silk nightgown. It revealed a shoulder smooth and pale as porcelain.

“Shiqi, your strap slipped. Fix it.”

Seeing his sister’s exposed skin, Chuyun blushed. He turned his head away while reminding her.

“Mmm… fixed.”

Xia Shiqi saw her bare shoulder. Her face showed no shyness. Calmly, she pulled the strap back up.

After she adjusted her nightgown, Chuyun asked quickly.

“Shiqi, did I fall asleep on my own?”

“Why didn’t you wake me?”

“And why were you sleeping on me?”

Hearing this, Xia Shiqi’s sleepy face pouted deeply. “You slept like a dead pig! I couldn’t wake you. You were so heavy—I couldn’t move you. What could I do?”

“It’s not my fault! You’re yelling at me… waaah… I hate you… waaah…”

As she spoke, Xia Shiqi choked up. Tears gathered in her bright eyes. They fell on Chuyun like she’d suffered great injustice.

Seeing his sister so upset, Chuyun drowned in guilt. He pulled her into his embrace. Gently stroked her head to comfort her.

“Shiqi, I’m sorry. I didn’t understand. Don’t be mad at me, okay?”

“Waaah… hate you… hate you… waaah…”

“Shiqi, please stop crying. It pains me too. I’ll do anything if you stop. Okay?”

“No no! I won’t! Waaah…”
