Chuyun was utterly shocked. How could someone slander his innocence out of thin air? If Han Youwei believed it, he'd be doomed. But she was so airheaded, it should be fine.

"What's the rush?" Lin Waner rolled her eyes at Chuyun. "If you're not a lolicon, what kind of con are you?"

"Of course I— pfft! Almost fell for your trick."

Chuyun nearly blurted out his secret fetish thanks to Lin Waner's scheme, but he slammed the brakes just in time. Otherwise, he'd have died of embarrassment on the spot.

Lin Waner shook her head with a sigh. "Such a shame. I almost got little Yun's hobby out of him."

"Sister Waner," Chuyun said with heartfelt pain, "what about the trust between people?"

Giggling, Lin Waner waved it off. "Alright, alright, enough of that. Hey, are you two in the same class?"

"Yeah, she's my deskmate."

"Eh, is that so..."

Lin Waner turned to Han Youwei, extending her hand. "Hello, underclassman. I'm Lin Waner, Chuyun's childhood friend."

"S-senior sister, hello. I-I'm Han Youwei, Chuyun's deskmate."

Han Youwei's adorable face showed nervousness as she reached out her tiny hand. She gave a light handshake, then yanked it back as if she'd touched something scary.

Charmed by Han Youwei's silly-cute demeanor, Lin Waner couldn't resist stroking her cheek. "You're so adorable! And your skin is perfect—so smooth and bouncy!"

"Sis... stop... touching... can't... talk..." Han Youwei mumbled incoherently, squirming under the pinching.

Finally, Han Youwei was so dazed and pliant from all the petting that her petite frame slumped weakly into Lin Waner's arms.

Chuyun watched dumbfounded as the scene unfolded perfectly.

Seeing Han Youwei all flustered, Chuyun's heart ached. "Sister Waner, don't pick on her. She's really shy."

"Hehe, she's just so cute, I couldn't help myself."

"Sorry about that, underclassman," Lin Waner said, sticking out her pink tongue apologetically.

"It's... it's fine."

Blushing furiously, Han Youwei wriggled free and dashed to sit beside Chuyun, like a kitten scared by a stranger's touch seeking refuge with its mother.

Chuyun glanced at the cafeteria clock—it was past twelve. "Sister Waner, I'll take Han Youwei back to class. Lunch break's starting."

"Mhm, little Yun, remember to wait for me in my classroom after school!"

"If you stand me up again, I'll be extremely angry," Lin Waner said sweetly, but her words dripped with deadly intent.

"No, never! I definitely won't stand you up. We're leaving now," Chuyun promised hastily, his heart pounding, before hurrying off with Han Youwei.

Lin Waner watched their figures fade. Her radiant smile slowly vanished, leaving a blank face as she stared at her hand. "Han Youwei... I hope you don't fall for Chuyun. Otherwise, I won't show any mercy."

Lin Waner loathed anyone eyeing Chuyun. Since childhood, she'd claimed him as hers. Girls who dared approach him were secretly crushed by her schemes. If Han Youwei developed feelings, she wouldn't hesitate.

But Han Youwei's clothes hinted at a notable background—the design looked familiar, like pieces in Lin Waner's own wardrobe. Still, she'd dealt with influential girls before and forced them all to drop out.

Chuyun's recent odd behavior unsettled her. His relationship with that little minx seemed to be rekindling—she'd worked hard to break them up. If they reconciled, that girl would devour him whole.

Lin Waner had planned to savor Chuyun at eighteen. Now, she needed to lure him to her house early. Given his personality, he'd take responsibility, making him hers forever.

The thought made her grin, but she bit it back. Now wasn't the time to smile—only winners could.

Meanwhile, Chuyun had no clue danger loomed.

...

Chuyun walked back to class, holding Han Youwei's soft little hand. No need to ask why—they'd linked hands again because she'd shyly offered her pale hand right after leaving the cafeteria. Refusing would crush her self-esteem.

"Han Youwei, don't mind earlier. She didn't mean to bully you," Chuyun explained gently.

"It's... fine. The senior sister is nice."

"Mhm, good."

They soon reached the classroom. When the lunch break bell rang, they both drifted off to sleep.

As the soft end-of-break music played, Chuyun groggily rubbed his drowsy eyes, sat up, and leaned against his chair. After a few minutes, he stretched luxuriously, finally feeling refreshed.

He glanced at Han Youwei beside him, still deeply asleep. The corners of her rosy lips curled upward slightly, as if enjoying a happy dream.

"Han Youwei, wake up. Lunch break's over," Chuyun said, gently shaking her shoulder to rouse the sleepy little cat.

"Mmm~"

Han Youwei let out a soft whimper, then slowly opened her hazy eyes. She grabbed his hand, pinned it to the desk, and used it as a pillow, resting her head on it to drift back to sleep with a contented sigh.
