After leaving the Go Club, Ouyang Qianxue was dragged by classmates to other cultural clubs.
For Ouyang Qianxue, who’d endured eight years of grueling arts training and was naturally gifted, these activities were a breeze.
Poetry analysis, flower arranging, painting—he handled them all effortlessly. By now, his classmates wore awestruck expressions.
"Oh my, Qianxue isn’t just gorgeous—she’s insanely talented too! Even as a girl myself, I’m turning into her fangirl," one murmured.
"Mm, I get that feeling," others chimed in around her.
Led by peers, Ouyang Qianxue then reached the Music Club. Music always made him think of piano—his true passion. As they say, interest is the best teacher. Piano was his strongest skill, impressing even the master hired by his wealthy patron.
Just the opening prelude won over every club member. After one full piece, even the advisor teacher was spellbound.
Having agreed to represent the Music Club nationally, Ouyang Qianxue headed to the Volleyball Club—his last stop. Two female members guided him to the locker room.
"W-why bring me here?!" Ouyang Qianxue asked, blushing at the door.
"What? You can’t play volleyball in that uniform, Ouyang," one girl replied.
His girls’ school outfit—a short skirt and tights—wasn’t restrictive, but impractical for sports.
"B-but I just enrolled! I don’t have gym clothes yet," he stammered.
"No worries, borrow mine," she said, opening her locker and handing him a girls’ tracksuit.
Ouyang Qianxue took it reluctantly.
"Why aren’t you changing, Ouyang?" another girl noticed he hadn’t moved.
"I… uh…" Panic hit him. Was he really about to change in a girls’ locker room, in front of two strangers?
"Ah! You’re shy under watch. We’ll wait outside," she said, pulling her friend away.
"Phew, saved!" Ouyang Qianxue rushed to change. Just as he peeled off his top, the girl burst back in.
"Whoa!" The shock made him yelp.
"Oops! Forgot my water bottle," she apologized, grabbing it from a bench. "But wow, Ouyang—your skin’s flawless. That smooth, pale back looks like alabaster."
"N-no, you’re too kind," he mumbled.
"Finish up. I’ll leave now."
"Haa~" He exhaled deeply after she left. "Ugh, what karma forced me into this shame?"
Three minutes later, changed into long sports pants, Ouyang Qianxue entered the gym. It was packed. Students from other classes had flocked to see him.
"What?! Long pants?!" Boys groaned in disappointment.
"Ouyang, why cover up? I gave you shorts! Wasting that slim figure…" a girl sighed regretfully.
"Well, I prefer long pants," he shrugged.
"Yo! You’re Ouyang Qianxue from class six?" A tall girl from the opposing team glared.
"That’s me."
"Hmph! Flaunting your looks to flirt with Bai Yuxuan? I heard you stole the seat beside him!"
"Huh? Why flirt with that icy, stone-faced guy? The teacher assigned the seat."
"Showing off?!" She spiked the ball hard at his face. Ouyang Qianxue lightly blocked it upward.
"Oh no—he set it too high!"
The tall girl was already at the net. "Take this!" She prepared to spike, certain his 1.6m frame couldn’t block. She slammed the ball—then froze. Ouyang Qianxue’s face loomed right before her.
"What?!"
"Unbelievable! His jumping power!"
Ouyang Qianxue’s stylish block became the crowd’s most dazzling moment.
After the visit, the Volleyball Club naturally invited him. He firmly declined—volleyball took too much study time.
(No way. Medical checks alone would expose me, let alone team changing rooms.) The thought of his gender revealed, and classmates’ stares, sent chills down his spine.
By evening, he reached their meeting spot. Qian Wang was already waiting.
"Sorry!" Ouyang Qianxue rushed over. "I made you wait when you were guiding me."
"Well, who agreed to every club tour so easily?"
"Ugh~"
"Seriously, your ‘yes-man’ habit will backfire," she chided as they walked toward the dorms.
"Still, today was fruitful for you," Qian Wang added.
"Fruitful?" Ouyang Qianxue tilted his head.
"Forgot your mission?"
"No—become Cherry Blossom Academy’s most popular girl."
"Exactly. After today, you’ll be the school’s star. Becoming its top idol is inevitable."
"Really? I just toured some clubs."
"Sigh, clueless as ever," Qian Wang facepalmed. "Cherry Blossom’s clubs win national awards. Their simultaneous offers? That’s huge."
"Uh… that big?"
They’d reached the dorm entrance. "Room 405," Ouyang Qianxue said, reaching for his key—just as another key turned in the lock.
"Qian Wang, why do you have my key?!"
"Oops, didn’t mention? Cherry Blossom uses double rooms. My aunt arranged us together—I need to monitor you closely."
"Are you kidding?!" Living with a girl?!
His face flushed crimson.
"Why blush? Planning something wicked while ‘cohabiting’?" Qian Wang grinned mischievously.
"Never! It’s just sharing a dorm!" Steam seemed to puff from Ouyang Qianxue’s head.
