Chapter 2: Guests from the Four Directio

A deathly chill seeped through the hall, silencing the once-bustling space in an instant.

Every staff member and adventurer stared wide-eyed at the black-clad youth who had just strode through the entrance.

Especially Labos—the mage who’d unleashed that second-tier spell. His jaw hung so low it nearly scraped the floor.

As the caster, he knew exactly how devastating his magic was.

Countering it should’ve required an equally powerful martial technique—not a casual backhand slap like that youth’s…

*Gulp.*

Adventurers swallowed hard, their gazes darting nervously over the young man.

Casually dispersing a second-tier spell with one slap? That had to be Gold-rank strength…

*(World Tiers: Iron (Lv.1-10) < Copper (Lv.10-20) < Silver (Lv.20-30) < Gold (Lv.30-40) < Platinum (Lv.40-50) < Heroic Realm (Lv.55+))*

"Hello. We’re here to register as new adventurers. Where do we complete the paperwork?"

Aiva’s figure looked delicate in a knee-length, slim-fit azure dress, her smooth calves exposed below the hem.

Her waterfall of cerulean hair cascaded naturally over her shoulders, matching the gown to amplify her doll-like innocence.

To onlookers, her porcelain skin and petite features made her seem like a sheltered princess—utterly unfit for adventuring. After all, monsters showed no mercy to beauty.

"No one available?"

Aiva tilted her head, scanning the still-dazed crowd. Had her voice been too soft?

"Ah! Yes, yes! My apologies—I was lost in thought."

A girl with an auburn ponytail snapped out of her trance first. She hurried over, skirts rustling, and bowed deeply. "I’m Yuseni, receptionist and quest coordinator. Please follow me. Registration requires some formalities."

As staff, she couldn’t afford to neglect any adventurer—especially not enigmatic powerhouses like these.

"I’m already registered. I’ll wait here."

The Goblin Slayer, silent since entering, leaned close to Mu Yi. His helmeted gaze locked onto the quest board ahead, a faint crimson glint flashing beneath the visor.

*Finally… Misty Hidden Forest. So many goblins hiding there…*

"Understood. We’ll find you after finishing."

Mu Yi followed his gaze to the bulletin board. A chill brushed his neck as he recalled the man’s earlier words:

*"I don’t save the world. I only kill goblins."*

This was the first adventurer he’d met so singularly obsessed with slaughtering goblins—consumed by hatred.

"Then, miss," Yuseni gestured gracefully, "please bring your *boyfriend* this way." She smiled. *Such a handsome, powerful couple—truly a match.*

"N-no! Master isn’t Aiva’s boyfriend!" Aiva’s face flushed crimson, steam nearly rising from her ears. "Aiva is merely Master’s servant. She could never… *that*…"

*Boyfriend?!* She’d never dared imagine such a thing. She existed only to serve.

"*Master*…?" Yuseni blinked, then studied Mu Yi’s impassive face. After a long pause, her eyes widened in realization. *Ah. So that’s how it is.*

She grinned slyly at Mu Yi. "Didn’t take you for the… *playful* type." *Master-servant roleplay? Kinky.*

"I think you’ve misunderstood—" Mu Yi pinched his brow, feeling dozens of murderous glares from jealous adventurers. *Why are they so worked up?*

"Right, right! My mistake." Yuseni’s professional smile returned. "But we must hurry—the paperwork takes hours. Miss the noon deadline," she nodded toward the antique clock overhead, "and you’ll have to wait until afternoon."

"Of course, we’ll—"

***BANG!***

The doors slammed open. Stiletto heels clicked sharply against stone, drawing every eye. And every breath caught.

Jet-black bangs framed scarlet eyes glacial with contempt. Her form-fitting black armor left little to imagination—chest plates barely containing full curves, thigh-high stockings hugging muscular legs, the fabric digging faint indentations into supple flesh above the knee guards.

Her gaze swept the room like a queen surveying vermin. Male adventurers clutched their groins, cheering wildly.

"Lowly creatures…"

The ice-cold beauty’s lip curled in disgust. *These insect-like humans still make my stomach turn.*
