Chapter 9: The True Otherworld

Cerulean-blue particles swirled into a vortex above the vast, empty meadow.

Fierce winds swept through, lifting pink rose petals from distant flower beds. They swirled high into the air, flowing like a stream around the vortex.

A figure emerged from the vortex. Mu Yi, holding Aiva, slowly descended from the particle space to the ground.

"Master, we've successfully escaped that eerie place."

Her jade-white, delicate hands rested on Mu Yi's neck. Aiva blinked her big, watery eyes, gazing tenderly at the man holding her.

She'd lost count of how many times she'd seen his profile from this angle. Yet, no matter how often she looked, Master always seemed incredibly handsome, and she never grew tired of it.

This was admiration mixed with yearning and affection—not as a servant, but as a lovestruck maiden.

She, Aiva, harbored feelings for her master that went beyond their master-servant bond.

"Good work, Aiva."

Mu Yi gently set the girl down. He reached out, pinched her soft, fair cheek, and smiled slightly.

But the image of that female demon was seared into his mind, impossible to forget.

Her cool, melodious voice, her fiery, sensual curves—especially those long, shapely legs—were already etched into his DNA.

"Master, why didn't you use your Awakening skill just now?"

Aiva pressed her hand over Mu Yi's, which was still pinching her cheek. Her beautiful eyes held deep confusion as she asked.

With Master's strength, defeating her should've been easy. So why had he wasted time with meaningless skills?

"Aiva, savoring battle is the ultimate joy for me. One-sided crushing holds no meaning, don't you agree?"

Mu Yi reached out and ruffled Aiva's hair vigorously, messing it up like a bird's nest.

Hmm, no matter how many times he saw it, this girl was just so adorable. He felt truly blessed to have her by his side.

"I... I failed to understand Master's thoughts... I'm just too foolish..."

Hearing this, Aiva's face flushed red. She lowered her head shyly, fidgeting with her fingers.

Master loved savoring the thrill of battle. How could she have forgotten something so important? She was such an idiot...

"Aiva, there's something else you want to tell me, isn't there?"

Mu Yi suddenly crouched down. He placed his black cowboy hat on the girl's head and gazed at her calmly.

Truth be told, he'd already sensed something odd during the fight with that female demon.

As the Ultimate Rare Electronic Sprite, part of the game itself, Aiva should've noticed this change before him, the player.

"Master..."

Aiva hesitated, biting her lip gently, unsure how to begin.

This might not affect her much, but for Master...

"The world we're in now isn't actually the new world of 'Oscillation,' is it?"

Seeing Aiva's reluctance, Mu Yi smiled wryly. He scratched the back of his head and looked around at the vast, empty meadow.

The clear scent of flowers and grass, the cool breeze brushing against his face...

Plus the pain and exhaustion from fighting that demon earlier.

This vivid realism, indistinguishable from reality—'Oscillation' could never simulate this.

"The moment we teleported to the new world, some unknown force sent us to this real world. The silver hexagram that appeared under my feet was proof."

Mu Yi stood up and looked toward a wide path in the distance, speaking calmly.

But what truly made him realize this was the real world wasn't his reasoning...

"Even the 'Exit Game' option vanished into thin air. How can I believe I'm still in the game?"

Mu Yi summoned his panel and stared helplessly at the missing game announcements and exit option.

He couldn't log off even if he wanted to. Combined with these lifelike sensations, he had no choice but to accept this was the real world.

"So my mind and game character were summoned together to another world?"

"But who summoned me here?"

Mu Yi frowned slightly. His inexplicable teleportation must be linked to that silver hexagram from the game.

If they could summon him here, they should be able to send him back.

"So I need to find the one who summoned me first..."

Mu Yi stroked his chin, murmuring softly.

To return to his old game world, he had to find that summoner.

But the world was vast—where could he even start looking?

"Come to think of it, this summoning skill is seriously amateurish."

Mu Yi covered his forehead and sighed helplessly. What kind of idiot mage summoned him?

Instead of summoning him right in front of them, they dumped him straight into demon territory. Were they trying to get him killed?

How could such a half-baked mage cross worlds to summon him? What a dumbass mage...
