"Is the Great Demon King Home?"

Lilith knocked softly on the door and called out. She then stood nervously before it for a moment.

No response came.

Maybe he was already asleep?

Lilith suddenly felt like backing out.

She might as well leave now… and report tomorrow instead. She could claim that since she hadn’t gotten a timely reply from the Great Demon King last night, she’d made the arrest decision on her own.

Then, she could reasonably shift the blame. That should work—she might even earn praise for "strong independent action"~

Lilith couldn’t help but fantasize about becoming the Demonlord’s trusted aide, doted on and favored.

With the Demonlord’s backing, she’d rule Demon City unchecked, acting as she pleased. No stray dog would dare bark twice at her. Even the aunt selling baozi for breakfast might round down her bill. Hehehe~

Grinning foolishly at this bright future, Lilith thought: if she just pleased the Demonlord and curried favor, she’d reach life’s peak with power and perks—getting anything she wanted.

…Wait, on second thought, monopolizing power sounded exhausting.

Slacking off suited her better. At such a high rank, burdened with duties, she’d crumble.

Resolved, Lilith turned to leave—but froze. The petite Demonlord stood silently behind her, clad in a yellow raincoat.

"Eep! Great Demon King? G-good night… no, good evening—!"

"Good evening."

The Demonlord glanced up slightly at Lilith, then unlocked the door with her keys.

"Great Demon King, what are you…?"

"Oh, I bought breakfast. Just got back—come in. Don’t stand in the rain."

Lilith was slightly taken aback. Lucy hung the oversized yellow raincoat on a rack, revealing a thin, cool nightgown underneath. She slipped into cotton slippers, holding a white plastic bag filled with takeout boxes and milk tea.

Lilith followed closely behind. They crossed the empty living room, climbed the stairs, and entered the Demonlord’s second-floor bedroom.

Inside, snack bags and takeout containers cluttered the floor. White tissues littered every corner. The trash can overflowed with triple its capacity.

Lucy nimbly stepped around the mess, reached her desk, and hopped lightly onto a comfy leather chair. She curled up, feet dangling off the ground.

Behind her, Lilith noticed Lucy’s messy ahoge bobbing with each step. Through the delicate nightgown, she glimpsed a fair, slender waist—and the alluring black lace underwear beneath. Her thoughts drifted to days ago: Lucy drunk and flushed, pinning her to the bed… the unique comfort of skilled, forceful kisses, the warmth of soft, fragrant lips…

A sudden thought gripped Lilith as she stared at Lucy’s petite back:

*If the Great Demon King ever gets drunk again… would I be—*

Ahem… "Form is emptiness, emptiness is form." Lilith, you’re an upright model employee—no weird thoughts about your loli boss!

She quickly looked away, scolding her own stirring desires.

Besides… I’m the dominant alpha! If anything happens, I’d be in charge—not fantasizing about being overpowered by a drunk otaku loli boss… uh, filthy stuff—!

"Great Demon King, I came to report—"

"Hmm?"

Lucy sat at her desk, legs spread casually. She unpacked her takeout box—then turned with a puzzled look, a piece of fried chicken dangling from her mouth.

"Uh… eat first. I came to… um… repay your kindness by tidying your room!"

Lucy nodded, seemingly accepting it, and focused on devouring her meal—dinner or breakfast.

Lilith quietly cleaned: sweeping floors, folding the bed, gathering trash into bags. She sorted everything and carried the bags to the door.

To slack off smoothly at work, pleasing the boss was key. Lilith knew: a grumpy superior meant scolding for anything. But a happy one forgave small mistakes—especially for a shut-in otaku loli Demonlord.

The trick was getting her in a good mood before reporting.

A full stomach helped… plus, diligent cleaning might earn leniency, if not joy.

"Lilith, about the reward for capturing the Hero last time (chewing noisily)… I’ve arranged it."

"Oh? Great Demon King, you mean—?"

"Triple year-end bonus is settled. But the raise… well."

Lucy paused, tossed a chicken bone into the trash.

"Demon City’s frontlines strained our funds lately. Logistics reported tight budgets. I hope you understand."

Lilith’s lips twitched.

*Triple bonus but no raise? What logic is this…*

"Well, I was due a huge personal income. But the duplicate project contract was stolen by a spy. Now…"

"Getting a new one means visiting the black market myself. Going out is such a hassle."

"My pocket money covered Demon City’s costs—and snacks, manga, books."

"If you retrieve the file, bonuses and raises are guaranteed."

Lucy turned her chair, seeing Lilith’s aggrieved face. She added consolingly:

"But since you surrendered the Hero in two days—a real feat—I’ll give extra rewards."

Lilith’s eyes lit up.

"Though… I haven’t decided what yet." Lucy’s tone turned troubled.

"Well… anything is fine! Your gift, Great Demon King—I’m not picky—!"

*No raise… but a promotion? A big house? Extra vacation days? All sweet—*

Lilith dropped her cleaning, leaning in eagerly.

"Actually, I’ve occasionally messaged your mother using your name. She shared… fun childhood stories and your preferences."

"Ch-childhood?"

*How young? At most… a few months ago, when I transmigrated?*

Lilith’s sixth sense screamed warning—just as Lucy stood and opened her wardrobe.

"Hmm… I rarely wear this… found it."

She pulled out a pair of soft, finely-made white stockings.

"Great Demon King… wh-what is this…?"
