Beren’s lineage was “special” even among the Elvenfolk. Tracing back her ancestry revealed her forebear was the sibling of the very first Elven Queen.

In other words, Beren’s bloodline was among the most “noble” of Elves. Should the current Elven Queen ever lose her position for any reason, Beren held both the right and the blood to inherit the throne.

Because of this, Beren had served as the Elvenfolk’s Discipline Elder for many years. Her mother, grandmother, great-grandmother…

No—her entire family seemed destined to uphold Elven discipline.

She wielded the authority to punish rogue Elves without reporting to the Queen first. In emergencies, her commands overruled other Elders, carrying the weight of the Queen’s own voice. She could even lead impeachment proceedings against the Queen herself.

Simply put: second only to the sovereign.

Beren took immense pride in her role as Discipline Elder. Especially after her mother was killed by ignorant, shameless humans, her resolve to serve discipline hardened.

For this duty, she sacrificed love, devoting herself entirely to enforcing order. By human standards, she was already in her mid-twenties—yet remained unmarried.

Such a woman showed zero mercy to humans who dared covet Elven maidens. Over the years, her strict, decisive hand had banished thousands of reckless men.

【Elven Discipline Code, Article 9, Clause 13: Any non-Elven male attempting to defile our women shall have his instrument of crime severed immediately and be exiled.】

Beren’s “castration blade” dripped with the sins of countless offenders. Yet despite her undefeated record, one humiliating memory haunted her forever.

One human man—and only one—had escaped her grasp.

Worse, he was the very last human who should have slipped away.

His name was Long Zerola. Yes—the continent’s so-called “Hero.”

That flower-snatching rogue had, years ago, set his sights on Beren’s most revered Elven Queen: Freya.

No matter how many traps Beren laid, that cunning man always found a flaw, slipping past her defenses to reach their Queen.

【Zerola! You again! Today—I swear I’ll cut off that wicked thing of yours and toss it into a volcano!】

【Hahaha, don’t be so angry, little Beren. You might not believe it, but Freya actually wrote to invite me here.】

The man grinned, his handsome face only fueling Beren’s fury.

*The Queen invited you?*

*If you love dreaming so much, why not try cross-dressing instead?!*

【Hmph! D-don’t think your cheap human tricks can fool me… Aah! Stand still!】

In the blink of an eye, that bastard Zerola vanished.

He was the Hero—but as Discipline Elder, Beren refused to yield. She sprinted toward the Queen’s quarters.

Beren admitted the man had charm. During his pursuit of Her Majesty, many naive Elven maidens had already fallen for him.

*“Elder, when… when will that human man visit again? I’ll dress prettily… ahem, I mean—I’ll lock my door tight at night.”*

Shameless! Corrupting our discipline! Is *this* how proper Elven ladies behave?!

That man had nothing but a playboy’s face and a silver tongue! You’re all deceived!

If he truly loved the Queen, why collect so many wives?!

Beren knew well: Hero Zerola’s harem could field a full football team.

Corrupting discipline! Corrupting discipline!!

Beren soon reached the World Tree where the Queen resided.

Just as she feared, the human Zerola stood there, grinning like a thief as he fed sweets to the revered Queen.

Her Majesty didn’t resist. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, closed her eyes, and parted her lips slightly.

She looked radiant with joy—happier than Beren had ever seen her. But Beren wouldn’t be fooled by his cheap tricks!

“Your Majesty! Wake up! D-don’t eat food brought by humans so carelessly!” she cried desperately from below the tree. “W-what if it’s drugged? You’ll faint… then he’ll use you as a plaything for his lust, tormenting and ravaging you all night… AAAAAH! Zerola, I’ll kill you!”

Humans were despicable! All humans deserved death!

All who disrupted discipline deserved death!!

“Sigh… Beren, I’ve told you many times. There’s no need to panic when Mr. Zerola visits.”

“But!!”

Beren’s heart burned with grief and rage.

Why—why did their gentle, kind Queen lose all reason whenever this human was mentioned?!

Yes! She must be brainwashed! This human couldn’t be allowed to live. He had to die—now…

“Don’t blame the child. She’s probably just… pent up too long. Ah! Freya, I have an idea! Beren’s quite lovely, and though her temper’s sharp, she’s diligent…”

*My temper’s sharp?!*

*And since when do human men get to judge Elven Elders?!*

“Our son Arisa was just born. Why not prepare a ‘welcome gift’ for him early?”

“I think it’s wonderful, darling. You’re so thoughtful~”

Then, to Beren’s utter disbelief, her majestic Queen shyly bit the treat the human offered.

“With a diligent child like Beren, little Arisa will surely grow into an exceptional man. And Beren—you’re not young anymore. How about I introduce you to a very~ very fine young man?”

I-introduce?!

But Zerola just said his son was *newborn*!

This wasn’t matchmaking—it was a child bride!

“Queen, you… you big dummy!!”

Seeing no hope of punishing Zerola, Beren fled home in utter despair.

That very night, she carved Zerola’s name—the arch-corrupter of Elven discipline—into her bedroom wall.

She also memorized every word that man had spoken.

“Son… you have a son. Arisa, right? Good…”

“I swear on my honor as Discipline Elder—and on my family’s name…”

“Zerola… tell your son to watch his back on his way to and from school!!”
