"Young Miss, today is your noble etiquette class."
A maid's warm greeting came from outside the door, accompanied by heavy knocking. It woke Kevin, who had been sleeping soundly. She stretched lazily.
"Sigh, do I really have to learn this stuff?"
Her tone was confused. Without a second thought, she flopped back onto the bed. All she wanted was a good lazy sleep. She hadn't expected this body to feel so comfortable.
After all, her previous body had lost the ability to sleep after the Demon King War. Even her emotions and senses had faded over time.
If not for the system, she might have become an emotionless monster in a decade or so. Whether that was a blessing or a curse, she didn't know.
Her alluring legs swung gently on the pure white bed. Dressed in a black, sheer silk nightgown, her silver-white hair spilled across the sheets. It was a sight that tempted one to sin.
"My precious daughter, wake up now! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora!"
A loud crashing sound echoed as someone punched the door open. The broken door flew past Kevin and slammed into the wall. Dust billowed through the room, and Kevin's face turned murderous.
"What is it, dear father?"
"Hahaha, my daughter, it's time to get up for class. After all, you're about to attend the Imperial Academy. You'll be laughed at if you don't know basic etiquette."
"Is that so? Let them laugh. If that's all, forget it."
She gave a disdainful smile, losing interest in this boring matter. After all, she wasn't easily angered by a few women.
"Is that so? Everyone else, out. I need to talk to my daughter alone."
Carlos made a gesture, dismissing the maids. Once the room was empty, he cast a high-level magic barrier. No sound or image could escape.
The stern, fatherly Carlos Caslana instantly transformed into a loyal servant. His tone became humble, a complete contrast to moments before.
"Lord Kevin, please give me some face. Otherwise, my character will collapse," Carlos said helplessly. After all, Lord Kevin had set his role as the head of the household. Without authority and dominance, he couldn't keep up the act.
"Why did you hire an etiquette teacher? Are you trying to torture me? Or explain the reason."
Her delicate face showed drowsiness, but her light blue eyes fixed sharply on Carlos. Her tone grew impatient.
"Lord Kevin, look. As a noble young lady, without basic knowledge and etiquette, if the Brave Sir visits again—even if we fooled him once—he'll eventually spot inconsistencies. If the Hero grows suspicious and investigates, he'll find the flaws."
Carlos touched the doll core gently as he spoke earnestly. He made the best judgment to avoid risks for his master, with no trace of personal emotion. After all, dolls were born to serve their masters.
"That makes sense. If Gali discovers my current identity, it'll be big trouble. I didn't consider that carefully enough."
After calmly listening to Carlos, Kevin gradually understood. She replied flatly, "You're right."
"It's wonderful that you understand, Lord Kevin."
Satisfaction at his master's approval almost showed on Carlos's stern face. Tears nearly welled up, but alas, dolls couldn't cry.
"Fine, I got it."
She waved dismissively, a hint of resignation on her face. Then she dispelled the magic barrier completely.
Carlos Caslana returned to his original demeanor. He straightened his slightly disheveled clothes and spoke loudly for all to hear.
"Help the young miss get dressed. Quickly, the teacher is waiting downstairs."
The maids waiting outside rushed into the spacious room at Carlos's command. They began their tedious tasks.
"What a hassle. And school starts in a few days. Ugh, can't I have a few days of peace?"
Kevin sat on the expensive vanity, letting the maids groom her. Inside, she kept complaining. But obediently, she put on the exquisite dress and went downstairs.
"So this is Miss Caslana? Truly breathtaking, like a goddess descended to earth."
The female teacher waiting in the hall couldn't help but exclaim. She had taught countless noble young ladies, but none matched this one's beauty.
It was like viewing a stunning landscape. The teacher nodded in satisfaction. This met her standards of beauty.
"Let's begin, Miss Kallen. We'll start with the basics."
As dusk cast its last light, accompanied by the mournful cries of crows, the teacher walked out of the Caslana estate with a grave expression. This was probably the most difficult young lady she had ever taught.
"Hahaha, teacher, please wait!" Carlos hurried forward, even blocking her path with his body.
"If the pay is too low, I can increase it. Money is no problem. Just keep teaching my daughter. Hahaha, let's go back, teacher."
"Count Carlos, I truly cannot teach your daughter. She hasn't even learned the most basic etiquette," the teacher said slowly, as if resigned.
"I lack the ability to educate your daughter. Please excuse me." She bowed slightly to Carlos and left quickly, even using magic to enhance her body. It seemed like she was fleeing from something.
Carlos was left standing in the wind, disheveled. He understood why she fled. A glance through the open villa door revealed piles of broken dishes and glass shards.
"So tired. What kind of teaching was that?"
Kevin slumped on the soft sofa, legs spread wide. No trace of noble grace remained. If you looked down, you could see under her skirt. She lay like a lazy lord on the couch.
Outside the villa, a strange carriage arrived. It seemed to be heading for her.
