Chapter 2: Becoming a Woman? Absolutely
update icon Updated at 2025/12/10 17:30:43

Thick smoke hung in the air. The once-indestructible throne had crumbled to ashes under the lightning’s fury. Through the haze, a graceful silhouette flickered—just a glimpse sparked endless imagination.

“Is this all you’ve got, System?”

A soft female voice echoed from the smoke, dripping with disdain. Sensing something off, the speaker tried to adjust her tone, forcing it back to normal. But it was useless.

“Weird. My voice sounds like a girl’s… and familiar. Like I’ve heard it somewhere before.”

Kevin’s thoughts were cut off by a sudden voice in his head.

【Punishment complete. Irreversible.】

“System, your ‘punishment’ was just changing my voice to a girl’s?” Kevin replied lightly, face calm. But unease prickled under his skin. His whole body felt strangely… comfortable. Reborn.

It wasn’t unnatural. A quick magical scan revealed structural changes. *Impossible*, he told himself. *I’m the Tenth Tier Magic Emperor. My body can’t be altered without resistance. Absolutely not.*

【Unable to annihilate your physical form, this system opted for modification. Reminder: irreversible.】

A gust swept the mountain peak, clearing the smoke. Where the throne had collapsed, a breathtaking woman stood. Her presence dimmed everything around her. Wind-tossed silver hair framed a face with sapphire-blue eyes that shimmered like gemstones. Her porcelain skin glowed, almost begging to be defiled.

“Wait—System, you didn’t—”

Kevin’s delicate hand brushed his soft abdomen. Panic surged. *I’m the Magic Emperor. I can fix this.* Magic flared.

Minutes later.

Kevin sat slumped on the rubble, utterly defeated. Sweat from overused magic glistened on her flawless body. Bare legs gleamed under the sun, tempting sin. Only a torn cloth covered her modesty—yet her allure bled through anyway.

“Perfect. Why *this* face, System?”

She stared blankly into a magically conjured mirror. A ghost of a smile touched those exquisite lips—a smile mocking her past, heavy with resignation.

【Perfection protocol: scanned host’s memories. Selected the most beautiful deceased female. Zero complications.】

“Yeah. Manna Suhuali. Princess of this kingdom. My best friend the Hero’s wife. Dead now.” Kevin’s voice turned bitter, dragging him ninety years back.

Back when he, an arrogant transmigrator, joined the Hero’s Squad. The moment he saw the Hero, he knew—he wasn’t the protagonist. He’d watched silently as love bloomed between them. Watched the Hero cradle Manna’s corpse, howling in grief. That memory never faded. Without those companions, his mediocre talent would never have reached the Tenth Tier.

“System. Any way back?”

Kevin exhausted every spell. Nothing worked. He pleaded.

【Irreversible. Searching for solutions per host request. Stand by.】

“System, I admit I yelled earlier.”

Silence. A man of his pride couldn’t stay a woman. His tone hardened, refusing to beg.

“Fine. I’ll fucking get on my knees and beg. Just fix this.”

【……………………】

Silence.

Kevin’s gaze flicked away. Where it landed, space tore open. A slender hand reached into the rift, pulling out a thick black cloak. *Please work.*

Magic draped the fabric over her, wrapping every inch tight. Up close, only the heavy cloak’s shifting shape betrayed movement beneath.

Gali Barodale—the former Hero—would come drinking soon. Since Manna’s death, he’d drowned in alcohol for sixty years. Every two or three days, he’d stagger here. A Tenth Tier powerhouse, yet broken.

“Hope he skips today. Gotta fix this fast.”

Kevin hid the face to avoid trouble. *I’ll revert soon. I’m the Magic Emperor—I’ll find a way.* But if Gali saw *this* face… best to avoid complications.

【Host: completing assigned tasks may restore original form.】

“Fine. Accepted.”

No choice. Following the System was the safest path. An extra option never hurt.

【Task initiated. Complete promptly.】

Regret bit deep for mocking the System earlier.

*Speak of the devil.*

A drunken shout echoed from the mountainside. Footsteps—familiar, heavy with wine—sent chills down Kevin’s spine. A feeling he’d never known before.

“Kevin! Time to drink!”

“Hn.”

Kevin masked his voice with magic, replying coldly as usual. Magic surged to rebuild the ruins. But this body… its magic output, its frequency—it outperformed his old form effortlessly.

【Query detected. Perfection protocol: host now matches Manna Suhuali exactly. Soul excepted.】

“Should I thank you for that, System?” Kevin’s voice went flat. Numb.
