Luo Yu’s eyes were vacant, her expression blank.

“He’s terribly forgetful,” Cat Ten whined with a long face. “So the girls in our squad always have to remember things for him. Such a hassle.”

“…”

“Little girl?”

“Hey?”

“Are you even listening?” Cat Ten thrust her face right before Luo Yu’s eyes, waving a hand.

“I’ve got this.” Er Yue Feng extended a finger and jabbed fiercely at the space between Luo Yu’s ribs.

“Holy crap!”

Luo Yu kicked Er Yue Feng off the bed in one swift motion, clenched her fists, and flared up. “Don’t touch me randomly, damn it!”

She clutched her groin, wincing. After a long pause, she finally shook her head to clear the fog, gently rubbing the spot. “What were you saying just now?”

“I was calling you.” Cat Ten poked Luo Yu’s forehead repeatedly. “Did any of that actually sink in?”

“Got it, got it!” Luo Yu flashed an OK sign confidently, then hurriedly covered her forehead. “Stop poking my brain—it’s gonna break!”

“Fine.” Seeing Luo Yu’s condition resolved, Cat Ten knew her job was done. She stood to leave the room.

Before closing the door, she waved at Luo Yu and Er Yue Feng, blinking playfully. “May both the grown-up and the little girl find happiness.”

Luo Yu reached out, wanting to call Cat Ten back to stay longer—but the door SLAMMED shut instantly.

Now the room held only Luo Yu and the crippled Champion.

“Come on, let’s continue.” Luo Yu’s lips quirked up slightly. She spread her legs wide again, pointing at her own face. “Phantom Man, try breaking through this Emperor’s defenses. Go on.”

“…” Deprived of what he craved, Er Yue Feng had lost all desire for Luo Yu’s naked body. He burrowed under the covers and shut his eyes. “Taking it easy today.”

“You’re eighteen, not some damn cow herder.”

Frustration flared in Luo Yu. She sprang up from the bed and spat water squarely at Er Yue Feng’s head. “Phantom Man’s just a phantom. From now on, your entire harem belongs to me, Lord Luo Yu. Bet that pisses you off…”

Though her taunts were sharp, Er Yue Feng had already accepted his inadequacy—and sunk deep into sleep.

“Boring.”

Luo Yu could only curl up beside him, silently watching his sleeping face.

Her gaze drifted to his pale, peeling lips.

“I really wanna bite…”

She clapped a hand over her mouth, cheeks flushing crimson. Hugging her knees, she mumbled quietly, “Damn… did I just say that out loud?”

Shaking her head hard, Luo Yu jumped off the bed, dashed to the window, and peered out.

Next to the tavern stood an open blacksmith shop, its walls hung with gleaming blades.

She tiptoed to the door and eased it open. The catgirl guard had gone downstairs to eat—she was completely free.

“Very good.”

Heart racing, Luo Yu stuffed herself into Er Yue Feng’s discarded clothes and bolted downstairs.

She slipped into the tavern’s first floor, blending seamlessly with the visiting villagers.

Glancing back at the massive tavern, the girl realized she’d infiltrated the squad of humanity’s strongest Champion—completely unarmed—stolen clothes and cash, and escaped like a ghost.

“Win!”

“Champions are such trash…” Swelling with pride, Luo Yu grinned until her cheeks ached. “Hahaha, I’m just too damn strong—”

She choked on her own spit mid-laugh.

“Damn it.” Luo Yu coughed, wiping drool off the floor. “Why do I always choke when I laugh?”

After stretching her limbs, she fixed her gaze on the blacksmith shop beside the tavern.

“Heh heh heh…”

A wicked smirk curled her lips. “I’m the future Demon Emperor. Can’t let this end so boringly. Tonight, I’ll assassinate that Champion and carve my legend into history.”

She kicked the blacksmith’s door open, strutting in with swagger. “Boss! Got any top-tier weapons? I need to kill someone right now—reduce him to dust!”

The blacksmith: “….”

Chai Jiu, standing opposite the counter while selecting a longsword: “….”

“Shit!” Luo Yu spotted Chai Jiu’s crimson dragon tail and dove headfirst into a roadside trash bin, eyes wide with panic. “Why’s she here?!”

Chai Jiu, facing the blacksmith, only heard the voice behind her. The easygoing dragon girl didn’t recognize Luo Yu. She merely chuckled to the blacksmith, “Your Lan City sure loves drama,” before strolling out.

Luo Yu peeked out of the bin. Only when Chai Jiu vanished did she scramble out and tiptoe inside.

Puffing out her chest, she cleared her throat. “Boss… any good weapons?”

“Sure, little one. Who’s the target?” The blacksmith nodded. “I’ll need to file a police report later.”

“Killing a man…” Luo Yu clapped a hand over her mouth, shaking her head frantically. “No one! No one! Just… practicing! Yeah, practicing.”

The blacksmith eyed Luo Yu’s petite 155cm frame, shrugged, and handed her a sturdy steel dagger. “This’ll do.”

“Yosh!”

Weapon in hand, Luo Yu’s confidence soared. She fished two crumpled bills from her pocket, slapped them on the counter, and turned to leave with flair.

“Hold up.” The blacksmith’s voice stopped her at the door. He waved the bills. “You’re short.”

“Pfft, keep the change!” Luo Yu waved dismissively. “I’m loaded.”

“No. You gave me two one-dollar bills.” The blacksmith deadpanned.

Luo Yu: “….”

She trudged back, flashing her cutest smile. “Can’t you cut me a tiny discount?”

Unmoved, the blacksmith shook his head. “Nope.”

“Cheap bastard!” Luo Yu snapped.

The blacksmith: “….”

After a grueling haggle, Luo Yu reluctantly paid the full price and fled the shop.

By the time she returned to the tavern, midnight loomed.

Back in the room, she crept to the bedside. Er Yue Feng slept soundly. A faint smirk tugged at Luo Yu’s lips.

“One stab, and I’ll be the Demon Kind’s greatest hero. The first step toward my legendary path as Emperor begins now.”

Her hand slid down her inner thigh. She pulled the new dagger from her waistband.

“Hss—!” She winced as the blade nicked her skin.

Gripping the hilt with both hands, she raised it high above Er Yue Feng’s forehead.

And thrust downward.
