The border was all desert and almost empty. Luo Yu ran into almost no danger. She pulled her robe over herself and, nearly half-naked, slipped through safely.
But once she stepped into the Demon Realm, her mood crashed.
“I just walked away like that. Is catgirl sis really going to get… by that Champion…?”
“Damn it, I wimped out again.” She punched a rock on the sandy roadside, furious, fit to explode.
“And what was that assassination about? How did I end up this pathetic? I’m strong. It shouldn’t be like this…”
Limping and bedraggled on the way home, Luo Yu couldn’t settle down.
“I still can’t find Xiao Shuang’s panties. This is killing me.”
“Why didn’t that catgirl sis leave with me? Why? We’re all Demon Kind. How can she mess around with a Champion…”
At the border entry of the Demon Kind, the first small city, Fei City, Luo Yu ran out of strength on the road. Her legs went limp. She collapsed by the roadside.
“And why do my thighs hurt so much.”
She slowly crawled to a haystack piled by the road. Gasping, she suddenly remembered things she didn’t want to.
“Between my legs… it really hurts. Like it’s split open.”
“Don’t tell me… when I passed out, that Champion actually…”
The more she thought, the worse it felt. Sweat beaded in an instant.
“No way, right?”
“How am I supposed to face Xiao Shuang like this? How do I marry the princess… What do I do… First check my hymen… then calm down…”
Just as Luo Yu’s mind was about to crack, a carriage stopped in front of her.
On it sat an old, pointy-eared Fairy Kind couple in hats. The old man noticed a ragged little girl lying by the street. She looked pitiful. He pulled the reins and stopped.
“Little miss, need help? You can ride my carriage. It’s cheap.”
Luo Yu was about to touch herself and check. The voice startled her. Her face flushed. She yanked her robe over her thighs. She looked around again and again to make sure no one saw her doing anything bad, then let out a breath.
She looked up at the old man with disdain, then shook her head. “Shoo, shoo. I don’t have money for your cart.”
“I know.” The old man nodded at her dusty face. “You’re from the academy, right? Trade’s pretty open in the Demon Realm now. No money is fine. You can put up something else as collateral.”
He smiled at her. The next second, he noticed her expression twist. She looked furious.
“Bastard!”
Luo Yu tore off her torn boot and hurled it. It smacked the old man right in the face.
It hurt. He covered his face for a long moment, eyes squeezed shut. “What are you doing…”
“Old geezer, you’re that lecherous at your age?”
Luo Yu spat, kicked him to the ground, then planted her bare foot on his face. “My body’s for seducing the princess. And you, old fossil, think you can sleep with me?”
“My bones… ow… No, girl, what are you—”
“Hmph. If I wasn’t rushing for days and out of stamina, would a mighty transmigrator like me lose to some lousy native of this world?” Luo Yu pressed her bare foot on his face, hands on her hips, full of scorn. “Just wait. I only lost to the Champion because I wasn’t ready…”
She pouted, looking down at the old man. The more she thought about her own mess, the madder she got.
“Hmph. Anyway, old perv, you think I’ll pay you with my body just because I’m broke? Keep dreaming…”
Her ruckus was huge. Shoppers along the street stopped.
They all watched Luo Yu beat up an old man in broad daylight.
Soon, Demon Realm officers rushed over. They cuffed the still-rampaging Luo Yu on the spot.
“Eh?” Luo Yu frowned at the shackles on her wrists.
“Get your foot off Uncle He’s face, kid.” A female officer pressed down on Luo Yu’s shoulder. “Or we won’t be polite.”
“Why are you arresting me? He’s the one who harassed me—ow…”
The female officer didn’t want to hear it. She squeezed Luo Yu’s forearm hard.
The girl, with almost no physical strength, cried out. She dropped to one knee. Tears sprang from the shock.
“Uncle He, you okay?” A few more officers pinned Luo Yu’s foot and spent a long moment helping the old man up.
Leaning on them, the old man gulped air. “I almost suffocated. This brat nearly choked me with that stench.”
“Hey!” Luo Yu snapped. “How can you help that old creep? You people in power help the wicked and not the good. Beating him was me enforcing heaven’s will…”
The officers frowned at her arrogant face.
“How do you talk like that? You’re making a scene and still mouthing off.”
They closed in, ready to teach her a lesson. The old man hurriedly raised a hand, blocking them.
“Hey, hey, hey… she’s just a kid. Don’t hit her, everyone.”
“But Uncle He, you’re hurt because of her.” The female officer glared at Luo Yu, who still looked proud even in cuffs.
“Forget it. I’m fine.” The old man’s face was kind. “She’s young. Hot tempers at that age are normal. It was just a misunderstanding…”
After talking the officers down, the old man turned back to Luo Yu and gave her a gentle smile.
“Old creep.” Luo Yu sulked, refusing to look at him. “What.”
“How can a girl be this cocky?” The onlookers were about to blow up.
“Alright, folks, it’s my business. Don’t worry about it.” The old man spread his arms to block a few hotheads, then told the female officer holding Luo Yu’s cuffs:
“Let her go. The girl’s hurt, too. Keep holding her like that and she’ll keel over.”
“Fine. If it weren’t for you, Uncle He, next time she yaps I’ll knock her flat.” The female officer shrugged and unlocked the cuffs.
Freed, Luo Yu felt much better, but she was still unconvinced. She lifted her chin high. “Hmph.”
“Sorry about that, kid.” The old man rubbed his hands and looked at her profile. “When I said collateral, I meant since you’re from the academy, you can pawn your student ID or some ID. Later you bring the money and redeem it. How would I ever mean paying with your body…”
“Just now, you took me for some creep who likes young girls, right? Sigh. You misunderstood.”
“Fine.” Luo Yu finally turned her head and met his eyes, unhappy. “Since you admit you were wrong, I’ll be magnanimous and forgive you.”
“Hey, you shameless brat. You beat me and still think you can ‘forgive’ me? If you weren’t pretty, I’d have smacked you already…”
Luo Yu raised the boot and pointed it at him. “Like I care. I’m in a foul mood today. I’ll hit whoever I want…”
