Even from a distance, the heat radiating off her was intense. Gujiajia must have a serious fever!

"No trouble at all."

Su Qingshan turned to leave.

Gujiajia felt a hollow emptiness in her heart.

The girl left and closed the door.

With Gujiajia burning up like this, she couldn't risk any drafts.

Soon, Su Qingshan returned with a basin of warm water.

Her fair, slender hands dipped a cloth in, wrung it out, and gently wiped Gujiajia's face.

"You have a fever and need cooling down," Su Qingshan explained calmly. "Warm water isn't as refreshing as cold, but it's best for your body."

For someone her age, she really couldn't care for herself. Better to be thorough.

"Mm."

Gujiajia obediently replied without argument.

Su Qingshan raised an eyebrow. Finally, no resistance?

A well-behaved mature woman had such a cute contrast.

Su Qingshan repeated the cooling with the warm towel until the basin water turned cold.

Gujiajia could feel her own breath scorching hot, yet her body felt icy.

Maybe the medicine was kicking in; drowsiness crept over her.

The girl's cool fingers accidentally brushed her cheek—soft, soothing.

Gujiajia reached out and grabbed that hand.

She felt deeply shy inside.

But for some reason, she just wanted to be willful.

Holding Su Qingshan's hand, she pressed it to her face.

"Is my face very hot?"

"Yes."

Not just her face—her hands burned too.

"But I'm so cold."

Gujiajia was delirious, desperately fighting sleep despite her exhaustion.

That goddess-like girl, who'd haunted her thoughts all day, was right here.

A small flame sparked within her, yet the cold remained.

"So cold."

She murmured it unconsciously.

Su Qingshan watched Gujiajia's drooping eyes and nodding head.

Tenderness softened her; she pulled Gujiajia into her arms.

The girl carried a cool, clean scent, yet her embrace radiated warmth.

Gujiajia nearly melted into sleep, instinctively snuggling closer.

All her anxiety vanished. Those slender shoulders felt like a steadfast tree.

How wonderful to have someone to lean on.

Gujiajia smiled.

Her feverish body pressed fully against Su Qingshan's chest, pliant and boneless.

Su Qingshan's expression shifted oddly.

Gujiajia was dressed so thinly!

But holding her like this invited drafts.

She tried to lay her on the bed, tuck her under covers.

Gujiajia clung tight instead.

Her hands gripped Su Qingshan's firmly.

"Warm. Don't let go!"

Fever softened her voice into a husky plea.

A touch of spoiled coquettishness lingered.

She knew this was bad, yet she craved this closeness.

Su Qingshan sighed helplessly.

"But you'll catch a chill. Be good and sleep, okay?"

She was always patient with two kinds: vulnerable kids or elders, and pitiful sick women.

What man didn't adore a clinging woman?

Su Qingshan prided herself on her chivalry.

"No!"

Gujiajia pouted.

She just couldn't bear the girl leaving.

Addicted to that cool scent, that warmth.

Gujiajia felt utterly depraved!

Yet her heart raced beyond control.

Such an evil Dark Dragon—even her breath was wicked!

It had her completely hooked.

Gujiajia nuzzled deeper into the embrace. That soft warmth was heavenly.

She wanted more, wishing they'd stay fused together forever.

A soft sigh drifted from above.

"I really can't deal with you."

Gujiajia smiled.

She'd won!

So gentle, so thoughtful—the girl had done so much. How could she not be captivated?

Even knowing it was the Dark Dragon's trap.

Even aware, she'd leaped right in!

She truly had fallen.

Fooled by the Dark Dragon at last!

She adored this warmth so much.

Gujiajia tucked her cold hand under the covers.

Su Qingshan felt the soft pressure on her arm, the mature woman's slender waist.

The sensation was... nice.

Gujiajia wriggled her hips.

"It tickles! Stop moving!"

She gripped Su Qingshan's hand tighter, tugging firmly.

The soft, firm pressure intensified.

Su Qingshan stilled.

Gujiajia was satisfied.

Actually, slaying wasn't the only way to stop the Dark Dragon.

For justice, she'd sacrifice herself—supervise the Dark Dragon forever, denying her any chance for evil!

Gujiajia felt like a genius.

To supervise properly, they must stay glued together, never apart. That'd block all evil opportunities.

Of course, staying this close would be even better.

The girl's sweet fragrance wrapped around her, deeply calming.

Gujiajia's mind swirled with images: the girl pinning her to a wall, slipping a hand under her skirt before children, warm sunset lips candy-sweetened.

If even her strong will was bewitched, how could others resist?

She'd keep the girl by her side.

Her thoughts slowed, but her resolve hardened.

Instinctively seeking warmth, she curled fully into Su Qingshan's arms.

Su Qingshan didn't notice when she ended up half on the bed.

Only a thin nightgown separated her from Gujiajia's voluptuous curves.

Some primal DNA in her soul stirred.

But seeing Gujiajia's flushed face—and remembering her own female form—Su Qingshan sighed.

She couldn't act, yet the soft body against her felt comforting.

Skin so smooth, tight, elastic.

Su Qingshan let Gujiajia squirm until she settled, still at last.

After a while, Su Qingshan tried to pull her hand free.

The delicate grip suddenly tightened.

Their fingers locked.

Gujiajia yanked the hand closer.

"Don't leave! I'm not asleep yet."

Su Qingshan sighed. How was she still awake?

Her voice slurred with sleep, yet her hold was ironclad.

"I won't go. Sleep now."

She could only coax her.

Reasoning with a sick, sleepy person? Impossible.

The grip weakened slowly, but Su Qingshan stayed put.

She'd tried moving before—each shift only tightened the hold.

Listening to steady breaths, Su Qingshan sighed again.

Gujiajia had fallen asleep unknowingly, yet still clung on.

Such bittersweet torture.
