With a loud bang, Gelo was sent flying.
The Shadow Guards fighting the giant monster snapped their gaze to their master.
They started to move toward him.
But the beast seized that split-second distraction.
Fists and feet struck hard, knocking down every remaining guard.
"ROAR!!!" The giant monster bellowed, as if claiming victory.
"AHHH!!!" A scream pierced the air.
"Huh? That voice sounds familiar," Tran muttered, whirling toward the source.
Alice stood on the second floor, staring blankly at the huge monster.
The beast locked eyes with her for a second...
Then it leaped up without hesitation.
Its gaping maw lunged for Alice.
But an invisible force slammed the monster sideways.
When it steadied itself, Alice was downstairs.
Beside her stood a middle-aged woman.
"Shiniang! What took you so long?" Tran yelled.
They’d agreed she’d enter once he caused chaos.
Why now? He’d nearly died!
"Haha, little Tran! I never knew you had such hidden depths!" Shiniang laughed.
"You even beat old Bruce! I’ve been killing Leit Family members.
Thanks for the distraction."
"Didn’t we agree to find Alice first, then take revenge?" Tran shot back.
"Same thing. Alice, where were you? We searched everywhere!" Shiniang complained.
"I checked all guard rooms!"
"Huh?" Alice blinked in confusion.
"I’ve been in my bedroom. They didn’t imprison me—they knew I couldn’t escape.
I heard noise and came out, and then..."
Tran and Shiniang’s faces darkened with exasperation.
They’d braved deadly zones.
Yet Alice was safe in her room...
How outrageous!
As they talked, the beast saw itself ignored.
It pounded its chest in rage.
Then it sprang above them.
Shiniang looked up and roared.
The sound wave blasted the monster away.
"Shiniang, you’re amazing! It’s so weak against you!" Tran gaped, starry-eyed.
"Don’t stare. That roar was my absolute limit," Shiniang panted.
"You believe me?"
"Huh?" Tran and Alice exchanged confused glances.
"My Superpower uses sound waves. Volume equals strength.
I meant to kill it—but it only got scratches," Shiniang explained.
She grabbed their arms. "This place is unsafe. Run!"
The monster’s scales flared angrily.
Scarlet eyes glowed red.
It was the king of demonic beasts—the Evil Soul!
How dare ants wound it?
With powerful hind legs, it shot forward like a cannonball.
"You two go! I’ll hold it!" Shiniang spun and unleashed sound waves.
But the Evil Soul ignored them, charging at her.
"Domain activation! Sound Domain!"
Inside the field, the beast clutched its head.
It collapsed, writhing in pain.
"Sound Knot!" Shiniang gestured sharply.
Visible waves crushed down on the Evil Soul.
It screamed horribly under the pressure.
"This should finish it," Tran and Alice murmured, still watching.
"Why haven’t you left?!" Shiniang gritted her teeth, sweating heavily.
"This monster isn’t truly hurt! I’m burning out my Superpower!
But... it’s too late to run now..."
She collapsed.
"What?! She’s out after seconds?" Tran thought.
SS Rank fighters should annihilate anything instantly!
How could two skills drain her?
He’d forgotten he’d just beaten quasi-SS Rank Bruce...
This Evil Soul was grown from another world’s seed.
Years of cultivation made it terrifyingly strong.
Earlier fights crowned the true king.
Mere S Rank Superpowers couldn’t scratch it...
Now, the Evil Soul was pure nightmare fuel...
"ROAR!!" It rose furiously.
Spotting unconscious Shiniang, it lunged.
But a fierce kick met it.
"Darn it! You exhausted Shiniang and dare attack her?
Time to teach you manners!" Tran charged, fist raised.
The Evil Soul was baffled.
How could this insect repel it?
Its dull mind didn’t ponder long.
It met Tran’s punch head-on.
A giant fist clashed with a tiny one.
The result was clear—Tran’s blow shattered finger bones.
It crushed deep into the hand, breaking wrist and arm bones.
The beast howled in agony.
Tran didn’t care. Its ugly face had scared him earlier.
Now sensing weak strength, he decided to beat it senseless.
Punch after punch rained down.
The Evil Soul, covered in wounds, retreated desperately.
It launched into the air to escape.
But as it cleared the Leit Family’s front yard, yellow light engulfed it.
The beam slammed it hard to the ground.
Already injured, this was the final blow.
"What? Why isn’t it running?" Tran chased out, startled.
He saw the monster pinned on the dirt.
......
"Ada, the demonic energy here is thick. Contact headquarters for backup," a suited man said to the short-haired girl beside him.
She wore sleek gloves and a tight outfit.
"Yes, teacher. What about this Evil Soul?" Ada asked while texting.
"Contain it first. Wait for headquarters’ team," he ordered.
"Understood!"
They approached the subdued beast.
Then they spotted Tran, who’d just run out.
Ada’s eyes widened in shock.
"You?"
