After letting go of his hair, Tran and Long Yi finalized their plan. It wasn’t complicated: distract the bomber, then—before the poker woman noticed—Long Yi would close in and unleash a mental shockwave. With his S Rank power, the bomber would be incapacitated instantly, reduced to a vegetative state even if not dead.

“Well, I’m off. Wish me luck…” Tran muttered uncertainly.

“Don’t worry. If things go south, I’ll minimize your injuries,” Long Yi said, his blood-red eyes locked on Tran, radiating sincerity.

“…” Tran stayed silent, words failing him.

Tran slowly approached the bomber, who was gleefully watching people writhe in the heat. He savored it like twisted art—a clear psychopath. Tran’s palms grew clammy with fear for his safety.

“Big brother, I’m so hot! Please stop this!” Tran squeaked in a high-pitched whisper. He stood beside the bomber now, face melting with exaggerated distress. Truthfully, he felt only slightly warm. A gray current surged through his body, unknown to him…

“Oh? Poor little sister…” The bomber glanced at Tran dismissively at first. But a closer look—silky long hair, fair skin, a soft seductive voice—made him change his mind.

“Hehehe, sweetie, the lounge back there’s cool as ice. Come, big brother’ll take you to chill,” the bomber leered, slinging an arm around Tran’s shoulders. At sixteen, Tran stood just 1.7 meters tall and slim. The embrace felt oddly satisfying to the bomber…

“Uh… damn! He’s not playing fair! Shouldn’t he tease me first? Why rush straight to it!” Tran’s mind screamed. Following him meant exposure. What if he had weird fetishes…? Hell, better let the plane explode!

“Haha, big brother, I’ll stay here. Really…” After agonizing hesitation, Tran chose retreat. Faced with saving everyone or preserving his chastity, he picked the latter…

But leaving wasn’t his call. A pretty “girl” like this was rare—perfect boredom relief.

“Don’t overdo it…” the woman in protective gear warned. The bomber just smirked at her.

Without warning, he yanked Tran toward the lounge. Rage flared in Tran. As the bomber grabbed his left wrist, Tran twisted free and slammed a heavy punch into his face.

The bomber noticed but didn’t flinch. His [Heat Explosion] Superpower let him detonate anything above 70°C. His sweat formed superheated steam—a shield against attacks. Unreasonable? Sure. But it was a Superpower!

“Boom!” Steam exploded. No severed limbs appeared—only gray smoke. It parted instantly, revealing a fist filling his vision.

“Impossible!” The bomber choked out the word before crashing into the cabin wall.

“What’s your ability? Water-type? No way—even water-types buckle in my heat domain!” Blood streamed from his nose as fury consumed him.

“I don’t know my power! But right now, I’ll beat you senseless! You dared eye my ass!” Tran roared, swinging wild punches. The bomber crumpled. His defenses crumbled uselessly against Tran’s assault.

Dozens of playing cards suddenly flew in, binding Tran’s hands.

“What’s wrong? Beaten by a girl?” his female partner snapped, noticing the chaos.

“Damn it, she’s no girl—she’s a cross-dresser!” The bomber scrambled up. “Watch me blow his ass sky-high!” He hurled a flat metal disc at Tran’s rear.

Long Yi flashed beside the bomber—he’d arrived earlier, but now was perfect. A mental shockwave struck the bomber’s head. He collapsed instantly. The metal disc, primed to explode, tumbled to Tran’s feet as Long Yi appeared.

A deafening blast erupted. Passengers felt the heat vanish, replaced by an icy chill. Where Tran stood—a gaping hole! Seatbelts saved everyone from being swept away. Metal-type ability users sealed the breach fast. Without the bomber’s threat, the B Rank woman fell in seconds…

“I forgot something…” Long Yi scanned the cabin after securing safety. “Tran! Where is he!?”

Meanwhile, Tran savored high-altitude freefall. He’d always loved weightlessness—now he got his fill!

“I—damn it—Uncle Long Yi, you set me up!” Plummeting from ten thousand meters, the air tore at his skin. Agony replaced thrill.

“This is it!” He glimpsed an island below. Even ocean wouldn’t save him from this height…

“What now? I have that [World Annihilation] power, right? Activate!” Desperation clawed at him. An overpowered ability couldn’t stop his death…

At five hundred meters, physics promised instant impact. Yet in that sliver of time, memories flooded back.

……

“Brother Tran, what… what is that?” A little girl hid behind a young boy. Before them loomed a three-meter monster.

“Don’t… don’t fear. Brother will protect you!”

“But you’re shaking too…”

“Nonsense—I’m thrilled! Time to prove my martial arts! I’m the best of our generation!” Confidence lit the boy’s face.

He charged, clashing with the beast…

An hour later…

“Brother Tran, you’re amazing!” The girl cheered, watching him—battered but triumphant—stand atop the fallen monster.

“Hahaha! I told you—I’m the strongest! The strongest protects his sister! Little Rain, believe me!”

“Mhm!”

The strongest… what good was strength? It only hurt the one he loved most. Falling, Tran remembered again…

“Brother, don’t grieve. It’s not your fault… The family needed your power awakened—to protect them. My sacrifice is worth it! Live on…”

“Little Rain… Little Rain!”

“I’ve wallowed long enough. I won’t die yet… Little Rain told me to live!”

Resolve hardened. Power surged under his control. Instinctively, Tran slapped the ground. Two gray tornadoes spiraled out, slowing his fall.

He landed softly on solid earth.

“Little Rain, I’ve been idle seven years… sealed my powers, exiled. Ultimate strength only brings ruin. So I’ll stay a nobody—silently guarding everyone.” He scanned his surroundings.

Looking up, the sun dimmed.

“An eclipse?”

Squinting, Tran froze. A massive head—resembling a Tyrannosaurus rex—blocked the light…
