The Uler Empire, an incredibly powerful realm.

Centuries ago, Emperor Uler conquered the vast Zim Continent. He unified scattered nations and various tribes of different races.

Under his rule, cities of all sizes sprang up even in the icy north, like Ilan.

He quelled the wars across the land and enriched the people. For these deeds, Emperor Uler is still worshipped and praised today.

Every time I read Uler Empire’s history, I can’t help but marvel at his bravery and wisdom.

“When will I recover…”

My lower limbs felt nothing at all. A dangerous thought even crept in: “Would I feel anything if I slashed them hard with a knife?”

Three years ago, I acted heroically in an accident and got run over by a carriage. My life was spared, but I was left paralyzed from the waist down.

Thinking of this, I couldn’t help wondering if it was worth it…

On the city streets.

A noble with a hideous face sat in his carriage, sneering at a fallen pauper. He issued a cruel command: “Ignore this scum. Just run him over.”

The coachman whipped the horses without hesitation.

I closed my eyes, ending this memory.

Even if it happened a hundred times, I’d probably do the same.

Though I’m a noble too, I despise those rotten nobles in the imperial capital, Tren.

Time stole the glory, leaving only decay.

The king is now a mere figurehead. Real power lies with those disgusting traitors and nobles.

The nation reeks of rot.

I looked out the window. The streets had lost their former bustle. People’s faces were pale, and beggars had silently multiplied.

My gut told me this empire would collapse. Like the inevitable cycle great nations face in another world.

Ah, I forgot to mention—I’m from another world. Yeah, it’s called Earth.
