Sometimes I get the itch to try different kinds of stories. So while updating this book, I’ve also been spending some effort on new settings, sketching out different worlds.

Looking back from when I started this book till now, just from the experience of walking this road, I really feel that sticking with a single book to the end is no easy feat.

Since I don’t have the energy to fully plan out a brand‑new novel all at once, these sudden bursts of inspiration can only turn into a few rough opening chapters under my author page, before I’m done updating this one.

They say the soul of a light novel lies in its first fifty thousand words, right? Then please tell me: do the openings of these two stories hook you? And what direction would you like to see their plots take in the future?

Let’s treat this as a bit of audience research.

All I want is to create stories that can heal the heart and truly resonate with readers.

“Yokai Index”

Summary: A story between a boy who loves drawing yokai and a spirit‑banishing girl. It’s a slice‑of‑life battle healing type. The boy has lived surrounded by yokai for so long that he’s terrified of them. He’s also scared of mistaking yokai for humans, so he shuts down his own feelings and refuses to interact with people. After he meets the exorcist girl, he finally realizes yokai aren’t as frightening as he imagined—they’re gentle spirits, warm enough to soothe a person’s heart.

“SPG Ideal Kingdom”

To make a god grant a certain wish of his, a boy fights hard in another world the god created, modeled after his favorite single‑player game, “Ideal Kingdom.” But after losing hope of ever clearing the game, he chooses to end his own life. Unexpectedly, he meets a warm, adorable NPC girl, and sets off on an adventure with her. Step by step, he discovers that this world isn’t a cold game made of data at all, but a truly new, real world.
