Deep within the Peach Grove woods, Glasses Bro finally spotted Winter Leaf behind a tree.

"What are you doing following me, you dead weight?" Winter Leaf glared at him, displeased.

"I scattered glasses all over the forest," Glasses Bro said. "They’ll help you soon."

"Who needs help from a dead weight like you?" Winter Leaf snapped, ungrateful. "I planned to handle that Evolution Corporation guy. But now we’re targeted by someone worse. Sister Xue’er’s team must fend for themselves."

She leaped toward a direction. Two light beams whizzed past her sides—from different angles.

"Two attackers?" Glasses Bro exclaimed, shocked.

"Only one enemy! Watch out!!" Winter Leaf shouted.

Hearing "watch out," Glasses Bro vanished instantly. He reappeared on a peach tree. Dozens of light beams rose from the grove, curving mid-air to strike one spot—where he and Winter Leaf had stood.

A thick ice pillar shot up there. But under the barrage, it crumbled instantly.

"What now? Winter Leaf can’t hold out much longer," Glasses Bro muttered anxiously, staring that way.

*When you teleport, your clothes move with you. Why not take someone else?* A voice echoed in his mind.

"Right!" Glasses Bro didn’t question it. He dashed toward Winter Leaf. His position-swap glasses were already destroyed.

Light beams kept converging on that spot.

When Glasses Bro reached her, Winter Leaf looked ragged. She held an ice shield, dodging constantly. Unavoidable shots she blocked. But her defense neared its limit. Hundreds of beams lit up the grove’s sky.

Winter Leaf spotted him running. "Why are you back?! Ah! What are you doing?!"

Before her astonished eyes, Glasses Bro hugged her. They vanished. Countless beams slammed where they’d been.

They reappeared under a tree—in the same awkward takedown pose as their first meeting.

"Get off me!" Winter Leaf kicked his stomach, flipping him over.

"Is this how you thank your savior?" Glasses Bro groaned.

"I didn’t ask for saving," Winter Leaf retorted. "We must find Hunter’s real body."

"Huh? Weren’t there ambushes everywhere?" Glasses Bro asked.

"You’re from H City!" Winter Leaf eyed him like an idiot. "This attack style? Definitely H City’s A Rank Hero, Hunter."

"What? Hunter’s been attacking us?" Glasses Bro gasped.

"Exactly," Winter Leaf nodded. "Head-on, I’d crush him. But this grove’s perfect for hiding. Terrible for us."

"So how do his attacks work?"

"Hunter’s power is ‘Hunter’—a rare composite ability," Winter Leaf explained. "Here, he has an omniscient view and bends bullet trajectories."

"So he just hides and fires wildly?" Glasses Bro asked, stunned.

Winter Leaf nodded.

Glasses Bro grabbed her again. They vanished. Dozens of beams rained down where they’d stood.

"This omniscient view is too overpowered! He found us again!" Glasses Bro cursed. Then—kick to the gut.

"Doing this on purpose? Every teleport ends like this. Or do you like it?" Winter Leaf yelled after kicking him off.

"Do you think I enjoy getting kicked post-teleport?" Glasses Bro snapped. "This isn’t sustainable!!"

"I know. No scouting skills—we stall. Hope Sister Xue’er wins. If she fails, we retreat," Winter Leaf said.

"Unacceptable!! Lin Jie and Xiao Zhan are here. Abandon teammates?!" Glasses Bro protested.

"Got a better plan?" Winter Leaf challenged.

"No! But I won’t leave," Glasses Bro declared.

*Brother, use my power!* The voice echoed in his mind.

"Who are you?" Glasses Bro finally asked.

"What’s wrong?" Winter Leaf frowned beside him.

"Can’t you hear that voice?" Glasses Bro pressed.

"Are you nuts? Only us two here," Winter Leaf replied.

*Don’t panic. Only you hear me,* the voice whispered.

"Who exactly are you?" Glasses Bro demanded.

*I’m your eyes! The glasses on your nose!*

"My glasses? Impossible! They’ve no weird functions!" Glasses Bro argued.

*Aren’t you curious? Why can you only swap positions with glasses?*

"Who knows."

*Your true power isn’t teleportation,* the voice revealed.

"Not teleportation? Then what?" Glasses Bro gasped.

*You’re a man with the Soul of Glasses!*

"Soul of Glasses? What nonsense is this?"

*That’s why people remember your glasses, not your face. You’re the world’s only Soul of Glasses bearer. One day, you’ll be the Glasses King,* the voice declared firmly.

"Sounds epic. Feels lame," Glasses Bro sighed.

*Your real power: talk to glasses. Unlock their latent potential.*

"Unlock glasses’ potential?!" Glasses Bro gaped.

*Yes. Use me now. I’ll counter him.*

"How?"

*I’ll guide you. I’m the Sage Glasses—made to mentor the future Glasses King,* the voice said.

...

Moments later, Glasses Bro opened his eyes. His glasses had transformed. Data streams flowed before him.

"Attack in three seconds..." He turned to Winter Leaf.

"What now?" Winter Leaf asked. He’d muttered for ages, then suddenly stared?

No time to react—Glasses Bro hugged her. They vanished again.

This time, as Winter Leaf readied a kick, Glasses Bro stood up. He shushed her, pointed, and mimed an attack.

Annoyed but compliant, Winter Leaf summoned an ice spear. It flew toward his target.

The spear pierced peach trees—then exploded mid-air, hitting an invisible barrier.

A human-shaped ice sculpture appeared. Dozens of laser sniper rifles materialized around it.

"Hit!" Winter Leaf ran to it. "How’d you find him?"

"Not me. The Sage Glasses’ power," Glasses Bro said proudly, tapping his spectacles. "They calculated Hunter’s ballistic patterns and deduced his position."

Only then did Winter Leaf notice his changed glasses.

"Why not use this earlier?!" she fumed. "Enjoy watching me struggle before showing off? You four-eyed pervert!"

"I just discovered it—during my muttering," Glasses Bro explained.

"Ability evolved?" Winter Leaf calmed.

"Thanks to this, I pinpointed him," Glasses Bro grinned.

"Calculated this?" A figure materialized beside Glasses Bro. A fist smashed his face—he flew backward.

"Hunter!" Winter Leaf gasped.

"Think I’d leave my real body unguarded?" Hunter sneered at her. "That ice? Just bait from my decoy power."

"Really?" Winter Leaf smirked. "But you revealed yourself. Confident, huh?"

Frost surged around her.

"Prey’s trapped. Why fear?" Hunter declared.

As he spoke, a strange device appeared under Winter Leaf’s feet.

"X Field!" she exclaimed.
