Thinking this, I couldn't help but glance at the girl before me again.
She wore oversized casual clothes. For a seventeen-year-old, her bust was quite developed. Yet, her subtle expressions seemed unintentionally flirtatious—a hint of coquettishness aside, she looked like any ordinary girl.
"Um... I don't think I've seen you before?" I blinked, looking at her.
"Yeah," the girl nodded slightly. "I just moved in yesterday. We'll be neighbors now. My name is Su Chixun, but call me Chixun."
"I'm Amelia," I said to the unusually lively Chixun.
"But... Chixun? That name... Are you Japanese?" I tilted my head, asking her.
"Nope, just a bit of family connection," Chixun grinned. "Su is my surname here, Chixun is my given name. But I prefer being called just Chixun."
"Is that so?" I raised an eyebrow slightly, about to say more when the elevator doors opened.
"Heh, looks like we really are neighbors—right across the hall." Since I was closest to the doors, I stepped out first and fumbled for my keys to open my door. Then Chixun's voice rang out again.
Hearing her, I instinctively turned back. Chixun stood before another door. If I remembered right, that was also a rental unit—the previous tenants moved out over a week ago. With a university nearby, many students rent here. The timing made sense.
"Ah, so we are neighbors," I said to Su Chixun, raising an eyebrow slightly.
"Hehe, looking forward to your guidance," Chixun chuckled, unlocking her door and stepping inside.
"Bye~ Talk later~"
"Mm." I nodded slightly in response. Chixun closed the door, and the silver-gray-haired girl vanished from my sight.
"...She feels a bit odd, but nothing actually strange." After the door closed, I stood at my doorway for a moment. After thinking hard, I found nothing suspicious. Shaking my head, I unlocked my door.
Entering the apartment, I closed the door behind me. Placing the takeout on the table, I noticed the note under the table hadn't been touched. Then I tiptoed back to my room, cracking the door open slightly to peek inside.
Seeing Lu still sound asleep on my bed, I let out a sigh of relief.
