The Corrupted Lady Angel Armor—I finally have it in my hands!
"Hmph. Beyond its formidable defense and magic, this armor holds an unbelievable secret ability—one even Sulia doesn’t know! When worn by another, the armored parts share bodily sensations between the original owner and the current wearer. The effect lasts a full day."
Once my emotions settled, a smug smirk curled at the corner of my lips.
Originally, I’d planned to have one of Bessdaitiel’s maids wear this armor. But Sulia proved unexpectedly stubborn, forcing me to don it myself. A minor hiccup—nothing that would derail my scheme.
I gave myself a quick wipe-down with a towel, fixed my hair, then threw on a heavy black cloak to hide this humiliating armor. Turning, I strode toward the War Council Hall.
"My apologies, Seth. I shouldn’t have snapped at you earlier." I studied the ancient map of the Undercity’s second floor spread across the council table.
"Your Highness’s words shame this old man. It was my own foolishness and rashness. Your wisdom and insight have grown so sharply lately—I struggle to keep pace." Seth remained as composed and respectful as ever.
Ignoring his flattery, I pointed to a hidden chamber on the second floor. "We’ll set it here."
"Understood. I’ll relay the order to Lyox immediately."
Within hours, the Undercity seemed unchanged on the surface—but beneath, tectonic shifts were underway.
All orchestrated by me—the brilliant, adorable Princess Kuroti!
Wrapped in my thick black cloak, I sat in the council chamber’s wide chair. Seth, Bessdaitiel, Sulia, and others watched alongside me as crystal balls displayed live footage—once again provided by Sulia’s Bloodshadow Bats.
After entering the second floor, the Temple Knights began clearing surveillance Eyes along their path. Little did they know Bloodshadow Bats still watched from the shadows!
"Your Highness," Bessdaitiel reported, "the decoy Treasure Rats from the maids’ division have been released!"
"Mm." I sipped tea elegantly, watching the unfolding scene with calm certainty. Everything proceeded exactly as planned.
Bessdaitiel continued her battlefield commentary.
"Your Highness! A human female warrior spotted the Treasure Rat!"
"She killed it and claimed its treasure! They’ve found the fake map we planted!"
I caught sight of that scantily clad green-armored brunette warrior—Senior Tianlin’s assistant, Loyning—discovering the map. A satisfied smile touched my lips. Perfect. The script was playing out flawlessly.
Under our watchful eyes, Loyning rushed to report to Senior Tianlin. A war council convened. Though Senior Tianlin hesitated to stray from their mission, most knights couldn’t resist the lure of treasure.
In the end, she relented. They’d hunt the second floor’s hoard first.
What followed was a fierce battle.
The Skeleton King had stationed waves of undead guards around the treasure vault. The closer they got, the fiercer the resistance grew.
This only convinced the Temple Knights a legendary treasure truly lay within.
And they weren’t entirely wrong.
The Lady Angel Armor was, after all, the finest knightly armor for women beneath the Divine Artifacts themselves.
Temple Knights clashed furiously with skeleton soldiers and archers. But the human force was overwhelming—especially with Tianlin Feiyin anchoring their center. Her sword flashed with lethal speed, her faith-based light arrays constantly bolstering her allies’ strength.
Though the battle raged, not a single human fell. Skeletons crumbled by the dozens.
Yet I found the spectacle utterly dull.
"Mm. I’ll nap." I left the council hall for the adjacent rest chamber.
When they woke me, the Temple Knights had finally fought their way to the treasure vault’s entrance.
After the last few skeletons were smashed by burly knights, the humans paid the price of two warriors and one ranger. Exhausted, low on magic and arrows, they finally breached the vault. (The skeletons’ casualties numbered hundreds of times higher.)
As the stone door groaned open, I slipped away from the council chamber’s viewing post.
"TREASURE!!! HAHAHAHA!!!" The knights charged in—then froze, staring at the vast, ancient, utterly empty chamber.
"Humans," I called out, cloaked in heavy black fabric and standing alone at the center of the barren vault, "welcome to my Undercity."
Paladins, warriors, archers, and mages flooded in, surrounding me but keeping their distance. No one moved.
Encountering such a delicate girl in this death trap felt deeply unnatural—and they’d all heard the legends.
Beyond the stone doorway, a tall, graceful figure stepped into view.
Silhouetted against the light, her goddess-like presence still radiated undeniable allure.
Senior Tianlin.
This was my first meeting with her as the Dark Princess.
And in every sense, the first time she truly saw me.
Our eyes met in that instant.
