Chapter 5: My Strategy at the War Counci
update icon Updated at 2025/12/10 17:30:39

Seeing the Dungeon Lord’s massive size, I understood why Seth hadn’t summoned them in the council hall—he didn’t want to wreck my palace.

A crystal ball projection flared to life in the arena’s center.

I sat perched on the Fat Pig Butcher’s shoulders.

Honestly, I really didn’t want to get close to this ugly monster. But he worshipped me too much, overwhelmed with gratitude, and kept begging. Plus, standing on flat ground made me look too short—utterly lacking authority!

Well, whatever. I was tired anyway, and the arena had no chairs. Hmph, I’d just sit like this.

In the projection, the Temple Knights squad was still dawdling on the first floor.

I saw them huddled in a circle, resting by a campfire.

The female knight in white metal armor—Tianlin Feiyan Senior Sister—sat among them, chatting and laughing with nearby knights.

For some reason, I felt annoyed whenever Senior Sister Tianlin spoke to any guy.

Back when I was a boy, I’d never been this jealous. Maybe it was because I had no right to be upset then. But now, Fayin was on my turf. I had plenty of powerful underlings. Her fate was under my control too. Hmph, so I felt entitled.

“Hmph! Aren’t they supposed to be celibate? Why are those male knights laughing at her words? And covering her mouth—acting all ladylike? Doesn’t she know that just tempts men more?!” I crossed my arms, legs casually crossed, and pointed accusingly.

Silence fell over the arena. No one responded.

The huge Dungeon Lord blinked its six small green eyes at me. Even with all six, it seemed utterly unable to grasp my words.

“Huh?” I glanced around. “Hehe, hoho… stop staring. I’m seriously discussing tactics! Right, Buqu?”

“Y-yes, Princess! The Princess is right! Everything the Princess says is right!” Buqu roared blindly.

“Right about what? Were you even listening? Then tell me your tactic for this.”

“The Princess wants to read their expressions for weaknesses! Like making knights jealous over that big-chested woman—causing infighting to shatter this ‘impregnable’ knight squad from within!”

I looked down at Buqu, surprised. His nonsense actually sounded somewhat reasonable.

“Hehe, Little Princess Kuroti,” Sulia said, gazing at Senior Sister Tianlin’s image. “Humans differ from us. They’re reserved about romance. These Temple Knights are devout believers, baptized since childhood for lifelong celibacy. Even with inner desires, they’d never show them—or let it break their unity!”

“Tsk, all men are the same scum! They just lack a trigger to lose their minds!” I struck a pose, radiating confidence—I truly knew men well.

“Oh? What’s the Princess’s brilliant plan?” Sulia asked, intrigued.

“Sulia. Since you asked, I need a favor.”

“Huh? What?” Sulia blushed, instinctively covering her eye-catching chest. Her sudden purity clashed with her appearance. “You… want me to seduce those lowly humans!?”

Her nervousness surprised me. I’d thought her a promiscuous vampire. Women really can’t be judged by looks—pure exteriors hide impurity, and vice versa.

Of course, I’d never use Sulia to seduce knights. Yet her strong aversion pleased me somehow. “You misunderstood. How could I ask the noble Vampire Queen to do something so despicable? I just want to borrow that treasure you keep on the fifth floor.”

“Treasure?”

“Exactly,” my eyes gleamed with “wisdom.” “That legendary armor—the Armor of the Fallen Lady Angel.”
