"Hey! What are you doing? You killed the girl!" Director Huang grabbed the lawyer and demanded.

"I... I was aiming for that kid," the lawyer stammered, hands trembling.

"I told you from the start you couldn’t aim worth shit, yet you insisted on taking the gun. Now you’ve wounded the girl. Damn it, I thought I’d get some fun out of this!" Director Huang snatched the pistol away and cursed.

"Relax, isn’t there an even prettier one?" a young man chimed in, fawning.

"Hey! Kid, what’s your problem? Looking for death? Send that nurse girl over here! Let us have some fun, and I’ll spare your lives!" Director Huang raised the pistol at Li Xiaobai, grinning lecherously.

I ignored them and kept pressing on Moxiaoi’s wound.

But Xiaobai slowly stood up, backlit by the light. His face was pitch-black in shadow, yet a trace of scarlet flickered within...

He turned.

"Hey... kid, what’s wrong with your eyes?" the young man asked uneasily.

Xiaobai didn’t respond. The Black Claw Dagger spun steadily in his hand as he walked toward them, step by deliberate step.

"Hey! Stop right there, kid!"

Xiaobai ignored him, moving like a zombie lost in his own world.

"Stop! Kid!"

"Freeze! I’m shooting!" Director Huang yelled in panic, his voice shaky.

"I should’ve killed you all from the start. Killed you without hesitation..."

He lifted his head slowly, revealing a chilling, humorless smile. His expression was pure terror—especially those glowing scarlet snake-like pupils. They knew for certain this wasn’t human.

"You!" Cowardly Director Huang flinched hard, raising the pistol and firing at Xiaobai.

*Bang!*

"Ahh!" Though the shot missed me, the blast startled me. I turned. "Xiaobai?"

"Huh?!" Director Huang yelped too—he’d missed completely, and the boy had vanished instantly.

"I’m here." A cold voice came from above.

"What the hell are you?!" All three jumped, looking up. Another shock hit them: the boy hung from the ceiling by a black tail sprouting from his back, his scarlet pupils flashing.

"Monster!" Director Huang aimed the pistol.

"You all deserve to die!" Xiaobai roared, leaping down with the Black Claw Dagger.

*Crack!*

"Ahh! Aaah!" The disgusting middle-aged man screamed.

The pistol clattered to the floor. Xiaobai drove the Black Claw Dagger into Director Huang’s fat shoulder. He gripped the man’s wrist with one hand, the dagger hilt with the other, and twisted in opposite directions. With brutal force, he snapped the arm clean off.

Xiaobai yanked hard, tearing the entire limb away, and tossed it aside.

Blood splattered across his face, but he didn’t stop. He kicked Director Huang’s knee.

"Aaaaaah!"

The leg bent backward at a 90-degree angle, bone jutting out. Off-balance, the obese man crashed to the ground, groaning and trembling in agony.

Xiaobai glanced coldly at him. After half-killing him, he didn’t finish the job. Instead, he turned his icy stare to the lawyer and the young man.

They shivered uncontrollably.

"Aaaah!" The young man broke first, spinning to flee.

"I’ll make your death quick."

Black Spider Spikes shot from Xiaobai’s back, impaling the young man’s heart. Xiaobai kicked the corpse away, pulled out the spikes, and faced the lawyer.

"As for you... I won’t let you die easily..."

"You... spare me..." the lawyer begged.

"Let’s see which hand fired the gun. This one?"

Xiaobai smiled faintly. His dagger hand flickered—a flash of blood—and the lawyer’s entire arm lay severed on the floor.

"Ahh!" The lawyer shrieked.

Unimaginable: a small dagger had sliced through flesh and bone cleanly.

"Aaah! Aaah!" He collapsed, clutching the stump, wailing in pain.

Xiaobai ignored him. He grabbed the lawyer’s neck, forced him upright, and slammed him against the wall. "You were so bold earlier? Had a gun? Shot at my friend?"

He drove a knee hard into the lawyer’s groin.

"Aaah!" A soul-rending scream.

"Still want to have fun?" He glared at the lawyer, then at the fat man writhing on the floor. Another brutal knee strike landed.

"... " The lawyer’s crotch soaked red, his face twisted—but he’d already fainted from pain.

"Hey~ Hey, I’m not done playing yet~"

He laughed, gripping the neck, utterly mad, utterly unhinged.

A slaughter without mercy...

"What next?"

"Xiaobai! Xiaobai! Xiaobai!" I screamed repeatedly.

"Heh~" He ignored me, still lost in his frenzy, plotting how to torture the two.

"Xiaobai! Xiaobai! Xiaobai!" I kept shouting.

"Aaah!"

His expression froze. He roared, snapping back to reality. He turned, dazed. "Donghui?"

"Leave them! Moxiaoi’s dying! Come quick!" I sobbed, my hands slick with her blood, her body growing colder.

"... Understood." He replied weakly, sounding on the verge of collapse.

*Crack!*

Xiaobai twisted the lawyer’s neck, snapped it clean. He hurled the corpse aside, snatched the pistol, and aimed at Director Huang’s head.

"Please, don’t—"

*Bang!* His head exploded like a watermelon.

Done in seconds, he sprinted to us.

Xiaobai knelt beside us.

Moxiaoi lay conscious on the floor, sweating coldly, face ashen, lips quivering. Her awakening was clearly a last flare of life.

"We must remove the bullet. Blood won’t stop without it. Then disinfect and stitch the wound," Xiaobai said, suddenly calm and focused.

"Remove the bullet? How?" I cried desperately.

"I’ll extract it. You hold her down and give her something to bite!"

"Huh?"

"If you want her alive, hold her NOW! Give her something to bite!" he barked.

"Okay, okay." Though shouted at, I felt no anger. I pinned Moxiaoi down with one hand, shoved the other into her mouth—no proper item, so I’d endure the pain.

He pulled open Moxiaoi’s clothes, exposing the abdominal wound. His eyes locked on the gunshot, unblinking.

"Xiaobai? How will you get the bullet?" I asked, voice trembling with tears.

"Quiet..."

I fell silent, holding Moxiaoi still.

Suddenly, Xiaobai raised his right hand and plunged two fingers deep into Moxiaoi’s wound.

"... " My arm jolted in pain.

Moxiaoi’s eyes flew wide. She bit down hard on my arm from the agony. I startled but stayed quiet.

In the next instant, Xiaobai withdrew his fingers—clutching a bullet between them.

I stared, forgetting the bite. Shocked!

"Disinfect, stop bleeding, close the wound..." he muttered, tossing the bullet aside. He spotted a water bottle near me. "What’s this?"

"Uh... probably water?"

He grabbed it, sniffed, and his eyes lit up. Alcohol!

"Alcohol! Good enough for disinfection. But no needle or thread to stitch..." He poured it over Moxiaoi’s wound while talking to himself.

"What do we do then?"

He didn’t answer. Silently, he lit a lighter. "Make her bite harder..."

"Huh? What are you doing?"

Still no reply. He ignited the alcohol on Moxiaoi’s wound.

"Mmm! Mmm~ Mmmmm!" Moxiaoi screamed, biting my arm until it bled.

Xiaobai watched the flames burn for a moment before smothering them. He wrapped the wound tightly with bandages. The gunshot was charred shut, bleeding stopped.

Moxiaoi had fainted from the pain.
