Mimic: Non-human entities, known or unknown, hiding within human society with human appearances.

Mutation Point: A small, mutated body part on a Mimic.

Mimics are broadly divided into three types: Primordials, Neos, and Beast Kins.

Primordial: The most ancient descendants of legendary monsters, native Mimics with the strongest bloodlines—like vampire, werewolf, or Undead lineages. Primordials usually live in hidden family clans within cities. Some wield significant power and influence there.

The Five Great Primordials: The five native races dominating Dongchuan Guang City:

- Nightingale: Ruler of the Southern District, the mighty Nightingale Clan.

- Wristblade: Unknown. Details pending.

- Jiang Huang: Unknown. Details pending.

- Di Zang: Unknown. Details pending.

- Domineering Eye: Unknown. Details pending.

Neo: Former humans transformed into new Mimics by accepting Primordial bloodlines. Neos typically serve Primordials as servants. Since Primordial families stay deeply hidden, Neos handle most public tasks.

Beast Kin: Specifically refers to Mimics who escaped from the hidden Mimic Research Center at Haido Psychiatric Hospital in Dongchuan Guang City. Most were originally homeless or rootless people, altered by human scientists. They carry beast-like genes, hence the name Beast Kin. Roughly 400 Beast Kins hide in Dongchuan Guang, mostly in the Western District.

Numbering: Each Beast Kin has a unique numbered tattoo. Tattoo locations vary per individual. This number is their research center ranking code, from weakest #634 to strongest #001. Higher rank means greater strength and research value.

Classification Levels: A clear grading system for Dongchuan Guang Mimics by human organizations:

- F-Class: Mimics with one Mutation Point, unable to control it freely.

- E-Class: Mimics with one Mutation Point, able to control it freely.

- D-Class: Mimics with two or more Mutation Points.

- C-Class: Specifically newborn Primordials.

- B-Class: Average Neos; moderately strong Beast Kins.

- A-Class: Powerful Beast Kins or Neos.

- S-Class: Beast Kins with strong abilities and potent Mutation Points; Neos perfectly fused with Primordial bloodlines; adult Primordials.

- Special S-Class: Specifically adult Primordials with immense power and mature clan mutations.

- SS-Class: Specifically Beast Kins with extraordinary strength, rare special Mutation Points, and high research value.

- SSS-Class: Specifically legendary but documented super Primordials or Neos.

Judge: City mercenaries. Humans who hunt Mimic monsters for a living. Also called Demon Hunters, exorcists, or hunters. Some have day jobs but become hunters at night, taking missions. The underworld offers bounties and tasks for killing Mimics. Some hunt for money, others for revenge, some for faith. Their ranks are simple: veterans and rookies.

Outsider: Officially the Special Species Strategy Response and Prevention Bureau, abbreviated TWS. They police the underground city, managing Mimic-Judge conflicts to keep humans unaware. They handle aftermaths and rarely intervene directly. But if Mimics break rules, they secretly aid Judges heavily. Many Mimic-hunting bounties are actually issued by Outsiders.

TWS Job Classifications:

- Outsider: Not the whole TWS—just one role. Due to their fame, the name often refers to the entire organization. Outsiders are TWS’s elite enforcers, dealing with rule-breaking Mimics and Judges. Few in number, but each is an elite among elites.

- Observer: TWS’s informants spread across the entire city.

- Researcher: Scientists specializing in Mimic studies.

- Esper: Unknown. Details pending.
