"Coldsmile, how do you plan to arrange this?" Yeping asked.

"Arrange? He’s the same kind of thing as us, isn’t he?"

"Obviously~"

"Then pitting ordinary humans against him is useless… Fine~ Wait. I’ll set up Great White Shark Bing to fight him!"

"Heh~ That dumb fish?" Yeping chuckled lightly.

"After they finish. Once Bing wraps up the finals, I’ll arrange a mystery challenger… Watch for yourselves." Coldsmile tossed this off and left us.

"Let’s go. We’ll take a look." Yeping turned to me with a bright, sly smile—definitely up to no good.

"…" Well, you never ask for my opinion anyway.

"Xiaobai, look at that Shoryuken punch. If you got hit, would you die?" Seated, Yeping suddenly shook my arm.

"…" I was speechless.

"Hmm? Why so quiet?" She grinned playfully.

"…" What could I even say? Admit I’d croak?

The boxer hit by the Shoryuken lay on the floor, spitting out what looked like a pound of blood before collapsing.

Damn, this was life-or-death stuff.

"The winner is Hurricane Fist Po! Next up, today’s main event: the finals! Hurricane Po versus our reigning champion, the Great White Shark—Bing the Great White Shark!" The ring announcer boomed.

"Bing! Bing! Bing!" The crowd chanted below.

"He’s super popular," I blurted.

"He’s your next opponent," Yeping smiled.

"How do you know he’ll win?"

"Beast Kin No. 31: Great White Shark Bing. His opponent’s human. No contest."

"Bing! Bing! Bing!"

Amid roaring anticipation, a giant emerged from the fighter’s tunnel, climbing slowly into the ring.

Bing the Great White Shark stood there—over two meters tall, muscles bulging, face fierce. One of his arms was thicker than my waist. A human weapon, plain and simple.

"Am I really fighting him?" I gasped to Yeping.

"Ha~ Yep!"

"This’ll kill me!"

"Didn’t you say you wanted to get stronger? Real fights are the fastest way!"

"Heh…" I could only force a bitter laugh.

She had a point. I had no comeback.

"Fighters ready—begin!" While we chatted, the referee had already started the match.

"Hoo-hoo-hoo! Hoo-hoo-hoo!" The crowd’s deafening cheers shook the arena.

Bing and Hurricane Po clashed instantly, trading blows evenly. The energy was electric!

"Hmm? Not as strong as I thought?"

Wasn’t Bing a Mimic Beast Kin? No. 31 should be top-tier. Why struggle against a human? Was Hurricane Po that powerful?

"Heh~ Haven’t seen him in a while. That dumb fish’s acting’s improved," Yeping chatted beside me, clearly enjoying herself.

What girl likes watching brutal real-life fights?

"… Acting?"

"Are you blind? It’s obvious."

"…" How? Without her hint, I’d still be cheering like the rest, pumped up and clueless.

Just then, I spotted Coldsmile approaching us.

"Miss, isn’t Bing impressive?" he said, stopping before us.

"Good. His acting’s better."

"Uh… Miss, keep it down." Coldsmile’s face went cold as he shushed her… Unbelievable.

"It’ll wrap up soon. Xiaobai, think of a name. I’ll introduce you afterward."

"A name? What name?" I frowned.

"I’ll handle it. You’ll go up as… wait… the mysterious top fighter from Dongchuan Guang University who just beat Luo Dongba, city karate champ!" Before Coldsmile could explain, Yeping cut in.

"…" Speechless again.

"Okay, that’ll draw crowds! But you need a codename too—like Bing’s ‘Bing’ or Po’s ‘Po’," he said flatly, though I knew he was thrilled inside.

"Hmm~ You figure it out," Yeping teased, tilting her head.

"So flashy? Just call me Diao!" They ignore me anyway!

"…" Yeping fell silent.

"Fine. I’ll tell Bing not to hold back. Have fun." Coldsmile turned toward the ring.

"Wait! Damn it, Brother Cold?"

He actually agreed? Ignoring me for ages, then accepting instantly! Don’t do this to me!

Before I could chase Coldsmile to protest the name change, Bing landed a left hook on Hurricane Po’s face—while Po slammed a right straight into Bing’s head!

Both crashed down!

"One! Two!" They struggled to rise.

"Four! Five!" Still fighting.

"Six! Seven! Bing’s up!"

"Eight! Nine!" Po lay motionless.

"Ten! Winner: Bing the Great White Shark!"

The referee raised Bing’s exhausted arm.

"His acting’s really good." Knowing he threw it, his performance was spot-on—like he’d barely scraped a win.

"Hmm~ Xiaobai, wait here. Hand over your cash." Yeping suddenly pulled me aside.

"What for?"

"Give me the money."

"Why?" I asked, confused.

"To bet!" She grinned.

"Betting? Great idea! I’ll bet on Bing. Then I’ll fake a fight and win cash!"

"Heh~ I’m betting on you."

"What!?"

"Betting on Bing only nets a little profit. Betting on you? Odds are 11-to-1! Stop stalling—hand it over!"

"Fine…" I gave her 800 bucks.

"Only 800?" She eyed me with disdain.

"… All I have."

"Perfect. Now you’ll fight hard. Lose, and starve."

"That’s harsh!" I forced a laugh, thinking of Luo Dongba’s 5,000 debt.

"Heh, I know what you’re thinking! Jing Mei made Luo repay it—and gave the cash to me." Yeping giggled mockingly.

"You’re the smartest girl I’ve ever met," I growled through gritted teeth.

"Thanks." She smiled sweetly.

"Don’t leave yet! Today’s event isn’t over! One last match: a mystery challenger will face our champion, the Great White Shark!" The announcer’s voice cut through the arena.

"Starts in fifteen minutes! Place your bets now!" she added.

"Whoa—this mystery guy’s 11-to-1!"

"Hey! Don’t rush—he hasn’t even shown up!"

"Is he weak?"

"Who is he?"

The news sparked chaos among the crowd.

Fifteen minutes later, halftime over.

"Now, welcome back our champion—the Great White Shark! Bing the Great White Shark!" To flashy music, the towering Bing emerged again, surrounded by fans.

"Time to go, Xiaobai." Coldsmile appeared beside us.

"Brother Cold, change my name!" I pleaded.

"Uh… It’s registered. Can’t change it."

"…" I wanted to scream.

"Good luck." Yeping waved from her seat, still grinning.

As I followed Coldsmile to ringside—

"Later, when the announcer calls you, just step up. I’ll play your coach from below. Heh." Coldsmile’s face stayed icy.

"Coldsmile, one question?"

"Hmm?"

"Are you Beast Kin or Neo?"

"Beast Kin."

"Can I know your number?" My OCD demanded it.

"… No. 10: Black Panther."

"Now, please welcome… the mysterious top fighter from Dongchuan Guang University who just defeated city karate champion Luo Dongba… Diao!"

The announcer hesitated, doubting her script. After two seconds, she confirmed it and spoke—no one names themselves "Diao."
